Ann gave us a very friendly welcome and showed us how everything works. We really enjoyed our stay - we had everything we needed. The kitchen is really well equipped for self catering, and Ann and Dave had supplied coffee, bread, milk etc. as well as some nice treats. The whole house is really comfortable with several places to sit and relax, indoors and outside. Very well located for exploring Dublin - the bus is a couple of minutes walk, and around 15 minutes to the tram into the city centre. Also well located for driving to the hills and coast, and to historic sites around Dublin. We felt very much at home, and highly recommend Ann and Dave's place.

We loved this home. This little seaside village is an adorable part of Dublin! It’s lovely to stroll the walkways and green spaces along the sea and there are bikes available at the rental! We loved all the little shops, pubs and cafes from Blackrock to Dalkey.Our 4 year old was able to burn off some jet lag on the scooter, swing and on the slide. I wish the rain had held off a bit to enjoy it all more but we did appreciate the amenities for children. There were puzzles, books and stools exactly where you want them when you have a small child. The only inconvenience was that 90% of bedroom closet, kitchen/bathroom cabinet space was unusable. They were either locked or filled to the brim with owner’s personal belongings. We were staying for 5days but traveling for 5wks so it didn’t allow us to unpack comfortably. There was nowhere available to put our toiletries in the bathroom so had to live out of the suitcase quite a bit …not the end of the world- otherwise, our stay was wonderful!

Just back from a 12 day stay in Janet’s immaculate home. It was an amazing experience from the very beginning with Janet being flexible with the check in time which was incredibly helpful. The house is exceptionally clean, warm and welcoming. Her access instructions were extremely clear as were our departure instructions. The homes location is spectacular, right in Dalkey village with easy access to the Dart which was great for getting in and out of town and visiting family. We could not have been happier with our stay.

We had a wonderful time in Dalkey. It was great to stay in a neighborhood & take a quick bus ride into town with kids headed for school. The 59 bus offers easy access from Edel’s to Dalkey & Dun Learghaire & it’s a quick transfer to the Dart to Dublin. Get a LEAP pass to expedite your trips! Lots of good restaurants & groceries in town. Do walk to the Obelisk for a view!

Amazing location and a beautiful spacious house. Big fully functional kitchen for cooking the local fresh veg and fish. Would return without hesitation

Gabrielle was absolutely terrific! we had a family emergency and she worked with us to approve longer accommodations at her place. the location was perfect for us and very convenient to the bus stops and light rail. there was a great pub a block away and her home is in a very quiet cluster of cute homes. I would stay again!

Thank you for your apartment. It offered a perfect location for our family to have a base to stay while at a family event. The place is very well kitted out and has everything you need to enjoy a city break. Public transport is nearby and the dunnes stores on the ground floor has every kind of grocery item you could ask for. The neighbours are friendly and helpful. We will be back again!

Really loved our time at Shandon Cottage. It was exactly what we were looking for and the host’s communications were terrific throughout our stay.

By far, this was the nicest Airbnb we have ever stayed at. Everything was very clean, organized and the space was gorgeous. We had no problem checking in and everything we needed was in walking distance or accessible by the Dart. Sean and Lisa gave us lots of good info about the area with things to see and places to eat and were very responsive to any questions. We could not have been happier with this cottage and hope to return in the future. Thanks so much Lisa and Sean!
