We absolutely loved our stay! Curt and Vielka are incredible hosts and made our first visit to Costa Rica absolutely out of this world. Curt is a wealth of information and a really incredible person. The breakfasts daily were delicious and the dinners too! The daily cleaning was also super helpful for those with kids. Curt also really helped guide us on fun things to do in the Arenal area. Can't recommend enough!!!

We enjoyed our stay, the home is as it's described, loved sitting on the balcony watching toucans and other birds. Loved the local feel of the neighborhood and how safe and friendly it was. Kelly's restaurant down the street is excellent as well, unbeatable value without sacrificing quality.

We absolutely loved our stay in Shiloh’s home! Betto and the others were all so helpful and were great cooks. Having meals ready when we got home from our activities was very convenient especially for our group of 11 adults. The beds were also super comfortable and there were plenty of rooms for us to spread out and have our own space. The home was in a convenient location in the middle of many of our activities and a short 20-30 min drive into the town of La Fortuna

We enjoyed our stay! It's a nice, clean home with scenic views in an authentic, safe community. We bought a few basics for breakfast (eggs, queso blanco, milk, coffee, juice) at the nearby community mini-market (a few blocks away) so we could make breakfast at the place. If you want fresh fruits & veggies, you should stop at a bigger market on your way (La Fortuna? Or El Castillo?). We ate dinner twice at the nearby La Terraza restaurant, which was good. We loved the batidos de fruta (fruit smoothies/shakes - 'de leche' ('of milk') . My favorite is the batido de papaya (de leche). My kids also tried the strawberry, pineapple, maracuya (and I think others, too!). We enjoyed the dishes we had there, too. Internet at the house can be spotty, but there's some cell reception, too. If you're on vacation and just checking your email from time to time and researching things to do in the area, it's fine; if you're looking to be a digital nomad, this is probably not the place for you.

El lugar acogedor, limpio y perfecto para tiempo en familia o con amigos, es muy tranquilo y tiene suficiente espacio en el estacionamiento. Excelente comunicación con el anfitrión, son muy amables y siempre pendientes.

We loved our stay! The property is beautiful and private, a serene hideaway in the rainforest while being close to La Fortuna attractions. We arrived later than expected and had to find the house at night, which was tricky. A helpful tip if you’re in the same situation: look for the driveway immediately after the bus stop on the left. The house was spotless, easily the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It was well-stocked with everything we could need, including a Christmas tree! While the lack of rugs or wall coverings made it a bit echoey and sparse, it stayed wonderfully cool. The outdoor area was a highlight, with a fantastic space and a large table for dining al fresco. The pool was excellent and watching the wildlife was a treat, we even saw the sloth! One thing to note is the few friendly dogs who hung out around the property and marked the porch. While they weren’t aggressive, it’s worth mentioning for future guests. Overall, this was a fantastic place!

Villa 2 was an amazing stay for our family of 5. Our 3 young children loved the pool and walking the property looking for birds, lizards, bugs, and the sloth. It was a perfect location to explore La Fortuna on our trip and was a great deal! Would love to return!

We loved staying at the lakeside cabin! The cabin is surrounded by nature, it is peaceful and the views are absolutely beautiful. In the mornings we enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the many different birds and other animals. The neighborhood feels safe and the access to the cabin is secured with a gate. Communication with Andreas was easy and friendly. We would definitely come back!

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. It was extremely peaceful and enjoyable. Wish we had more time in La Fortuna. We would’ve definitely stayed there another night. Waking up to the sounds of the water and the birds singing was truly special. We even enjoyed have the cattle next door as neighbors. Even the local restaurant on the corner was really good. We love Costa Rica.

Nice and modern apartment, located in a very beautiful section of the valley with great views of Lake Arenal. Tanyia and Rod were also very friendly and provided us with a list of local attractions.

Our Airbnb host was truly exceptional! From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. When we encountered an issue, they went out of their way to assist us, ensuring our stay was as smooth and comfortable as possible. Their dedication and hospitality made all the difference, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a host who genuinely cares about their guests, this is the one. Highly recommend! When I misplaced the key, he went out of his way to set an alarm and wake up early just to open the gate for us at 6 AM. His kindness and attentiveness truly made our experience stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here—thank you for everything!!

Lastimosamente, la temperatura no nos colaboró durante nuestros días en La Fortuna. Pero viajar es también hecho de encuentros y conexiones. Fue un reel placer de conocer a Luis y Yendrick. Un artista apasionado, una familia amable y una lugar muy bonito donde uno se siente en casa. Muchas gracias por recibirnos!

Es una casa grande, súper equipada, muy limpia y cómoda. El área de piscina y bbq es hermosa. Muy felices de habernos alojado, volveríamos sin pensarlo.

La fortuna nunca decepciona y en esta ocasión en el hospedaje de Adrian no fue la excepción, su casa es simplemente hermosa, acogedora y con una vista increíble, cuenta con lo necesario para hacer de la estadía muy placentera. El anfitrión 10/10, con su amabilidad, claridad y manera oportuna de brindar información hizo de nuestra primer experiencia en un airbnb muy agradable, Adrián muchas gracias.

This was property matched the description and the pictures well. El Castillo is a more peaceful area than La Fortuna and close enough to feel like you can go back and forth without any issue. The view from the porch hot tub is stunning and makes up for the rustic amenities within the cabin. There was daily construction starting at 6:00am on the house next-door, however, so I probably would not have chosen this property if I had known that before-hand.

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en este lugar. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos muchísimo de los días que pasamos aquí. El espacio es cómodo y acogedor, y la piscina fue un gran plus para todos. Además, el billar (pool) fue una excelente adición para la diversión en familia. ¡Sin duda, una experiencia increíble y nos encantaría volver!

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the volcano. Very private - no one else nearby. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the pool and jacuzzi—it was the perfect place to relax. The location is great too, just a quick and easy 15-minute drive into downtown. Kenneth was an exceptional host—super responsive and thoughtful, even leaving fresh coconuts in the fridge for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Excelente todo, casi al frente hay un supermercado y restaurantes a los alrededores, zona muy tranquila.

Esta lugar es una casa muy bonita con bastante espacio, la piscina muy linda y toda la propiedad está hermosa y cerca de la Fortuna de san Carlos. Tiene acceso a un río donde entra carro (algunas partes solo carro alto). La dueña de la casa nos trató super bien e incluso nos consiguió algunas cosas que queríamos. Recomiendo el lugar si les gusta pasar un buen rato en familia.

Karolina was an amazing host and the airbnb was beautiful beyond our expectations. The family welcomed us into the home and were extremely responsive in helping us get settled and acquainted with the area. We loved the stay and wish we could’ve stayed more!
