My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

The most stunning setting, with gorgeous walks on the doorstep. Really thoughtful flowers and note for our mini-moon was really appreciated. Lovely cosy cottage, would definitely recommend.

This place is really great. The perfect setting to relax and unwind. You want to make the best of the amazing walks and visit all the surrounding coastal villages but you definitely will want to make sure you spend time back at the house on the hill.

We had an amazing stay here. The property was lovely, spacious, clean, in an ideal location and the hot tub was a great perk. Marie and Steve were easy to communicate with, super hospitable /kind and in general made our stay enjoyable and stress free! Would highly recommend.

Our 5th stay with Sue and Phil and we will be. back next year - that should say it all! We love the Old Piggery, it's like a second home in our favourite place. Always perfectly clean and well kitted out. The most beautiful location and we never want to leave! Sue and Phil are fabulous and always have a new recommendation of a day out, walk or somewhere to eat - even after 5 years!

we found a little gem in this cottage, great location to tour around, found some lovely walks with great views in the surrounding area, the roads are a bit dodgy lots of potholes so drive carefully, the accommodation was well equipped nice little touches like complementary chessboard,procecco, fresh eggs, tea coffee & condiments, we missed a freezer compartment in the fridge but managed for a few days break, the bed was comphy the shower was lovely and the hot tub was great with amazing views in a private garden for our dogs to run freely, there was little treats left for them aswell, ide definitely recommend the stables

We had the most wonderful stay! Angela’s cottage is beautiful, a relaxing setting with lots to do not far away. Angela was helpful from the time of booking and looked after us so well whilst we were there. This is a gem of a place with a fantastic host.

Super logement , cocooning comme nous le souhaitions! Accès à Édimbourg relativement rapide. Attention aux instructions d’entrée, car le tri sélectif en Écosse n’est pas le même que le nôtre en France .. beaucoup plus poussé ce qui est un bon point pour l’environnement . J’ai fais par réflexe comme en France ce qui m’a value à juste titre un message D’Ali . Si je devais repartir en Écosse sans hésitation je reprendrais le même logement .. le SPA avec vue c’est un bonheur!

Amazing from start to finish. Philippa is the perfect host - we stayed with our children and forgot our stroller 🙈 she kindly left us one to use during her stay. The cottage was lovely and clean, everything there you needed! Comfy bed and very spacious! Views were stunning - a real treat waking up to the Northumberland countryside.

We stayed in Penny's cottage with our dog Luna. The cottage has all the facilities needed for a stay in Amble. It is extremely dog friendly with blankets, bowls and toys for the dog. It is an excellent location and is very quiet, but only 5 minutes walk from the shops, pubs and restaurants. The local beach is only a 10 minute walk away and is protected from the open sea and so can still be used when the the weather is rough. There are lovely coastal walks to the North to Alnmouth and also along the dunes to the South. We had a very enjoyable short stay and would definitely recommend it.

We had such a wonderful time here. The cottage is great with fantastic views. Our dog loved the garden which was very secure, the cottage was exactly as described with good quality furnishings and appliances etc. Kate was very friendly and happy to help. Lots of information provided on local walks etc., there are walks you can do from the cottage or a short drive will open many more options. We can’t wait to return for another peaceful, relaxing break!

A great place to stay for exploring Warkworth and the surrounding area. Loads of space and a well-equipped kitchen if you're self-catering. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed Chris's cottage. We were looking for a peaceful and private retreat away from the city, and this place exceeded our expectations. There are many castles and walking trails nearby. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the bath is delightful. This place is perfect for an escape, and we will definitely return again!

This is a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s in a great location to explore Northumberland but very quiet & private. We self catered but there were plenty of places to eat out in walking distance if you want. We self catered and every piece of equipment you need is in the kitchen, including an air fryer. Our only disappointment was not getting to use the log burner as it wasn’t cold enough !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mary's cottage. It provides that home from home feeling with everything you need to completely relax. We've never been somewhere that's as peaceful and restful as Julie and Nigel's cottage. The freshly home baked blueberry muffins and bread on arrival were delicious. A really special little place and one that we consider ourselves fortunate to have stayed at. Thanks so much Julie and Nigel!

Wow where do I start , the cottage is beautiful warm and cosy , extremely clean , felt right at home , well equipped, everything you need , want to live there 😀

We were in Elie for 2 nights and the Cupboard was great for a short stay as we ate out both nights. Although exceptionally well equipped for such a short space it would have been difficult to cook. due to the lack of workspace. The design of the space is exceptional for the size of the space and the wood burner kept us lovely and cosy. There are 5 beds all together but it would have been a challenge having more than the 2 of us and our wee dog. We love Elie and will be back and it's very likely that we will use Short Stay St Andrews again.

Ellen had great communication and made sure that everything was in place for our trip as we were catering a Christmas dinner cooked by chef. The ample furniture was such a bonus and it was very comfortable. The location is stunning so much so that whilst on my stay there I decided to put in an offer on a property around the corner to live out my retirement there!!!!! What a fantastic find, a beautiful cottage in a great location. From walking in we knew we had found a great home from home, it was easy to find and located in a lovely little village. The local pub the Northumberland was 2 mins walk and had a fantastic menu which we enjoyed, local beaches were only 15 minutes away and dog friendly. What a great 3 day break which is just what we needed. Thank you Andrew (Host). We will definitely be back.

We had a four night break at The Yair and absolutely loved it. The house is lovely inside, cosy, comfortable, and has everything you need for a home away from home. The garden is beautiful and it was very enjoyable spending time outside listening to the birds and stargazing. We have already booked to come back for another stay next year.

We had a lovely stay in Catriona's place. We enjoyed everything about the cottage, but especially the treat of having a log burner on chilly evenings. Easy access to the coast at Coldingham was an added bonus - walking a part of the coastal path and a picnic at the beach were highlights of our stay. A few reviews mentioned the proximity of the railway, but we didn't find it a problem at all. The cottage was very peaceful and restful. Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely love to return in the future
