We had a fantastic stay at the cabin whilst on a weekend getaway. Stella kindly left clear instructions of how to get to the cabin, left a heater on for us so we were cosy from the get go on the arrival which was fantastic after a cold windy February day exploring the local sites! The cabin was extremely comfortable and cosy, we loved the privacy and were able to ‘switch off’ from our busy daily lives - a perfect break which allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The cabin was also in great proximity to a variety of locations - we managed to explore Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and the Gretna Green outlet whilst staying at Stella’s cabin. Thank you Stella and would highly recommend our stay to others!

Fab stay for me and my 2 children, enough space in the hut for us all to be comfortable! Really cute set up with all the huts and fairy lights! the kids absolutely loved it and there was plenty for them to do too - The park, waffles, the hall, mini golf and they actually just loved being in the huts! We took a trip to Alpaca fold too which was a huge hit with the kids so I would definitely recommend that. The only thing I would say is that you need to be organised with evening food, we thought we would be able to order however the first takeaway cancelled straight away due to location and the second couldn't find us so that was then cancelled. There's some restaurants nearby to get food but again you'd need to drive to them. We had the best time and will definitely be back:)

We really enjoyed our stay at Ben's Hut! We loved the accommodation; it was cosy, comfortable and completely unique - and the landscape and views were wonderful. A really memorable stay!

The Shepards hut was set in a beautiful, idyllic area of Northumbria. The hut itself was spotless and well decorated and it had a real cozy feel to it. The radiators did a great job of warming the place up when necessary and the owners were responsive, informative and friendly. Our only complaint was there were very strong winds on the second night of our stay and the whistles coming through the cracks in the structure were very noisy! But, can’t really be helped and it wouldn’t stop us from retuning again.

I decided to stop off in the Lake district on my way back down to London from Scotland. Liz's shepherd's hut was exactly what I was looking for, right in the heart of the area and dog-friendly so I could bring, Frida (little dalmatian), along for the ride. It was perfect for exploring the area and nice and peaceful in the evenings. The hut itself was spotless and had everything you could need for a short stay.

Really lovely night spent here. Great to be surrounded by all the animals, and particularly honoured to meet Rodrigo the turkey! A spot I will definitely revisit, thanks Anne for a short but lovely visit.

This Shepherd’s Hut was better than we could’ve imagined. We only stayed for 2 nights but it was very well equipped and could accommodate a stay of a few weeks. The location was idyllic and only a short drive to the nearest town. We had one day of rainy, windy weather but staying in the shepherds hut was so cosy and warm, looking over the fields felt like we were in a film. Derek was extremely helpful prior to and during our stay, promptly replying to any queries and being so polite. Check in instructions were really clear and a full guide with photos is provided which makes arrival and checkout go so smoothly. We would definitely come back

Had a lovely night away at Jo’s shepherds hut. Beautiful inside and homely, Jo was an amazing host and very helpful!! Will definitely be coming back ❤️

The journeyman is a fantastic place to stay. The views are delightful and Alison and John are wonderful hosts, providing a warm welcome and local recommendations. Barnoldswick itself is a charming town with plenty of places to drink and eat.

My partner and I stayed here for a night away and we both thoroughly enjoyed the stay! Hannah was lovely and so welcoming to us and we felt at home from the second we got there! The shepherds hut was clean, tidy and very cozy! The views around the whole area are stunning too! We stayed early in the spring and there were lambs in the field directly next to the hut, it was nice to see them bouncing around first thing in the morning when we woke up. If you’re looking for a short break away, in the country side and somewhere peaceful and quiet, we 100% recommend staying here! Close by is a pub that served the some of the best pub food we have had and there is a beautiful waterfall and walking trail a stones throw away too!

We had a lovely stay at the Shepard’s hut, which was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of great recommendations for things to do in the area, and the complimentary gifts left for us were a lovely touch. Host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this place!

The stay at Samantha’s place was amazing, we loved every minute of it. Very clean and tidy, she’s thought of everything to include in the hut. The hut was easy to find and she gave great instructions. She was very responsive and a lovely person who attended to every need. If we could have stayed more nights then we would have done, we’ll 100% be returning. Thank you for the best New Year’s Eve Samantha!

Had the absolute pleasure of staying here for my girlfriend’s birthday. The whole stay from start to finish was amazing. The hosts are both welcoming and accommodating, including a generous welcome basket. Comfy beds, amazing coffee, great water pressure and overall a perfect stay. We will definitely be returning soon

Just the change of scenery we wanted. Lovely location, nice and private. A great place to unwind in a beautiful part of the country.

We had a brilliant time with brilliant weather. The hut was very clean and the bed was very comfortable and it was extremely useful to have a kettle for hot drinks. We were also not expecting there to be solar panels on the hut which meant we could charge phones which was really handy . We love Rydal Hall and we enjoyed being so near to Rydal and Grasmere Water. Also great to be able to walk or catch buses so easily from the bottom of the road. A fantastic short break. Fabulous location.

This cabin is a beautiful, peaceful retreat, perfect for a solo escape or a quiet getaway. Despite being less than an hour from home, it truly feels like a change of scenery. The space is thoughtfully designed, cozy, and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. There was a minor hiccup accessing the cabin, but Beckie responded promptly and resolved it quickly. The sauna is a real highlight - I’d recommend setting it up at least an hour before use and keeping an eye on the heat as it builds. While the noise from the working farm was noticeable at times, it didn’t negatively impact the experience. One of the best moments was waking up to a special little visitor - a deer - right outside the window. Sitting with a cup of tea and watching it from the warmth of the cabin was a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to slow down, enjoy some solitude, and reconnect with nature.

Really nice little hideaway in a good location! Ideal for a couples get away in the lakes or for a stay over when out enjoying walks in the hills. Really nice and cozy and clean. Would recommend

Lovely, peaceful stay. Close to the centre of Cockermouth and a walkable distance into the town centre. The electric fire was also lovely and kept the place lovely and warm

Review Ali's woodland shepherds hut. Firstly I'd like to say Alison was a fantastic host and she really has created a special little getaway here in North Yorkshire. Splendid views in all weather (not fog 😉) and creatively appointed inside and out. I had a good few chats n laughs with her partner Andy.. great guy. I went alone no dog... Just me for a quiet three night stay .. I packed my car with alot of camping kit minus tent as I figured I'd use alot of my own stuff... Whilst there are most things you'd need at the hut and in the seperate kitchen sun room ... It's good to take things like your own camp chairs etc.. (they do have a few there but I'm 19stone and didn't wanna risk a shallow hal moment 😅). Shepherds hut: lovely cosy hut with raised double bed with bedding. Cupboards table chair and wood burning stove. The stable doors look out across the country side and there is a small covered veranda for two chairs... I really enjoyed sitting just inside with stove on..looki

Excellent place to stay. Lovely surroundings, great to get “off grid”. Relaxing and chilled with some really nice walks on your doorstep. The shepherd’s hut is the perfect retreat to get away from life’s chaos.

Absolutely beautiful property in an idyllic location. Ellie was incredibly helpful and provided wonderful guidance on the property and local area. We couldn't have found a more perfect place to cosy up and welcome in the new year!
