We loved staying at Jayne’s place, we were there for a wedding at Springkell and it was only about a 10 min drive away so really handy. I actually think the photos don’t do it justice. Really cosy but spacious at the same time. Appreciated the welcome basket and warm aga in the kitchen. We said we’d love to come back and bring more friends with us for a trip away :)

We loved our stay at Lyn and Bobby's cottage. Whilst being spacious, it was cosy and comfortable with everything that we could have needed... and more, as there was a wonderful welcome package waiting for us when we arrived. A lovely surprise! The property was very easy to find - just one road back from the main street in Kirkcudbright - and yet it was in a very quiet road. The cottage's location ensures that it's easy to walk to the centre of Kirkcudbright and to enjoy all it has to offer. There are restaurants, take aways and a 'Tesco's' supermarket within walking distance as well. We parked on the road just outside the property, which was made unloading and loading easy. Lyn was a very proactive host, contacting us before and during our stay to ensure that everything was clear and that we were happy. We have only positive recommendations to offer and look forward to our next stay!

Had another fantastic weekend at Ruthwaite Farm! Absolutely love the house and we’re already trying to plan when we can next come back! The house had everything you could need for a break away. It was so clean and tidy and everything in it was of really good quality. You can tell thought and care has been put into the design of everything in the house and it is like favourite place to come away to. Plenty of space for adults and kids to roam around. David was fantastic with lots of local recommendations of things for us to do as well and very responsive to any questions we had. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a break in the Lake District and we can’t wait to be back again!

We treated ourselves to a stay here over the weekend of our wedding and it was just the best base for everything we needed. Excellent space and lovely host who was very flexible and helpful. Thank you.

A lovely cottage in Moniaive that feels surprisingly spacious inside and offers great value for money. The bedrooms are a generous size, and the well-equipped cottage suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen had everything for cooking, and it was warm throughout our stay. The only room needing a rethink is the living room. There’s just one couch and a chaise lounge - not enough for a larger group (4 adults, 2 kids and infant). Gina requested that no furniture be moved, but the chaise faces away from the TV, so I see why some might be tempted to move it. A desk in the middle may be useful but takes up space that could allow more seating. When we watched a movie, the kids had to sit on the floor. A slight rearrangement and extra seating would make it perfect! That said, the garden is fantastic, and lovely walks are nearby - great for relaxing and exploring. Gina is a responsive host, and the little extras were much appreciated. Thank you!

Beautiful little village, so peaceful and relaxing. Lots of lovely walks & great play area for kids. The house was lovely, well presented and the hot tub was an added bonus. The kitchen had an air fryer & toastie machine which is a great addition for families trying to make quick and easy meals. We loved our stay. The play park was fantastic with play area for young & older kids, bmx ramp & basketball court.

Beautifully appointed cottage with everything you could want. Lovely gift basket on arrival and thoughtful touches like fresh milk in the fridge. Was even better than described and the small enclosed garden at the rear was a safe space for the dog. Close to Annan for shopping needs and lovely river walk almost beside the house itself. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a weekend away at this beautiful villa for a family weekend away. Beautiful location with spectacular scenery on the drive in. The villa has the wow factor. Home from home, the hosts have thought of everything and we couldn’t think of a single improvement except for a guest book so we could write our positive thoughts and recommendations in person of places to visit in the area for other visitors to read. The kids loved the park, ducks and football court, they also loved reading in the villa and playing board games which were all in the villa to use. Myself and my partner enjoyed walking around the site and spending quality time as a family. We couldn’t recommend this villa or hosts more highly and we thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us so we could make forever memories to treasure. Stephanie, Scott and family 🙏🏻

Had a great stay in Drumlanrig Cottage. A chilling weekend split between our own hot tub and the additional leisure facility. The cottage was spotless, well equipped with fresh cotton bedding and good furniture in split level lounge. Back door lead to private patio with furniture and hot tub, from where we saw a beautiful sunset, while having a glass of Prosseco. We would definitely stay again.

What a beautiful location, 1 mile to the nearest road, right on the cliff top overlooking the sea, with a woodland and coastal path right outside. Slight issue with the Aga on arrival, but Fiona came out with backup kettle and stove, and the offer of a night in separate accommodation. And the Aga was fixed the next day and by the evening we were enjoying a roast dinner in a lovely warm cottage. The views from every window are just amazing. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, especially by our 2 year old Springer, Max. We hope to be back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay, great location and very comfortable accommodation, perfect for our needs. great communication from our host and very friendly. We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended!

Had a family weekend which was great from start to finish. The lodge was lovely, clean and actually better than described. Beautiful surroundings with lovely pub for food. Swimming pool was great too. Overall amazing experience - thank you, Sarah.

Just home from a weekend stay with our 2 young kids. We had a fantastic few days, some well needed down time ahead of a busy Christmas. The lodge was beautiful inside & out with everything you needed & more. The hot tub was a great addition - even in the Scottish rain! Karen is a superb host, couldn’t recommend this place enough! We will 100% be back in the summer months x

We had a weekend lovely stay in the cottage. It was very clean and cosy with a completely fenced in back garden with a hot tub. Lovely walks around and a shop within walking distance. Jane was very responsive when we had questions, which was highly appreciated. Would absolutely come back and highly recommend!

we found a little gem in this cottage, great location to tour around, found some lovely walks with great views in the surrounding area, the roads are a bit dodgy lots of potholes so drive carefully, the accommodation was well equipped nice little touches like complementary chessboard,procecco, fresh eggs, tea coffee & condiments, we missed a freezer compartment in the fridge but managed for a few days break, the bed was comphy the shower was lovely and the hot tub was great with amazing views in a private garden for our dogs to run freely, there was little treats left for them aswell, ide definitely recommend the stables

We were looking for something in the country and quiet and this was ideal. Great being dog friendly and only a 10/20 minute drive to some lovely beaches. We didn’t realise it was on a farm! Which was a bonus. We arrived a bit early just so we could find the cottage and our host came out to meet us and let us in early.

This was the perfect stay for my family when I was getting married at Brig O’Doon. The house was lovely and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area.

I always enjoy Moffat. Gareth's lodge is an easy to find excellent location. It has everything you need for a quiet relaxing break. A short drive into the village and all you need is there. Including a large Co-op. There are also plenty of walks. I highly recommend Gareth's place and will consider returning in future...

I had a lovely few days at Lesley's place. It's secluded and quiet which is just what I was after. The views are beautiful and I was lucky enough to have clear skies to do some stargazing. The house itself is well set up and comfortable. Lots of great locations within a short distance and Lesley had some nice recommendations of places to go. I would advise to arrive in good daylight as the track to and through the farm is very dark.
