Cozy, perfect size for one or several people. Spotless, clean, looks like it was completely renovated yesterday. Comfortable beds and furniture, memory foam mattresses. Big comfortable couch. Fully furnished. The aesthetic was simple, not busy, nice color palllete with a blend of earth tones. Did a great job at blending vintage/antiques with contemporary appliances and comfort/convenience. Close enough to area attractions but farmland setting. Would recommend for sure!

Our family always enjoys coming to Nickel cottage. The game room is always a big hit, with much time being spent playing ping pong and the little ones having age appropriate toys. As a teacher myself, I am impressed with all the children’s books and classic toys. How nice it is to have a family place to gather and have fun! We also enjoy the beautiful scenery and neighborhood cows. We even saw a baby calf with it’s momma. Our Christmas is very special indeed - much due to Grace and her personal care of our family. Her little extras mean so much to us, and we appreciate everything she does to make our stay special!

We had a wonderful time in this great house! The house was big with everything you could ask for. Our daughter was getting married at Rock Hill farm which is only 3.5 miles away and the house provided us a quiet, peaceful place to come home to after a busy day and evening. There were sheep grazing beside the house! We didn’t get a chance to tryout the spa and pool, but maybe next time. We highly recommend!!!

Our month’s stay at Ruffner’s Ridge was truly wonderful! It’s a comfortable, welcoming home and so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. It didn’t take us long to settle in and know we had made the right decision for our vacation stay. We loved the natural light from all the windows and skylights and enjoyed reading and talking out on the huge deck. The king bed was really comfortable, and we appreciated the beautifully updated bathrooms and kitchen. The wifi worked great — a real plus when FaceTiming or streaming Netflix! Communication with the owners was great — Kaet checked in with us during our stay and was always friendly and helpful. Ruffner’s Ridge felt like “a home away from home” for us, and we made some wonderful memories there!

We found Debra's place very clean. Tastefully decorated and full of convenient amenities. She gave very helpful directions on how to get to the house. She answered all the questions or gave us information on how we could find out where to eat and what to see in the area. Both my sons were with me and they thought the place was very nice. We would hope to stay there again if we are in the Culpeper area in the future. I would recommend her place, especially for a family.

We have been to a number of rentals, both Airbnb and others, both in the U.S. and abroad. Walnut Run Farm is BY FAR the warmest, most welcoming, most perfect rental we have ever been to. If the property were for sale we would buy it in a minute, even as we much hope John will continue to keep and care for it for many years as the treasure it is. In renting John's home (and it is absolutely and in every sense a home), you have the chance to live in an extraordinary country house on a large, beautiful piece of idyllic Virginia Piedmont farmland. If you can score a rental at Walnut Run Farm, grab it.

David and his wife Natalie went above and beyond in preparation for our stay. We hosted our wedding on the property and David was eager to help make the days leading up to the wedding weekend go smoothly and stress-free. Both home are beautiful, the pool and hot tubs are fun and relaxing, and the property is peaceful and private. All of our guests enjoyed themselves at the wedding and their stay on the property.

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

Peaceful, the horse's were beautiful to look at everyday, it hasa relaxing feel and I worked third shift at the hospital and no complaints at all.

Accommodations are definitely worth the cost. Apt is clean with many amenities. Great location for getting around Culpeper Co. Restaurants and supplies are close by. You’ll find this space much more like home than staying in a motel. Host is very responsive and helped with practical needs.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The living space is beautiful and very clean, the land around the apartment and house are beautiful and the little town of Culpeper is so nice. This was the perfect place for us and our dog to stay during the week of Christmas that gave us some peace away from our families at night and we will undoubtedly be back next year. We could not recommend this place more!

My husband and I stayed at Kerry’s place for a weekend getaway and we had a wonderful time! The apartment is spacious and well appointed. We loved that it felt cozy and warm on a very chilly weekend. It’s perfectly located above the great coffee shop Before & After and is right on the main drag of Sperryville. Parking behind the apartment is super easy, and the apartment is just a few minutes by foot from RPK, The Corner Store, and Francis (cocktail bar). Kerry was super helpful and responsive and we loved our stay here!

This is our third time staying here! Perfect weekend getaway location to hike, see the stars, and enjoy the company of friends.

Monica’s place was a great spot to travel with our dogs. Walking distance to downtown Culpeper. Monica added extra touches to make us and our baby feel at home, which we were very grateful for.
