I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

One of the chillest host if not the chillest I’ve ever met! You’ll make an amazing friend out of your stay. The house is amazing, spacious and comfortable it has all kind of services you need! The location is also the best part about it. Really close to the airport and also close to a lot of malls and downtown. If you need advice on what to do around cario always ask Omar he’s so helpful!

My family and I had a great time staying at Ahmed’s place. The place was spacious and very comfortable and has a great view. It is very close to some wonderful restuarants which are all about 5 - 10 walk away. Ahmed was a great host and very prompt in responding to any questions I had. Definately worth the money. One point to raise and this is beyond Ahmed's control they closed the walk way along the Nile. Appears they doing some work so you could not use the walk way right next to the Nile. This did not destract from the great time we had. Would recommend this place.

Fatma is a great host and location is really good

Originally, I wanted to stay in Zamalek, but a local friend suggested I look around Heliopolis. In particular, close to a Metro station so that I could travel around easily & conveniently. It was only 10 stations to downtown, which took around 35 minutes. Rasha’s place turned out to be so much better than I anticipated. I really enjoyed my stay. So relaxing, and she provides almost everything you would ever need. I really appreciated how spacious the apartment was. We especially enjoyed cooking in the kitchen each evening, and hanging out chatting on the balcony or kicking back on the couch. The best part about this place is that it was always the perfect temperature no matter the weather outside. It was always lovely and comfortable. So there was no need to ever turn on the Aircon (which I don’t like using). Even on our final 2 days, which were quite chilly in the evenings, the place was still nice and cosy. If I am ever back in Cairo, I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and neat apartment. Donna is great person. She welcomed us with her father. Quiet place. She needs to fix the toilet’ fans ! Regards🇴🇲

Great apartment in a centralized location in Egypt. Onsi is a wonderful host. Apartment is very clean and has everything you would need. Well heated and very spacious. It has incredible views and is very close to great food options that open late. It’s in the same building as a brand new coffee shop. It’s in a great/safe part of town and is very secure. Definitely will be back.

It was the best place I've ever stayed in Cairo. Large apartment which contains everything you could need. I was so glad to find sun screen as I had run out, and shampoo too. The bed was super comfortable and I loved the balcony. I felt truly at home. The host is really friendly and helpful and even left bottled water, coffee, biscuits and other goodies for me. There is a very nice doorman called Mohammed who takes the trash, helps with the lift etc. and it feels safe to know he and his family are in the building. Safe and good area with restaurants and shops. There are so many nice touches, even art work by the host on the walls, green plants and tasteful decor. I was sad to leave!

it's my second time here and it was perfect like the first time. what I really love about the place is the calmness around, which in Cairo is quite hard to find!

Mo is a wonderful person. Through him, you can feel his passion for life and his genuine effort to make me happy. On the day I arrived at the airport, he overcame all difficulties to pick me up, arranged breakfast for me, and took me to visit the castle. After we returned to the house, I discovered that $269 I had left in my suitcase in the room was missing. Mo fully cooperated with me in reporting the incident to the police and continuously comforted me. I don’t know if the money will be recovered, but this doesn’t affect my trust in Mo. I still believe he is a great person. It’s just that Egypt has so many people living in poverty, which makes me sad. Such things wouldn’t happen in my country. This trip has left me with mixed emotions.

Good quality room. Be aware that the check in desk will ask for a marriage certificate if you are checking in as a couple. Took us off guard. The room was nice and clean. There is no cafe or any opened services inside the building so be prepared to go out shopping for food or drinks. There is conveniently a large new mall next to it. A good food court is there. Going to the airport is 15 minutes which was great.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by its charm, stylish decor, and warm ambiance. It has that rare quality of being “old like gold”—full of character yet impeccably maintained, with everything functioning perfectly. The host, Ms Alyaa, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The neighborhood had a great vibe, with kind and pleasant people around, adding to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a place that combines history, comfort, and a touch of elegance, this is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again!

في الحقيقة كانت إقامة رائعة وكان المضيف ودود جداً اشكره على ما قدمه وسعدت حقاً بالإقامة في منزله الجميل انصح بشدة بالتعامل مع محمد وإن شاء الله سأعود مرة أخرى.
