I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Nishant was very organised with the communication prior to our stay and Annu and his wife were so lovely. From the organised airport pick up (at a cost of $30 AUD each way) to anywhere we needed to go, Annu was very accommodating - and just lovely in general. The area feels like a small neighbourhood village but with good options for tasty food, and cute shops/stalls. 10/10 recommend

We had awesome 2 night's stay at Sonali's place - Studio Indique. It's a very spacious studio apartment for 3 people and a huge bathroom. Nice little kitchen in the corner of the apartment to cook or heat. Spacious dining and living space, albeit it's studio apartment. It also has high-speed Internet and nice garden outside to chill out. No TV in the apartment to spend good family time, and we were very happy about it. There are grocery stores and cafes just outside the home stay. So, you can cook your essentials or try culinary skills. Sonali also suggested us few good restaurants around Dharamshala - Sakura (Japanese) and Mcloed Ganj - Hot Yak (Chinese and Tibetan), where we had lip smacking foods. I also celebrated my Wife's birthday at Sonali's place with a delicious cake from nearby cake shop and red wine to make it special. Also, my daughter had medical emergency at the midnight, and Sonali helped us with the hospital details and guided us until she recovered. Thaks Sonali :-)

We had a great time, it was a very easy stay, the balcony view is amazing! Very quirky layout of the space also. lots of small places to eat around and the walk is quiet easy. We faced no issues at all, and throughly enjoyed the stay. definitely coming back.

We loved our stay in Karuna retreat for 5 days. The place has warm and cozy vibes. The kids loved the media room in the attic. It was a different experience for them. Since we were traveling by our own vehicle, we enjoyed the best of both worlds, the calm and peaceful neighbourhood of Rakkad and the hustle and bustle of Mcleod ganj. Traveling to the Main Square of Mcleodganj took 30 mins. Karuna Retreat is very close to Norbulingka Institute which was a great place to sit and just enjoy some peaceful moments. Star and constellations gazing was our favourite thing to do on the terrace of our beautiful homestay. There were nice home run cafes nearby. A grocery shop was just round the corner. We loved the location. Our host Tenzin was an easy and proactive person to talk to, though we never needed anything as everything was just fine. We loved the collection of books there too. We really hope to come back soon and stay for a longer period of time.

if some one is planning for dharmkot i would definitely suggest to book this place, best view from balcony, easily accessible road and near by cafe, and best part is Mira(host) she would personally guide you where to vist what track you should do and also her mom is very helpfull.

This place was wonderful. It was my first stop in India so the perfect place to settle in. It’s a short walk from McLeod Ganj and is surrounded by great amenities including a couple of great restaurants, a shop and a gym. The area is a great mix of Tibetan/Buddhist and Indian cultures. It’s wonderful! The view from the balcony is spectacular and the kitchen is well equipped for self catering. I was remote working so the work desk was ideal but trying to work without getting mesmerised by the view was hard 😂 The team couldn’t have done more for me including getting an Indian SIM card. Thanks guys. I’ll be returning and I can’t wait.

I can't recommend Tara's place enough! Exceptional communication with Tara was very reassuring. Special mention to Rajesh Bhaiya, who was super-duper helpful. Amazing location, clean room, safe surroundings, lots to do around.

We were looking for a place away from busy Dharamsala that we could use as a base to explore the area and Ajit’s home fitted the bill perfectly. Located in Naddi, it is about 500m above Dharamsala and cooler. Accessing Dharamsala and McLeodganj was a breeze - if you have your own vehicle then no problem, else there are autos and taxis that ply from Dal Lake, which is an attraction close to Naddi.  The home itself is very nice. Very clean and neat and very thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction stove, gas, refrigerator, water filter, utility vessels and some common grocery items needed for cooking. The view from the unit is amazing - it looks out onto some village homes in the distance on top of a hill with terraced fields in between and the show capped Dhauladhar peaks in the horizon. The unit is located in the second floor - accessed by 2 flights of stairs. So, if you have seniors in your contingent or someone with mobility issues, it is something to watch out for.  Ajit’s family - himself, wife and 2 young boys were amazing and most helpful with some our specific needs. Since Ajit has grown up in the Naddi area, he knows the place inside out and is happy to guide and help out.  Connectivity was one of the best we have had in Himachal - Vodafone works great and so does Jio. All in all - great value for money for your stay in the Dharamsala area - we would come back to stay - for the place, for the view, for the convenience and of course, Ajit and family - amazing folks! 

