We were looking for a location near the beach, within walking distance and this spot was perfect. Our side window looked directly over the ocean. Heaven! I loved all the little things Susan did to make us feel at home. At check in we had bananas, granola bars, microwave popcorn and coffee available. Inside our unit she had pancake mix, syrup, coffee and tea available. We felt like we stepped back in time with what appeared to be a former motel turned into individual rental units fully equipped with a kitchenette and back porch. Susan’s detail to lovely decor similar to my mom’s 70’s home was endearing. If you’re not looking for glammer and glitz but a comfortable, affordable beach front stay, this is a perfect spot.

I stayed 45 days. It felt more like a home than just a “stay”. The location is central to everything you might want to venture into when visiting this beautiful part of California. It’s convenient to restaurants and a grocery store and a peaceful place to stay. It’s clean and supplied with everything and more that you need or want to make your stay pleasurable.

Sea Escape is an amazing experience at an incredible price! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are high quality, the shower is clean and very efficient, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The best part of all is the easy and quick access to a wonderful beach that is pristine and where you feel like you have the whole beach to yourself. I am very pleased with my experience and I plan to return! Brent

Went for our honeymoon and stayed almost two weeks. We were sad to go but will be back!

The apartment was extremely convenient for our purposes (ie, leaving and driving to a park to hike all day). It's right on US101 so there is road noise, but Brandee provides ear plugs. We spent very little time in the apartment, so I can't speak to its comfort-level other than for sleeping (which was great).

Very cute airbnb with a lot of care and detail put in. They were very thorough and thoughtful with providing suggestions in their binder, laundry supplies, a few snacks, and clear instructions for entering. Definitely worth the stay:)

**Spectacular Stay at The Ugly Marlin!** Our stay at The Ugly Marlin was absolutely perfect! This home had every amenity we could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the cleanliness was beyond exceptional—something that is extremely important to me! I specifically chose this Airbnb based on the glowing reviews about its cleanliness and overall quality, and I can confidently say they were 1000% accurate. If you’re debating between this and another place—stop searching and **book this one!** It’s worth every penny, and you won’t regret it! We can’t wait to return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed here for my wife’s 60th birthday. There was plenty of room for everyone and lots to do around. The sound of the ocean at night from the master bedroom was amazing. Everything was clean and tidy. You can walk to the lighthouse and there are several places to eat within walking distance. There were lots of attractions around. I would stay here again if the opportunity arose. Thanks for the great memories, Dave.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pelican. It was fabulous to have the ocean views and being able to walk down to the beach. The house was clean and had plenty of space for us to relax. The beds were comfortable and clean. There were three bedrooms; the master was large with its own bathroom and a king size bed, one room with two double size beds and the other room with a queen. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We appreciated being able to park in the garage. We watched movies on the large screen TVs. Hikes in the nearby Redwood state and national parks were closeby. The nearby towns had the groceries and restaurants we needed. We would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the area.

What a beautiful and inviting home…and those views! The house was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again if ever were in the area. Lori was so responsive when questions did arise.

The place is wonderful. Super cute with all the amenities and comforts. Perfect location with a Million dollar view of the ocean from the from yard. Pete and Nina were very communicative and gave a very welcoming vibe. We definitely plan on returning someday.

Wow! Nick's home is the quintessential Grandma beach cabin, right down to the pink bathroom. While it is frozen in time, it is very clean, the beds and linens were wonderful, appliances new, well stocked kitchen, and everything you need for a great stay! It was so quaint, quiet, comfy, and that VIEW of the ocean - doesn't get any better. The lovely seating area in the dining room nook is the place to drink your morning beverage and wake up. The whole cottage is filled with family memories and treasures - you can feel the love and the many memories Nick's family has shared over the years. Great spot for exploring the Redwoods over the week we were there, and also worked remotely - great wi-fi!!!! Thank you again, Nick, for sharing your special home!

This is our second time staying. Never disappoints. Beautiful ocean views, comfy beds, relaxing hot tub and extremely welcoming host! Love this home away from home!

A stunning home with simply breathtaking views. We truly felt like “this is what vacation should feel like” while sitting in the hot tub soaking in the sunset. Beds were soo comfortable with the softest linens. Tons of extra towels. Bathrobes! Stocked kitchen with everything you’d need. The outdoor space is incredible and so unique. We walked to a brewery along the coast. Can’t beat it!
