Lovely old house with old style furniture. We stayed in winter and were able to use log fires in 3 downstairs rooms. Plenty of wood was provided for this. House was warm despite very cold weather. The one downstairs bedroom was perfect for the elderly man with us. The hot tub was lovely and clean and sheltered. Easy to miss entrance to driveway as there are a few Branxholme properties and Branxholme Knowe is just around a bend. However we spotted it as we overshot and could easily turn back. Good location as in the country but 5 minutes to Hawick and shops. Overall wonderful place to celebrate my birthday and retirement with the family. I would certainly consider returning to this house in the summer and make use of the BBQ and explore the area.

The property is beautiful but Billy and Gill made our stay extra special. They couldn’t do enough to help us feel at home. The apartment was clean, spacious, warm, safe, cosy and exactly as described. There is a large lounge to relax in with a great range of DVDS, games and books. We also had access to the games room which our boys were intrigued by and found a lovely Pinocchio book, Disney jigsaw puzzle and had a little go on the snooker table. But the stand out was the garden with treehouse, trampoline and ride on toys - our boys were obsessed - it was all perfect for our needs. Nice little extra touches were the welcome treats on arrival for both us and our kids and a bottle milk in the fridge. Billy and Gill always had time to talk and make sure everything was okay for us. I had a treatment with Gill which was amazing and would definitely recommend. Already planning our next trip at Stonelea House - thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

A fantastic property! We stay in many Airbnb’s and we’ve never been so happy with a stay.. very clean and tidy, great facilities and even a few welcome gifts! Emma was very professional and responsive in communications.. everything was perfect! We enjoyed the log burner, for which there were logs, kindling and firelighters ready to go! The hot tub was absolutely amazing.. it has lights that change colour and it was very easy to operate.. it was all ready to use, we loved it in the evenings! Kitchen was well equipped and perfect for self catering, great oven/hob, and spotlessly clean. On that note, we were exceptionally happy with the overall cleanliness of the property! Excellent bed linen, towels for the bathroom, and extra for the hot tub. The location is so peaceful and private, a true countryside gem! I could go on and on!.. Thank you, Emma for such a lovely and enjoyable romantic getaway! We will certainly be back! :)

Michelle was wonderful. We had an overnight flight but were allowed to leave bags early and check in several hours earlier. Michelle was responsive and a great resource. Shower was a bit tricky to navigate, and could have used some extra towels but otherwise everything was as described. Had some trouble with the dryer our last day, but things break down so no big deal. We loved the location. Be prepared for City noise - some ear plugs took care of that! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Super logement , cocooning comme nous le souhaitions! Accès à Édimbourg relativement rapide. Attention aux instructions d’entrée, car le tri sélectif en Écosse n’est pas le même que le nôtre en France .. beaucoup plus poussé ce qui est un bon point pour l’environnement . J’ai fais par réflexe comme en France ce qui m’a value à juste titre un message D’Ali . Si je devais repartir en Écosse sans hésitation je reprendrais le même logement .. le SPA avec vue c’est un bonheur!

Lovely property, like AirBnbs used to be - with all proper amenities, like living in someone’s home. Not a clinical, soulless shell a lot of AirBNbs have become. 3 mins into bustling Amble, 3 good size doubles with comfy beds and clean linen/towels. Incredibly well stocked for everything like pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. Little things like board games and books super nice touch. Genuinely didn’t want for anything. Hot tub is a bonus and yard bigger than photos suggest. Georgie and Chris super responsive, proactive and helpful. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Amble.

Beautiful house, very clean and perfect for our stay. Enjoyed the hot tub and lots of space for a big group. Kitchen stocked well for a big group (lots of glasses, cooking utensils etc). Beautiful location, thank you :)

Secluded, clean and tidy with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Comfortable beds with plenty bedding and pillow options. Excellent location for a visit to the Scottish Borders as all towns are within a short drive away. Would recommend to friends and family without a doubt!

We loved the property. Very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. It was a nice touch having the Christmas tree! We also loved the location and enjoyed the tranquility of where the property is located. Hayley was responsive responding to questions and would love to stay again sometime!

We had such a wonderful time here. The cottage is great with fantastic views. Our dog loved the garden which was very secure, the cottage was exactly as described with good quality furnishings and appliances etc. Kate was very friendly and happy to help. Lots of information provided on local walks etc., there are walks you can do from the cottage or a short drive will open many more options. We can’t wait to return for another peaceful, relaxing break!

We had a lovely stay in Elie. The bungalow was perfectly situated for the beach with street parking close by. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 children and there was enough space for us all. We will keep Jo’s place in mind for a return in the summertime.