We had an incredible stay at this homestay with our family of five! Sonam went above and beyond, even taking us grocery shopping on our first day to help us settle in. The rooms were elegant, spacious, spotlessly clean, and cozy, making it a perfect retreat for our family. The fully equipped kitchen made meal prep easy, and the host, on request, kindly prepared a delicious dinner for us when we arrived late. The maid was also friendly and cheerfully made us delicious gajar ka halwa when requested Our kids enjoyed playing with the host’s children and dogs. Located just a short walk from Norbulinga, the homestay is perfectly situated. While the approach road could use some repairs, it was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall exceptional experience. I’d easily give this homestay a 10-star rating! Highly recommended!

Dipti was a wonderful host! She even organized a cab for me to get to the place. She responded quickly to all my requests and the room was very clean with an amazing view of the mtns! There are over 100 stairs to the street from the airbnb, but it keeps you in shape. Might consider a place with a few less steps if you are elderly :) Definitely enjoyed two nights there.

We stayed at Sandeep's place for 3 nights. Since the beginning, communication was clear and an exact location was given to us. The balcony view from this place for sunrises and sunsets is absolutely beautiful. The place is hardly 2kms from Mcleodganj. There are small tea shops that offer maggi, eggs and momos among other things on the main road which is a small walk from the bnb. There are places for breakfast and even ration shops in case you decide to cook as this bnb has rooms with kitchens as well. We faced a bit of issue in terms of utensils but that was it. Sandeep was kind enough to connect us to people who helped us with Triund Trek last minute. We were only able to get permission for the trek because of his help as we didn't know about the ever changing rules and regulations. Would definitely recommend this bnb. It's scenic and central to all the spots as well as economic.

Calm, cozy and comfortable, the stay was just like in the pictures. The view from balcony is outstanding and the morning sun or absolute bliss.

Excellent place to stay. very near to Stadium. Neat and clean, amenities were provided well. Host is very very helpful and responsive even at night time. Very much homely stay experience it was for us.

I chose Anhad House after a long exchange with Neha, after considering other local choices, and her responsiveness and clarity in communication immediately put me at ease. I loved the pics she had posted of the property; they spoke to the creative person in me. Minimalistic, but with a lot of care about the ethos and aesthetic that was evident from the posting and the pics. Neha helped guide me about transport to and fro, giving me options and helping me figure out the best way to plan as this was my first trip to Dharamsala. Nothing of what she said was misrepresented: the reviews are all 100% true. The icing on top was meeting Rekha and her family, who are the kind of people you meet once and want to keep in your life forever. Rekha's aloo parathas are manna from heaven. What a soul gift this trip has been. I am 100% coming back for a longer stay the next time! Thank you, Neha and Rekha, for the most wonderful experience! From the heart <3

This is a spacious, sunlit apartment with 2 nice rooms, good beds, a functional kitchen and bathroom. There is no shower; bucket method only. Namita is a responsive hostess, nice as can be. She responds quickly and handles whatever needed. Plus, she is the best chef in Himachal Pradesh. The location is decent, a grocery store across the street and walking distance to other basics. Kotvali Bazaar and McLeodgage are accessible. I will stay here again when I return to Dharamshala.

This place is amazing, and exactly like I wanted - away from the crowd, fresh air, beautiful view of the mountains. This was my first solo and a long stay trip, more like WFH from a remote location. I had all the basic amenities setup to work peacefully and to cook my own food. I usually used to walk around the villages nearby after my work or in-between as well, and was lucky enough to attend a few family functions that Abhinav took me to try the local food, which I loved a lot. :P Abhinav has a beautiful family, who are so helpful that I felt home. :) There are lot of buses to reach Abhinav's home. But I preferred taking the toy train to reach Panchrukhi station and a 3km taxi ride from there. Overall I loved the experience and may visit again. Thank you, Abhinav.
