We stayed here with our dog during the off season St.Patricks day week and loved it!! It was more house than we needed so we were mainly just on the top floor and it was a little too windy and cold to use all the porches so we'll have to come back and utilize all the great space. We appreciated the fenced in yard and the warning about sandspurs. Our dog was fine using it anyway and we just picked them off afterwards. Perfect location and beach access. We used it almost every day to walk the dog. Loved the pier is right there too! Very clean and comfortable house with great hosts who were very flexible and communicative. Great spot!!

My two boys and I stayed at Dawns Beach cottage for spring break. There is so much to do or not do on Hatteras depending on your mood. Her place is convenient to the beach and convenient to restaurants and the skate board park. We went to Edge daily and Waterman’s. Also highly recommended the Filipino food truck Hoy Lechon!!! The cottage is a simple one bedroom one bathroom that was well furnished and clean. We spent the day fishing and at the beach as well as exploring Hatteras island. The memory foam king mattress was very comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied although we only ate breakfast at the cottage. My boys enjoyed the free range chickens that would visit us and my dog enjoyed the walks all over town. We would definitely stay again.

The house was very cozy and had plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out. We felt very relaxed there and really enjoyed our stay. Easy to get places as well and close to restaurants and other activities.

Stayed for 5 nights in March with our son. Easy access to the beach and great view of the water. Sitting in the hot tub and looking out at the sand, stars and ocean was a treat. We loved that we could bring our dogs with us. We have a very old dog and this place was awesome because it only had one flight of stairs and a closed outdoor dog run. Host was very responsive and made us feel welcome.

Second year in a row renting the house, which was very clean on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower, pool, hot tub, etc. Beach access is only two houses down and there is a designated walkway for you to cross. Low tide is great for surfing with 2 sand bars. The main road is busy, but doesn't bother you while enjoying the pool or decks. The house has everything you need for cooking, grilling, playing in the pool and going to the beach. There are plenty of beach chairs, beach toys for kids, a cooler, and beach buggy to carry it all to the beach, which is a small upgrade made by the owners. Staying there two years in a row we have noticed the owners care and have done small upgrades, which is appreciated b/c we have rented houses where you can tell upgrades have not been made in years. Kitty Hawk pier is within walking distance. The pictures represent what you will get in the house and are true. Mary and Andy were great with communication and we look to rent the place again.

The cottage was just the right size and loved that it was so close to the beach. It was perfect for the quick getaway that we were doing. The towels and linens were great, but could use some better pillows. Whitney was very responsive and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

Had a great time , steps from beach, the pool was super nice!!! Was offered hotdogs, cheeseburgers, and watermelon for 4th of July at no additional cost for everyone staying in cottages. AC worked great!!! It was record breaking heat and we where more than comfortable!!!

Ashley was a GREAT host, very responsive and a caring host. Provided high chair requested, allowed an earlier check-in to help accomodate special needs child and was very concern when access lock was having problems and responsive. Problem was pribably our mittle hands tiuching all the numbers. Pool was extremely clean and as described in pictures and notes. Had family of 17, 8 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from newborn to 13. Bedrooms were good size to accomodate and all suites having own bathroom was wonderful for 5 families.

The house, location, and everything about the stay was perfect. The house was very clean, and exactly as described. The pool and hot tub were both great and enjoyed by all. I keep thinking about the view from the living area of the ocean. Was definitely the most relaxing, stress-free vacation we've had in a long time, we'll be back!

Awesome find! The place is small, but our family of 4 was super comfortable here. Well equipped, with high quality linens and comfortable beds. We always bring our own pillows but we didn’t even need them here! It’s a short walk to the beach and the little market has great sandwiches. Host lives upstairs and is very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our vacation at this home very much. the description was accurate and the house very clean and well organized. We had to reach out to the host a few times and they were extremely responsive in a timely manner. The location of this house is awesome, grocery store and restaurants are just a short drive or walk. We enjoyed the 2nd story hot tub and the beach access was very convenient. The large recreational room on the 1st floor kept the kids entertained!! Overall, we had a fabulous week at this home and it was perfect for our large family.

This was the perfect first vacation to take with our baby! We had such an amazing time. The house was fully stocked with essentials, everyone had their our own bathroom, the location and short walk to the beach was so nice! It was such an amazing value, just all around, perfect. We had a very memorable vacation and everyone kept talking about how much they want to come back and how great of a pick the house was ! HIGHLY recommend!!! :)

My family had a wonderful time this week. The house was beautiful and well thought out with everything you could need. Brian was quick to respond throughout the rental process and made everything easy. The views were stunning. My kids loved the pool, hot tub, and pool table. The kitchenette on the lower level was great for easy access when headed out to the pool or beach. All around a fabulous experience!

If you're a beach goer, this is definitely the place for you to stay. The house is only a 6 minute walk from the beach. The house is very spacious. We had 13 family members staying at the house and there was plenty room for all of us without feeling overcrowded. We had a couple issues with linen, but the host was very responsive and handled the issue quickly. Being able to fish off of the fishing pier/deck in the back was a bonus. The host was gracious enough to allow us to do an early check in because family was coming in from out of town, and also offered a late check out if we needed it.

Everything was as expected. The beach access is a short walk across the beach and easy access to restaurants. The place is all that you’d need and was nice.

The place was amazing, private, really close to the beach where you could see the horses Inside you had everything you need The only thing is they didn’t have bath wash and shampoo or conditioners Only dish detergent But besides that the place was equipped with all you need

Cette maison est magnifique. Très grande et parfaite pour accueillir deux familles et des enfants. Grande cuisine TRÈS équipée. Nous avons manqué de rien, couvertures serviettes etc disponibles. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des chevaux sauvages directement dans la cour arrière. Vraiment agréable de faire la route dans le sable. On doit bien prévoir les repas/épicerie étant donné qu’il y a un bon 40 minutes de route ! L’hôte répond également rapidement. Nous avons adorés et recommandons sans hésiter.

This house was perfect for our group. We had 16 baseball players and coaches stay in the house. Everyone had a bed, plenty of room and the pool table and ping pong table were a big hit. It allowed for team bonding when not on the field. The house was clean and had all that we needed to host a team dinner for all the families down for the weekend! Highly recommend.

Like the description, it is a peaceful paradise! Outside has beautiful sunrise, and amazing open water views. We took great photos just form the front yard. Inside has artistic decorations. It is truly a unique property. The three-night stay is just too short for us to enjoy all the amenities and to have enough time to talk with Alan and Nora. Will come back again!

Very nice and clean 4 br 2.5 ba house. Kitchen fully equipped and all supplies readily at hand. We had 4 kids under 9 and 6 adults, so the deck was useful to give the kids room to play safely. I think the price was a tad high, but the availability was crucial. Staci was responsive to an important question on check-in day. Beach access was easy with a short 2 house walk. Beach-buggy for lugging sand toys and chairs was crucial. I hope to be back in the future!

While we were on our way to Arlene's house she contacted me to let me know the street and driveway were flooding due to the high waves. She said if it was too hard to get in, her husband would take us to the house in his truck. We were able to make it in but it was a very kind offer and went above and beyond! Arlene's house was comfortable with an amazing view. A lot of the beach had receded away due to storms which made walks on the beach difficult at times but the view from her decks made up for it. The only thing we could have wished for was a bit more yard with less tall prickly vines to walk our pup and to walk thru to the beach due to the driveway and road being flooded. All in all, we had a WONDERFUL time and I would come back again. Thank you Arlene for your very fast responses and offer of your husband's truck to get in! If we come back to the area we will absolutely see if your home is available again.
