Absolutely incredible place. Very peaceful and scenic and provided with everything we could have needed. Wonderful hosts, would love to stay again.

Last minute Valentine get away with our two dogs. Despite pretty grim weather, you couldn't have wished to be anywhere cosier. Surprisingly spacious and everything you could think of, provided for a weekend away. Basic breakfast foods provided and of course Juliet's famous delicious short bread and doggie welcome treats.Private garden space adjoining a wood and secure field. Dogs roamed and played freely and safety. Bring lots of dog towels if you expect rain. Lovely shower in the cabin. Very well designed compost in a separate cabin. We kept close for dog exercise but there seems plenty of options for walking.. especially to pub...It's between 40 to 50 minute walk away. So many birds. What a lovely time we had here! We felt so lucky to have met the kindest host and stayed in such a beautiful and soulful place. You can truly feel the love and care that’s been put into every detail. It was a special experience—we looked forward to coming back each day after being out. The stunning scenery and nearby towns were amazing, and we’ll definitely come again. Thank you for your warm welcome and for creating such a heartfelt space.

Amazingly beautiful location, it felt so peaceful! The accommodation was perfect, they have clearly put a lot of thought into what you'll need and how you'll use the place. The alpacas are fabulous! They are so fun to feed! Thank you so much for an awesome stay x

We had a great stay, was relaxing and a great location for walks, sightseeing etc. Mandy and Andy both very friendly and helpful. Would recommend booking ahead for any local pubs/restaurants as they are few and far between within a 10-20 min drive and busy at weekends/peak times, also bring a 12v charger for charging within the hut otherwise there are 3 point plugs 100m across the yard which can be used.

what a fantastic place! the cabin is beautiffuly decorated, squeaky clean and very comfortable, fully equipped with everything you could need. both beds are super comfy. the hot tub and fire pit made evenings an absolute pleasure. it was so quiet and peaceful. lovely walks nearby. highly recommend!

This place is heavenly! Super friendly and helpful host, they provide everything you need and more for a relaxing a country getaway. It's wonderful having the sound of the river next to you and really joyful watching the animals mooch about. Especially the Indian runner ducks, they're great fun. I would be back here in a heart beat, thank you!

Such a lovely hut for our anniversary. The place itself was so lovely & the owners were incredibly helpful. Such a clean and lovely stay. Would love to have stayed longer and will definitely recommend to a friend!

A wonderful stay. Mike and Anna are the perfect hosts, I cannot fault their communication and help with settling us in. The accommodation is peaceful and serene with a stylish mix of old and new. We had a truly lovely stay, thank you x (Minor note, the track to access the property is narrow, steep and bumpy. Would suggest a 4x4. A lowered car may struggle. Hope that’s helpful and certainly not a criticism.)

Thank you for an absolutely amazing stay, everything has been well thought out including little details like bread, butter, jam, milk and orange juice for breakfast. Everything was pristine and beautifully laid out. We really enjoyed using the fire pit when the sun went down. We brought our puppy with us and there’s some stunning walks to go on around the property. The little garden you can enter was also a lovely touch. We went for dinner at The Rising Sun which was recommended on the information board in the hut, 10/10 would recommend! Thank you once again for an amazing stay, we will definitely be returning again. What an absolutely fantastic hidden gem x

Jenny was a great host! The Cabin was spotless on arrival! Very cosy and well equipped... As previous guests had noted the bed is super comfy!! The outside area for dogs is brilliant. Definitely recommend the Culm Valley Inn! Fantastic atmosphere - delicious home cooked food - 15 min walk. Strand Stores serve an incredible breakfast and sell high quality local produce! We also enjoyed a nice day out at Sidmouth beach..

Beautiful place to stay - completely private and quiet. The hot tub and pizza making top off a stunning little getaway. All the lovely little touches and attention to detail made it feel really special and not ‘just’ an Airbnb but a luxury getaway. Luca was brilliant. Thank you for a magical stay.

I cannot fault this wonderful hut! Its location is brilliant for accessing some of the most spectacular surroundings of the South West coast. Super cosy and spacious, it really had everything we needed and more! Danielle is the perfect host, incredibly friendly and responsive.

Well-equipped Shepard’s hut with beautiful countryside views (and lots of lambs this time of year). Appreciated all the thoughtful extras like fresh bread and eggs and cosy bathroom robes. Great size bathroom and convenient private access to the hut. Would definitely stay again!

Second time we have stayed at these absolutely beautiful shepherds huts, and what can I say it certainly won’t be the last, Jackson’s mum is an absolute angel that showed us around the beautiful countryside. The kitchen has been newly renovated and it’s stunning and perfect for a cozy weekend getaway, also has the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, nice warm shower and a fire pit outside. We took our spaniel and the freedom is just what he needs, he enjoyed it just as much as we did. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough, perfect place to switch off and reconnect with nature. Can’t wait to come back, already planning the next trip this way.

We loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut, the surroundings were so peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. Feeding the fish was so fun! Highly recommend for a getaway.

I have just had a lovely stay at honeysuckle hut . So peaceful and relaxing. Managed to recharge my battery and unwind . Place is spotless and cosy and Jan is an excellent communicator but also respectful of privacy . Log burner a bonus as was the space in the deck with clear skys a couple of nights where the stars were so vivid . A great place to come back to after exploring all Dartmoor has to offer and I would highly recommend!!

This was our 2nd stay and of course we will return again at some point. So lovely and peaceful with beautiful surroundings. We stayed with our pooch, he could wonder a little bit as the yard is safe with a large gated enclosure. The animals on site are also friendly and just get on with doing their thing. Wild life is lovely to see, rabbits in the paddock and squirrels climbing trees, birds singing. We were lucky with beautiful weather too. We chilled on site sitting on the garden furniture on the patio in front of the hut. Our hosts were lovely as always and very respectful of our area so that we have a quiet time. Lovely people and nothing is too much trouble for them. Places to visit, Tavistock, we had a walk around and had food in Cafe Liason which is dog friendly and food is great, the willys locally made ice cream from the van just across the street. Goliath falls dog friendly woodland walk next to a river that you can have a dip in, in pooled areas.

Just what we needed. A cosy, quirky, well equipped and comfortable stay away which was quiet, private and had no light pollution. The log burner is perfect this time of year and even though some of the local roads are a bit on the ‘agricultural’ side (it is a farm after all) it’s a great base to explore Dartmoor from. Any issues were dealt with quickly (not that there were any really) and we would recommend a stay there to anyone.