Lovely stay at seashell cottage. Large property , Clean and tidy . Thank-you to Jen for putting up the Xmas tree and making the house look so festive . Also thank you for all the extra goodies that were left. They were unexpected but a lovely surprise. The house is situated within walking distance to the beach, the Marina and the town . Had a wonderful meal in the Harbour inn which is just down the road from the house. Plenty of unrestricted parking also on the street . Across from the house is a field which is a great bonus for the dogs. The field runs down to the dunes and onto the beach . All in all a good place to stay and ideally situated for exploring other areas in Northumberland.

My family had a wonderful stay at Ronnie’s place! The home had everything we needed. We were all comfortable and had plenty of room. The back yard is spacious and lovely, so my children enjoyed playing outside. Ronnie really thought of everything! There were hairdryers for us to use and tea, coffee, biscuits and milk waiting for us. The home was a short 10ish minutes ride away from city center. We would love to come back to stay here again!

Lovely, cosy cottage with everything you could need from a flask to a torch! We received such a friendly welcome & Ali was so helpful via text if needed. Super comfortable beds & so quiet meant the perfect nights sleep. The small garden area was lovely to sit in & watch the buzzard in the trees with a coffee each morning. we would definitely return & highly recommend!

We were three couples in our 50s /60s away for a long weekend. House was a great entertaining house for sitting in the evening having a drink and listening to music. But great location for a day out to St Andrews, a coastal walk down to Pittenweem or just coming out in Anstruther. House was fab, fantastic rainfall shower in upstairs bathroom, 3 huge bedrooms and plenty socialising space between the two living rooms/ dining area and patio areas. Would definitely recommend this house.

Possibly the nicest holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in! Very comfortable, lovely furnishings and local art, wonderful bedrooms and bathrooms. The location is excellent - wonderfully placed for walks in Upper Coquetdale or days out to Rothbury, Cragside, and Alnwick. We are already wondering how soon we can return…

How was your host Nathalie is an attentive host, phone call on arrival as we’d got a little lost! Explained all facilities and gave us tips for days out & eating out recommendations. Perfect host. How clean was lodge Despite the smell of dog when we first entered the lodge, once we got inside & unpacked everything was clean & tidy. Plenty of cleaning products should we have needed them (we had brought our own just in case) Both bathrooms were clean smelt fresh. Facilities WiFi was a lovely addition, perfect for me to play on social media uploading my photos from each day. Lovely furniture with plenty of space to relax inside & on the deck. View of lake was stunning. Everything you need in kitchen & throughout the lodge from books, games, video games. Everything has been thought of. Thankfully the gas bottle held out. I did find this part a bit stressful. Understandably, Nathalie is concerned at the cost of gas bottles & fair usage of it. Perfect stay! We have loved it. Thank you

Absolutely excellent! Wish I could give John and Honeymug six stars. The cottage was a true home-from-home. It was comfy, cosy, well-equipped and just perfect for a family getaway. The host really had thought of everything from local walk guides, books, DVDs, towels for the dog … everything! I could’ve stayed for weeks. The holiday cottage site was an amazing bonus. We were expecting a pool and a gym, however these has recently been renovated to include an outside hot tub, sauna, steam room and excellent luxe facilities. An amazing added bonus. I didn’t want to leave! My teenager loved the gym while his younger siblings enjoyed the games room with pool table. We were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant on site too. We had an issue with the DVD player not working and John came the next day to replace it. Awesome host. Beautiful location. Fantastic base to explore Northumberland and everything it has to offer. Highly recommend!

Nice big place. Clean and tidy. Nice little starter pack of bread milk etc left for us. Plenty of towels. Rooftop terrace with heating and use of pool. A lot of fobs and keys to use but plenty of copies provided for us. Feather pillows, would’ve preferred firmer, but that’s a personal preference. Lovely host.

Fabulous little cottage. It's in a great area for nearby attractions. The Cottage itself is so pretty and contains everything you'd need. The games room, the pool and the chickens are an added bonus. We had a lovely stay.

Spacious and warm cottage in a great location for exploring beautiful Northumberland. Bellingham is a great place to stay with pubs, places to eat, co-op, butchers, etc. We loved the Hareshaw Linn walk to the waterfall, followed by a visit to Tea on The Train, which is a fun way to have lunch on an old Inter City train carriage! Kielder Observatory is only 30 minutes away for unbeatable stargazing. What a fantastic trip! We will look for Norma's cottage again on our next visit to Northumberland.

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!
