We love these cabins beautiful spot a very quiet peaceful getaway.

Absolutely loved this place!! We booked dogwood cabin last minute and were very happy with our experience. Very, clean and plenty of room. Jessica was also very helpful and responsive!

The property provided an excellent and enjoyable getaway. The hot tub was clean and the integrated lighting enhanced the experience. We enjoyed playing our music and the secluded atmosphere. The location is advantageous, offering numerous activities within a one-hour radius.

Theresa and Mark are the best host. They always make us feel right at home. And you can't forget about Harley. He is the best little beagle and is always around to welcome you upon arrival. We would recommend this place and any other place hosted by Theresa and Mark.

We had such a relaxing and peaceful stay. The hot tub was wonderful and so was the view. We were so comfortable.

This is hands down the nicest cabin I have ever stayed in. It is somehow small and cozy, and open and spacious at the same time. The kitchen had all the things you need to cook up a meal, and even make yourself some waffles. They add nice touches of adding snacks and waters, breakfast items etc. The bed was not just a comfortable cabin bed, it was the most comfortable air b&b bed I have slept in. The only thing to worry about is the neighbors dogs. they chased our car when passing by since the neighbors don't keep them fenced in. They don't come to the cabin at all, but we worried each time that we would hit them, and they definitely didn't seem friendly. But as long as you don't wander down the road they won't bother you (I don't think). Highly recommend Joe and Cindy's cabin... book it, do yourself the favor!!

Everything was squeaky clean and so peaceful. The location was very private yet close to stores, etc. I wish we had more time to explore the property.

We took our boys to Steelville during one of our son's spring break from MIZZOU. We enjoy riding dual sport/ADV motorcycles and the area is perfect for that located, as it is, near the Mark Twain National Forest. The home itself was perfect - very comfortable and cozy. Wonderful view of the Merrimac River valley. Also private and secluded. Great fire ring with ample fire wood that we enjoyed nightly. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the great bed linens. We also hiked a marked trail that headed west from the home. We hit every restaurant in Steelville and enjoyed them all (Rich's Famous Burgers, Spare Rib Inn, Royal Garden Chinese)- despite all by one not serving alcohol (Mr. Tequila of course). We also headed about 7 miles north to Cuba where there are more great restaurants. The hosts were wonderful and responsive to our requests. Couldn't ask for more. And the price point for the stay was more than reasonable for what we got. Will be glad to book there again.

We loved our stay. The privacy, the closeness to caves and streams, and the ease of our stay made it a great time. My one concern is that we didn’t understand the different levels of the house that resulted in steps up and down between areas. That was doable for us but could make a stay difficult for others. I have no hesitation staying there again but it is a consideration if you have mobility issues. Thank you for your hospitality!

We traveled here for our spring break and had a wonderful time! Spent time at the river which was super close and enjoyed how peaceful our experience was!

We had a beautiful, peaceful, quiet time at the Cedar Cabin for my birthday. We enjoyed the natural surroundings, walking to the river, being near the horses, seeing the moon and stars, and just relaxing in this comfortable cabin. It had all we needed, plus the price was very reasonable. We definitely plan to return to this house or to the Backwoods Cabin. Carol was a wonderful hostess, and always replied to my questions immediately. Highly recommend this house--not fancy, but so quaint and built with cedar from their land!

Ahmar is the epitome of a five star host. He was incredibly communicative, swiftly responsive, and detailed. The property was amazing and was exactly how it was described. From the hot tub, to the projector, to the immaculate inside, to the very easy checking in and out instructions, the property was everything we could have hoped for. A nice cherry on top is the property is a couple of miles away from the Onondaga Cave, which we took an awesome tour of. This trip was for our one year anniversary, but ended up turning into our engagement! We will absolutely be back!

My wife and I decided last minute to book this stay. It was late in the evening, but Andy responded quickly and made sure the cabin was clean and ready for us, even last minute. We only stayed two nights, but we both wished we were staying longer. We loved it! Great place and great host!
