This place is beyond words! Spent 4 days...booked 7 for next year. What a gem! Beachcombing, on your own private cove, the setting, the view... saw habour porpoise, seal, eagles and of course lots of deer. An incredible getaway to disconnect. Only wanted to stay longer! The place is simply perfect! Even the fog is fascinating and atmospheric. Never slept better! Thanks Ashley! Much appreciated...see you next year Deer Island and Chocolate Cove! This was a wonderful place in such a beautiful part of Maine. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed getting away and having time to ourselves. It was nice being close to nature and being able to take a break. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking about staying!

We loved our stay in Lily's Gypsy Wagon. The wagon was comfy and cozy. The location was breathtaking and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature all around us. The campsite had everything we needed including plenty of seating, a wood deck, a firepit and a grill tucked into the trees but overlooking the water. The beach provides an amazing view of the Islands of Acadia national park, and was in a constant state of transformation as the tide came in and out. Our stay was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Thanks Lily!

Host was very nice and responsive, the cabin was in excellent shape, quiet and peaceful . Did not expect the owners of the property to also own a restaurant down the road, which completely blew us away with the food, atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend someone to come check this place out!

Abby's cottage was clean and fresh and in a beautiful location as described. Communication was prompt and clear throughout. Abby and her husband Brian were excellent hosts who exceeded our expectations.

The cabin was perfect, so clean and brand new. The location was amazing, private but still felt safe and secure. We enjoyed going for walks and looking for shells, it was all so peaceful. The house came with lots of toys and books for our 1 year old and also some items for our dog. Ashley was a great host, provided us with wonderful recommendations that were both baby and dog friendly which made the trip even better. Already miss the place and would love to go back!

We had a wonderful time at the Spruce Lodge! Plenty of grass to play out front and a lovely little beach for the kiddos to swim safely and comfortably. The water was warm, the lodge was quaint and perfect for a "camp" style getaway. The two men in our group are both around 6'6 and could barely fit in the bathroom, so fair warning if you are (very) tall - you will have to crouch while using the shower! This was certainly no strike against the camp, though! The location is great if you are looking for something that feels isolated while still having people nearby. We had folks walking around and talking to us but we never felt like anyone was encroaching on our space. Please note if you have a dog - there will be other dogs running around on the property without a leash. Andy was attentive when we asked for him to limit the interactions that his dogs have with our kids. He was extremely considerate, supplied firewood and even started our fire for us! FANTASTIC Stay - 20/10!

This place is a gem! Wonderful views, very cozy space, a huge deck, well-equipped kitchen, and close to a bunch of really excellent hiking trails. It was the perfect comfy and relaxing place to come back to in the evenings!! And Kay is so great, just so nice and her gardens are lovely. Also really enjoyed all of Randy's metalwork! Would definitely stay here again. :)

Kimberly is a wonderful host! She made sure to check in with us and see that everything was fine, and informed us well about how to get to the home as well as all the amenities available to us and other things to watch out for (such as being off the grid, etc.). I would definitely come back again!

Our second visit to MDI/Acadia. This Airbnb offers an excellent location to access the National Park and to Bar Harbor and Northwest Harbor. We arrived Thursday evening of the busy holiday weekend with three nights booked. Our cabin was a tidy, simple space, very clean and was all we needed for our stay. The cabin shares a wall with a similar unit though we never heard our neighbors during our stay. Dawn was friendly, cordial and helpful with local information. There was a "continental breakfast" set up in the adjacent Otter Creek Lodge that available to us and the hostess, Evelyn, was lovely to visit with during our brief stay. Unfortunately, electric power to the cabin was lost on the morning (high winds on MDI that morning/day) of our last day and we checked out early as the cabin is on well water and depends on electricity to pump water to unit and that being an "unknown" led us to check out early. Anticipating reimbursement by Airbnb for the loss of our last nights stay.

Of course it is a little hard to navigate the backroads leading to the cabin (Apple Maps did a good job for me but several others were led astray) and of course there are many neighborhood critters living in and around the cabin, but that's what we expected going in! What we did not expect was for Lori and Rob to be SO kind and communicative throughout, and so accommodating of our many strange demands! 🙂 Our team of four scientists stayed here for two months over the summer (we performed lots of biodiversity surveys on the trails around the property and conducted a large-scale field experiment right outside the cabin). It was a lot of people for one small cabin, but everything went incredibly smoothly -- the abundant and beautiful nature helped keep us all in a good mood. ☺️ Next time we need dark skies and fireflies, we'll be back!

We booked this space for my parents from South Africa and they had a delightful stay at Eastport. The hospitality from our host,Janet, enhanced our experience. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and we could not wish for a more attentative host. The unit was pristine clean and beautiful and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Janet- thank you for taking care of us in the way you did.

We loved every minute of our stay. The combination of rustic pragmatism and whimsey made this vacation spot idyllic. The outdoor lving spaces- deck with comfy furniture, grill, sink, jetboil, shower and bath were my favorite part. The design of the mini-house is spectacular. You'll find everything you need in the thoughtful layout of the cottage. Huge thanks to Terri for her excellent hosting. She was on top of sending us weather updates, local events/activities, etc. Cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

My family and I, along with my two dogs, had a fantastic time! The cabin was incredibly charming with beautiful views. If you're seeking a relaxing getaway, this is the place to be! Toby was extremely helpful and responsive. He answered all my questions and assisted me in finding the cabin when I got lost. I would definitely return again! The cabin is rustic, but it has everything you need for a pleasant and easy stay. The cabin was clean, the bed was very comfortable and warm, the bathroom has plenty of warm water. The heater was enough to keep the cabin warm. We travelled with our pet and she was very comfortable throughout the entire stay. The location is excellent! The farm is beautiful and has several trails to hike and enjoy the scenery. The area is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of fresh air. The cabin is about 10 minutes away from town, where there are plenty of good restaurants and friendly locals. It is also very close to the Roque Bluffs State Park. We had a very pleasant stay and Lisa was wonderful!
