Great location; great host. Being in Noord Amsterdam worked really well for us because central Amsterdam is super busy! An enjoyable walk west takes you to Noord Metro which is a mere 1 stop to Centraal Station and 2 stops from easier to get around Rokin. And going East you have the wonderful Landmarkt supermarket and brilliant cycle routes into the countryside. Duco was attentive and super helpful and he and his family have a wonderful home. Couldn’t fault it - 5 stars!!!!!

Die Unterkunft hat uns rundum gut gefallen. Sie liegt in einer ruhigen und idyllischen Lage direkt an einem kleinen Kanal, mit guter Anbindung an die nächstgelegenen Städte Hoorn und Alkmaar sowie den Strand, den man in etwa 30 Minuten mit dem Auto erreicht. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Besonders das große Badezimmer mit Handtüchern und Bademänteln sowie das gemütliche Wohnzimmer und die Küche haben uns überzeugt. Das Bett war äußerst bequem, sodass wir wunderbar geschlafen haben. Der Gastgeber war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, bekamen eine kleine Führung über den Pferdehof und wertvolle Ausflugstipps. Auch bei der Abreise erkundigte sich der Besitzer nach Verbesserungsvorschlägen, was sehr aufmerksam war. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!

Bel appartement à la décoration chaleureuse et très bien équipé que ça soit en produits et en matériel pour cuisine. Un coup de cœur pour la terrasse à l’écart du bruit de la ville. L’appartement est bien situé dans le centre ville où l’on peut tout faire à pieds. Belle découverte de la ville de Hoorn qui est très charmante et d’où on peut visiter Amsterdam comme ses environs. Merci pour les instructions très claires et l’accueil.

Great, quiet place with nice views. Easy to find, better if you learn the bus routes which you can tap on and off from. Basic amenities.

Perfect place not to far from central Amsterdam

Amazing place to stay, stunning views and surroundings , really beautiful authentic neighbourhood, great location, easy to get to and outside of tourist crowds. Blaž is a wonderful host. Absolutely recommended! Enjoy!

Ev konforlu ve güzeldi. Evin salonu ve bahçesi zarif dekore edilmiş ve kullanışlıydı. Herşeyden Önce tertemiz bir evdi. Amsterdama araba ile 15 dakika mesafede idi.

Superbe logement, très bien placer pour aller à Amsterdam et Zaandam en transports en commun, et Volendam en voiture. La chambre est super, le lit très confortable, on s'y sent comme chez soi ! Sita a été très accueillante et très gentille, très réactive à chacune de mes questions. Je recommande largement ce logement qui respire la joie de vivre !

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Airbnb hat uns sehr gefallen! Die Unterkunft ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, und es fehlte uns an nichts. Alle notwendigen Dinge wie Seife und Handtücher waren vorhanden, was den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gestaltete. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist, dass es im Wohnzimmer im Erdgeschoss hin und wieder etwas kühl war. Dieser Umstand hat unseren Gesamteindruck jedoch nicht beeinträchtigt. Zudem war das Klopapier während unseres Aufenthalts einmal leer, doch dies wurde umgehend nachgemeldet und schnell nachgefüllt. Insgesamt war es ein wirklich toller Aufenthalt, und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Maison très bien située dans la ville de Volendam mais également pour visiter tous les sites touristiques proches, dont Amsterdam, avec tous les moyens de locomotion trés proches même le vélo ! La maison en elle-même est très jolie, on s'y sens bien. l'étage est un peu petit pour 4 adultes et le fait que ce soit la maison principale de Nicole, c'est parfois un peu gênant. Malgré ces quelques points moins positifs, je recommande cette location.

Wir haben uns bei Sharon und Djurre von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie sind besonders freundliche und zugewandte Gastgeber und sind in jeder Hinsicht hilfsbereit und offen für Fragen. Die Wohnung ist komplett ausgestattet und durch eine großzügige Raumgestaltung sehr wohnlich. Jeden Morgen bereitete Sharon ein üppiges und sehr abwechslungreiches Frühstück zu, das wir sehr genossen haben. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr günstig: Man kann viele interessante Orte und touristische Attraktionen von hier aus leicht und schnell erreichen. Kurzum, wir können die Unterkunft jedem herzlich weiter empfehlen. Christa und Hans

Super séjour, Hôte très accueillant, donne les informations utiles concernant les lieux utiles à proximité ainsi que les moyens d'aller dans le centre d'Amsterdam. L'emplacement est parfait, excentré de la ville. Le logement était propre et super mignion, on s'y sent chez soi! Je recommande à 100% Encore merci !! Lana et Lisa

Ein großes Dankeschön an Elvira und Boris. Vielen Dank das wir eure Wohnung nutzen durften. Wir haben uns sehr wohl, gefühlt und die Wohnung ist wunderschön eingerichtet. Leider ist uns beim abwaschen ein Glas kaputt gegangen und Elvira hat super freundlich und verständnisvoll reagiert. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen und wir wurden sogar mit einer Flasche Wein empfangen. Wir können die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder🌸❤️

I couldn't recommend somewhere to stay more. The cottage was in its own little bubble of countryside. So quiet and peaceful. the cottage itself was immaculate and cosy. Very quick and easy to get public transport into the city. Angela is a superb host and was so kind as to let us stay on an extra night as our airline cancelled our return flight home

Daniel’s place is spacious. For a family, we were quite comfortable. Amsterdam weather was cooperating and didn’t have an issue with no a/c as keeping the windows open cools the whole place (mid-August). Kids loved the two cats: Kawasaki and Oscar. They were friendly especially after a treat. Make sure to download the GVB app and buy the EUR 25 ticket, as that is good for 5 people for 24 hours (otherwise, it’s EUR 9/pax). The bus stop about 20 yards from the front door will take you to the Centraal Station (4 stops away). The two flight walk-up wasn’t an issue as we had small luggages (learned from previous trips). Big luggages may be quite a haul. But the location was close to city center, yet away from all the busy-ness. It is only two floors up, so if you have windows open, you will hear passersby conversations or motorcycles passing; however, that’s the resident experience, so not a big deal. Overall, perfect for a family getaway as long as you plan ahead. Dank je wel, Daniel!

Excellent location for exploring Amsterdam. The park nearby is an added bonus. This place is close to everything one needs for a comfortable, restful stay. Nathan was a great host.

A fantastic apartment in Amsterdam, outside of the busy tourist area but easy walking distance to all attractions. Excellent location, great amenities very close by - supermarket, restaurants, bars, takeaways. We walked from the apartment every day and had a wonderful experience of this great city. Heleen is a highly responsive and friendly host who evidently wanted to help us make the most of the apartment and our visit. The apartment is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable - especially with the friendly and chatty cats :). An absolutely fabulous place to stay and enjoy all that Amsterdam has to offer. Tim & Elizabeth were awesome hosts. When we first arrived, Tim picked us up at the ferry dock and offered to drive us to the grocery if we shopped when we first arrive. They also brought us croissants & orange juice one morning and had us over for drinks the evening before we left. The houseboat is a 15-20 minute walk from the free ferry which takes you directly to the Central Station. There are also a couple groceries and a few restaurants within walking distance. Multiple modes of mode of public transportation are also available. We loved staying here. Located on a quiet canal with numerous houseboats, it was relaxing and peaceful. One of our favorite morning activities was to feed the swans and other water birds that appear outside the siding door; Tim and Elzabeth provide special kibble for them. If you are looking for a quiet place slightly removed from bustle of central Amsterdam, this is ideal!
