My stay at White Gum House was truly memorable. The serene surroundings, stunning views, and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. The house was beautifully maintained, cozy, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Amazing stay. Had kayaks in the house that we put to great use at the nearby beach. Overall, the house was clean and Louisa was very helpful!

Our holiday at Helen's lakeside property was absolutely fantastic! The location could not have been more perfect, right in front of a serene lake with picture-perfect scenery. The view from the property was breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. The spacious outdoor deck allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty around us, whether we were having meals, playing games, or simply soaking in the view. Inside, the house was just as impressive—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that Helen has taken great care in maintaining the property, and it made our family feel right at home. What made this holiday even more special was the fact that it was a multi-generational trip with our children and grandchildren. Peaceful, homely and unique stay. Our son and dog absolutely loved the place and it’s a great place to escape the busyness of life and reconnect with nature and each other. Tessa was quick and friendly and the check in process was simple. It’s a lovely area and community and the church is unique and fully equipped to cater perfectly to families, couples and pets :) we will be back! Thank you Tessa and family x

We had a lovely time at Stephanie's cottage. It was very peaceful on her property and feeding the horses was an absolute highlight for us and the kids! Although the cottage is right next door, it still felt very private. Stephanie was a great host! I would highly recommend her place to anyone looking for a peaceful, rustic stay.

We had an amazing stay! The place was fantastic – clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Kate was incredibly responsive and friendly, making everything super easy. The jetty was a highlight, with plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!

My wife and I had a great time. The highlight was the waterfront view. Spent a good deal of time reading on deck overlooking Lake Macquarie—so good! And kayaks were a nice bonus. A few things to consider: if you like running, you may need to drive 5-15mins to a good running spot nearby (I really enjoyed driving to Speers Point and running there). Also—the cottage is essentially one big room (plus a laundry and bathroom), so it can be tricky for one person to go to sleep while the other stays up. Overall though we had a fantastic time—would recommend!

We highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with amazing views to bond with family and friends! Our stay at this cozy home was wonderful. The views were stunning, with the lake, pelicans, ducks and birds all creating a relaxing atmosphere. The large, private backyard was ideal for family bonding, picnics, and fishing! We travelled with our 11month old & it was a great way for our little one to absorb the scenery & utilise the sunroom Pavla and Paul were incredibly accommodating hosts, allowing last-minute adjustments to our plans and making us feel right at home. It's the little details that count, and having hosts who genuinely care about your experience truly enhances the holiday. It was a memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return again!

We had a lovely stay at this waterfront property. The views were stunning and the little touches, like a bottle of wine on arrival, were a nice addition. The host was friendly and accommodating making sure we had everything we needed. It’s a great spot for a relaxing getaway and we’d happily stay again!

4 days at Captains Cabin was so relaxing. We went kyacking around the island & to Lovetts. Fished off the jetty & caught so many different types of fish. Flathead, Snapper, Brim, Flounder, Whiting... Scotland Island is full of lovely alternate locals wandering by & wildlife.

We had a lovely stay. Peaceful and private, awesome wildlife encounters one morning when 3 roos chilled out on the deck. The view is stunning. Appreciated the basic pantry, books, games, pool towels and tennis racquets.

Jenny’s place was absolutely wonderful. It was just a 2 min walk to the beach and 5 mins to the shops so super convenient. The beach was quiet even on a 27 degree Sunday and great for dog walking in the morning. The garden was fully fenced so very pet friendly and very relaxing to sit in. Both the queen bed and the sofa bed were extremely comfortable. The house had everything needed for a great stay including a range of kids toys. I would highly recommend Jenny’s place.

We had a great time. Louise from the start was helpful. Property is so beautiful and peaceful, away from civilisation I would say. Perfect getaway if you want to relax for a few days. House was clean and very cosy. Would definitely recommend and come back again ☺️

A fantastic stay in a rustic cabin. Mackerel Beach is a stunning spot, and this cabin makes the most of it with an incredible upper deck offering breathtaking views—not to mention what might be the best outdoor shower I’ve ever experienced! The perfect escape from the city to unwind and explore the simple things — cooking, bush trails, walks and swimming. We took our two young boys who loved it (they were also absolutely fine making the journey up to the cabin).

This would have to be the cleanest place we have stayed in. Great location had everything we needed. Elize was so easy to chat too and so very helpful. We will definitely be going back

Fantastic location, peaceful and ideal to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!! The boat ride to the accommodation is brilliant and Colin is happy to give his knowledge of the area. Cost of boat transfer needs to be factored into your budget when booking ($150 return) but all in all the money is very well spent on this accommodation.
