The stay here was fabulous and very relaxing! Our only issue is that the front door was extremely hard to lock, and after several attempts we still could not get it figured out. Otherwise, amazing place and Jinell was very sweet! I would recommend ☺️ the home has games, a sauna, a plethora of different items in the kitchen for your leisure.

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

We had a great time celebrating an 80th birthday party at Eileen's home. This property is right on the water, which is very appealing. The Bay is peaceful and serene. We would bring our kayaks along if we stay again (boat landing near by). The steps to get to the water were a bit difficult for our older family members to navigate. We loved the flat greenspace for playing outdoor games. Handy to have on site laundry and open concept kitchen/ dining/ living room. The loft area is open to the kitchen, so not the best area for light sleepers or late rizers:) Loved our time there, it's a special place!!

We had a wonderful stay! It was the perfect home to celebrate my mother in law's 70th birthday. It was so nice to have so many great amenities and kitchen supplies for cooking. It comfortably slept 6 adults and four kids. We also took advantage of the discount on lift tickets. The host was an amazing communicator, flexible and so helpful. Would highly recommend this place and would stay again!

We love it here! Jason's place is perfect for a large group, and has everything you need. Appreciate the 4 bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, plenty of parking space, comfy beds, and lots of space to spread out. Great location for access to the Birkie course. We look forward to coming every year!

Wonderful trail side place. Loved being in nature with more than your standard camping amenities. Beautiful cabins, perfectly clean bathrooms and showers, sauna, accessible firewood, quiet, right on the trails — and lots of hooks inside! Loved everything about it!

Lisa was a great Host from the start. My Family and I needed an earlier check in so we could get too my Daughters Dance Competition in Duluth and she made it happen and responded very quickly. The place was very clean and felt at home. My family and I will definitely be keeping this place on the list to return too. I definitely recommend this place to stay.

What a gem in the north woods! We loved the minimalist approach to these beautiful cabins. We had all that we needed and enjoyed the wood-fired sauna, cleanliness, forest views and friendly guests next door. Mo was an excellent host, so accommodating and a great communicator! We’d highly recommend ROAM!

We had a lovely stay in a warm October weekend! The house is super clean and stays cozy even when it was chilly at night. The property is beautiful and it’s located a short drive from a great beach!

The Bunkhouse exceeded our expectations. It was cozy, relaxing, and clean. We enjoyed being right on the lake, walking in the woods, a warm campfire, and the sauna! The internet allowed us to stream a Lynx basketball game, the porch offered quiet reading space, and the pullout sofa afforded restful sleep. Our old dog loved the calm outdoors and “Back 40”. We can’t wait to come back!

This place was incredible for us. Our experience reminded me of what Airbnb used to be. Lovable quirks, unique spot, friendly and fun hosts, and an experience you couldn’t get anywhere else. The kitchen was beautiful! Trails right out the door. What else could you want? Thanks for everything!

very peaceful get away from the pressures of daily living for our daughter who has a stressful management job. I was the perfect place to enjoy the lake by the fire pit enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

This is a great spot to stay in the northwoods! We stayed in the winter for a cross-country ski weekend, and found the Barn very cozy and homey. Nice that our dog could come along, and we enjoyed the wood-burning furnace, all the plants, and sunshine that streamed in through the big windows. Good vibes here and recommended!

Charming cabin set in a stunning setting. Cabin is right on the shore of beautiful Lake Owen. Convenient location to get to lots of recreational opportunities in the area.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect place to get away to and relax. The house is beautiful! Perfect views, very clean and amazing accommodations. Jenni was so thoughtful and messaged me ahead of time to ask if we need anything extra to prepare our dinner. We really had the best time together as a family! Thank you!

The cabin was clean and had alot of amenities. The area was beautiful and peaceful.

Booked the Meadow House for a short trip with my daughter. We were hoping to ski, but even though the weather didn’t allow for that, this cabin is perfect with direct access to the birkie ski trail. The cabin was super comfortable and clean. We appreciated the many hooks for hanging winter gear. We did not use the wood stove or the kitchen but it appeared to have everything you’d need. Be sure to bring your own hairdryer - we couldn’t locate one. All in all a great experience and we hope to return.

Return guests here! Had another wonderful stay at the Start Line Inn. Elizabeth, Mike, and Pup Man are always welcoming and make you feel right at home.

It was a perfect weekend getaway. Quiet and beautiful lake. Lots to do. Host was very helpful with ideas of thing to do in the area.
