Honestly the best weekend away. We took two little ones age 3 and 4. And our dog. it was just perfect. Big swing outside. Nice and secure smaller garden for the dog. Beautiful peaceful lake. We went for a walk in the wood opposite and found a lovely tea room then a pub garden. The rooms are amazingly clean. Balcony beautiful. Everything you need is there; cupboards have food in too. And beers and wine and crisps and milk! Hot tub was great fun too. We wish we were there for a week! We will definitely be returning. Thankyou so much for our weekend

It’s everything you’d want, and more. The view of the sea is panoramic and mesmeric. The beach is a few steps away, or outside your bedroom window if you get your bags in before the rest of the family to bag one of the bedrooms on the front! It’s just what we needed and wanted. Laura and Jack went a bit further. A lovely welcome basket for us with chunky bread, local honey, milk, fruit and cookies. Log and kindling to get the fire going and a donations box if you want to take more from the store. It’s got a cost feel and sofas and rugs to relax on. It’s spotless with a great layout for relaxing with the family, sundowners on the balcony and star gazing later. I sat outside and had a coffee on the breakwaters before breakfast. The local pub is good enough, not great. We’d look a bit further next time but for a burger and pint it’s fine. Highly recommend Laura and her amazing house. We’d love to come back.

We had a great stay at Peter's cottage. Maybe review the cleaning with the cleaning company ... Low lighting for dinner in the evening on the veranda and a small cabinet in the bathroom to store toiletries 😉

We had a wonderful weekend at Sarah Jane’s barn. It is a beautiful building in substantial grounds with stunning countryside views. The whole area around it is beautiful too, and the South Downs way is on the doorstep. The kids had an absolute blast playing hide and seek in the garden (so many places to hide), playing in the tree house, toasting marsh mallows on the fire and going to the beach. They made bread in Sarah Jane’s handy bread maker each morning and she invited them to go and collect eggs from her chickens. As Sarah Jane lives in the adjoining property she was always on hand to answer queries or resolve any issues. The downstairs bedrooms were quite chilly on the first night we arrived, as the under floor heating in the barn takes a while to heat up. Fine for adults but a bit cold for young kids. However Sarah Jane immediately provided space heaters and a hot water bottle and by the second day it was very warm in all of the rooms in the barn. We would love to go back.

We had a lovely stay at The Stables. The space is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the location, it was great to have access to the field with the stream alongside, perfect for my son and the dog who both loved running around, exploring and spotting wildlife and steam trains! It is a great location with plenty of interesting places to visit within easy reach. Jo and her husband were very welcoming and took the time to meet us and ensure we had everything we needed. Thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated too. Highly recommend and hope to return in the summer months.

Lovely place with beautiful surroundings. Perfectly peaceful, which is what we really wanted. The cabin had everything we needed and more! We loved the little extras. It really was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This little caravan was a perfect place for us to have a little get away from London. Really lovely and relaxing just 5 mins walk away from the beach

We stayed at Susie’s place between Christmas and New Year to be near family who live in Bexhill. The accommodation is really quirky and tastefully furnished with interesting pieces of furniture and decor. I don’t know how old the cottage is but you can feel the history of the place… beds really comfy… great shower.. everything needed in the kitchen… so easy to access the beach and lots of excellent places to eat very nearby… all within walking distance. Hastings Old Town is yards away and great to explore the range of interesting individual shops … recommend the Chocolate shop .. amazing hot chocolate … the Crown pub …. again yards away never disappoints… great food… we also enjoyed brunch at Sturdee on the Rocks ( very good coffee!) As a host Susie was helpful and efficient… we didn’t need to contact her because she was proactive! Make sure you pay attention to Susie’s instructions about unloading your car and parking. We had no issues as we were prepared.
