“It’s the people who matter. Caretaker Mark and his family made us feel home from the instant we reached this place. These were some of the most humble people I’ve ever met. I was traveling with a 2yr old who wasn’t feeling well, Mark got medicines for us even late in the night. One of the highlight was the bonfire and dinner setup around it which made the stay extra special for us. The homecooked food was so amazing that we ended up eating at home on all days! Staywise- The villa is not luxurious but is functional. Location is at the centre with most attractions nearby.

This is my 2nd trip to Happy Stones. Last year I stayed for 6 weeks, and I knew I had to come back... Happy Stones cottages are set in the most sublime peaceful environment. The view over Horton Plains is breathtaking, and at night you can lay in bed and look up at stars. I'm a digital nomad so I stay in a lot of places, and I can honestly say this is best view! I'm also a solo female traveller and this is the perfect environment for someone alone, it's private but in the grounds of Chitra's home, and if you need any support either she or her staff will help you. Chitra herself, is a wonderful lady - kind, caring, friendly and light hearted. You can either buy food to cook in the nearby village or enjoy delicious meals at Happy Stones - the chicken curry is the best I've had (and I've had a lot!). The WiFi is excellent also.

Had an epic few days relaxing in Nilaveli. What better place to unwind than the penthouse with amazing views, super clean and all the amenities one would need. Everything here was spectacular. There is even a lovely little beach restaurant next door that has excellent food. Beach was super clean and Pigeon Island was so close. Best views from the deck off the apartment. Sad to leave - Thank you Elaine and Rory!

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this villa is an absolute gem! Tucked away in a quiet area near a natural hot water spring, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The garden is beautifully maintained, the rooms are super spacious, and there’s even a swimming pool to cool off in – what more could you ask for? But what really makes this place special is the incredible hospitality from the caretakers, Balan and Pradeep. These two are absolute stars – so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything you need. They go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of, which makes the whole experience feel even more like home. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Balan and Pradeep whip up the most amazing Sri Lankan dishes, full of authentic flavour and made with so much love. Every meal feels like a feast, and trust me, you won’t go hungry here! Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay – peaceful, comfortable, and run by lovely people.

Loved the place here. Everything was so organised and felt like we were staying in a 5 star property. The beach view was amazing! We made full use of our 2 day stay here by going to the beach and the pool. I had only 1 issue which is the lock in the common bathroom was not working. This was fixed in 1 day but , so that would be the only issue I faced. Outside of that I will highly recommend this place!

We stayed an extra day and still didn’t want to leave My favourite place in Sri Lanka , unspoilt enough to feel immersed in the local area but plenty to do and see , the local people were welcoming and to step out of the back gate on to the beach was paradise Hosts were helpful and breakfast was huge and delicious Please never sell out to the tourism storm on its way .

We hebben met zijn 6 en fantastische dagen gehad. We kregen alle ruimte om ons zelf te zijn en te vermaken. Met de deur in de tuin stap je zo op het strand . Vanwaar je naar de nabij gelegen winkels of restaurantjes kunt lopen. Mirjam was onze housekeeper en ze was er de hele dag voor ons. Ze hielp mee opruimen en hield alles in de gaten. Ze wilde ook wel voor ons koken maar dat hebben we zelf gedaan in de complete keuken. Zelfs heeft ze voor ons n wasje gedraaid. Je kunt er zwemmen. Poolen of n Film kijken op groot scherm met goed geluid. Er is zelfs een soort relax yoga kamer. Een balkon met uitzicht op zee. Op beide verdiepingen was een compleet ingerichte keuken. De bedden slapen goed . Handdoeken aanwezig . Zelfs een snorkel set. En kano s. Wij kijken terug op een geweldige ervaring.

Все привет! Провели в данном комплексе две недели. Все было превосходно, один из немногих вариантов, где можно жить, как дома. Удобная кухня, просторные помещения, очень чисто, если нужно убраться, то персонал всегда приходил на помощь и делал свою работу безупречно. Может быть немного дорого показаться, но это стоит своих денег. Я однозначно рекомендую данное место, тем более внизу самый лучший ресторан в Тринко, где можно вкусно поесть. Хорошее интернет-соединение, так как я работаю удаленно, это спасало меня. Отличный пляж в шаговой доступности. Видно, что место новое и развивается, поэтому со временем оно будет только лучше.
