Great place to stay if you don’t want to stay in the city. Easy park and ride into Edinburgh. The surroundings are stunning, a great place to wake up to! There were plenty of walks but we didn’t end up doing any of them as we had walked for hours in Edinburgh and couldn’t face anymore hilly walks!

Had an amazing weekend away. The cabin was lovely and in such a nice location. Hot tub was great!! Leigh was a great host always on the other end of the phone answering our questions. We will definitely be back! would highly recommend

I really relaxed there. The Hot Tub was very nice, and the cozy wooden house. Beautiful views. I have already recommended this place to my friends. I will definitely go back there.

We had a lovely time at our cabin, we had a dip in the natural pool which was refreshingly cold and also a long soak in the outside bath which was toasty warm. We took a walk around the woods and enjoyed the scenery. The cabin had everything we could need and was cosy. I would recommend this site to others . thank you

Three letters….. WOW…… Samantha & euan were the most pleasant hosts and very helpful. The grounds itself was very idyllic…we took our dog so there was plenty space for him to run around and we enjoyed lovely walks around the place. The view was incredible, waking up every morning with the lake right infront of you was just amazing. There was swans & geese on the grounds too which was a delight to watch each day. The lodge itself was very clean and beautiful inside, everything was at high spec and you could see the personal touches in each room. I loved all the pictures, they represented the grounds which I thought was lovely. We had a beautiful fire to enjoy at night and we also managed to heat the Swedish bath tub with no trouble. I’ve always been to places with hot tubs but now I’m converted. The water was fresh and straight from the tap (no chemicals needed) and the water stayed hot for ages. We enjoyed this at a lot. We will be absolutely be back. Definately worth a visit. 🌼

This place is a hidden gem. Rosie and Jim are excellent hosts, they made our stay incredible and we had the most wonderful new year. The house is better than in pictures, the surrounding fields and beautiful landscapes are truly incredible. We had a great stay and would love to come back!

Beautiful cabin with post-card picturesque views. It was a true winter wonderland which made for a lovely experience. The heavy snow did mean we chose to not use the hot tub as it does take a while to heat up and we preferred to stay in the warmth of the cabin but that just means we’re keen to come back again to make full use of the cabin and the surrounding things to see/do! Host was helpful and responsive, and all the information ahead of the stay helped us have a stress free trip.

Fantastic location! Felt like home away from home. Samantha was extremely helpful with the amount of information she provided when we first booked. Would definitely recommend this anyone looking for a quiet cosy weekend away!

We had an amazing stay at Amelia’s tiny home! It felt super cosy and surprisingly spacious for a small space. Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated, and we loved the welcome basket with cereal, biscuits, coffee and milk—such a nice touch! We didn’t cook, but the place had everything you’d need if you wanted to—plenty of appliances, plates, mugs, glasses, and cutlery. It really felt like a home away from home. Amelia was a fantastic host—really friendly and quick to respond, with clear instructions for check-in. The location was great too—just a short drive to Kelso and not far from other cute towns like Melrose. We had an awesome day exploring Kelso and a lovely evening back at the accommodation. Would definitely recommend staying here, and we’d love to come back!

My stay at the Love shack as a solo traveller over Christmas was perfect. The cabin was really lovely inside. It's quite a small living area but the bedroom was very spacious. Small cooking area with microwave, electric oven and 2 hobs so everything anyone could need. Bathroom and shower were spotless. There a large outside space with fireplace and chimney and plenty of wood supplied (also coal for the fire inside was supplied for my stay. Top up coal is provided for £5 a scuttle which is vety reasonable!!) Monty was very helpful the few times I messaged him and all in all, I had a wonderful time there!!!!

Very responsive communications on arrival. Lots to do on the site and loads to do further afield. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

This was the peaceful weekend away that I needed! The hut was very basic but had more amenities (kitchen, electricity, tv, ensuite) than I have had glamping elsewhere. I usually wouldn't book somewhere right next to other huts but took a chance as it was a quiet time of year and was pleasantly surprised to find that it very quiet and private. Bedding is provided when booking through airbnb despite what the website might say!

We had a great week at Haggerston Castle. The lodge itself was in a superb location, a short walk from the main facilities. It was private, quiet and spacious inside. We would definitely book again!

What can I say about Chris’ s Cabin… the perfect little spot on the prairie, although not the prairie but a lovely private part of her own garden. Tall hedges all around, private parking just outside the gate. Great sized patio area with plenty of garden furniture for those sunnier days. On entering it was just as described, spotless and clean and after the wall heaters had been on a while it was lovely and cosy. Given the outside temperature was around -3 in the wind. March at its best! Lit the log fire and we nearly had to strip down to shorts and t shirts, warms the whole cabin very quickly. Two great comfy sofas and rugs, the kitchenette is ideal for breakfasts and snacks for tea time if you don’t eat out. Comfy bed and hot shower! Being in Haggerston, you’re right in the middle of Berwick, Holy Island, Alnwick. Great Beach’s Chris and her communication was brilliant. Would love to go again, faultless!

Spent two nights at the accommodation and would highly recommend it. The place was in a beautiful peaceful location, the property was well equipped and very clean. Stefan and Samantha were very friendly communication was great. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Clean, modern caravan, set on the edge of the site, so was nice and peaceful. Only a short walk to the beach, and to the on site facilities and entertainment. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely adored the farm and all the animals. The place was incredibly cosy and clean. Everything was well-organized when we arrived. The view from our container was breathtaking, and it was an incredibly peaceful place. Clemency was a wonderful host who showed us around the farm and introduced us to the lovely dogs, ducks, chickens, sheep, and swans. It was a great place to disconnect from the busy city life.

Mary is a wonderful, attentive person who did everything she could to ensure we had the best possible stay. The place is perfect for a family stay, cozy, well located, an incredible experience that we will certainly return to. 🥰
