This spot was amazing for our Snowboarding trip, and the group of friends who went absolutely love the location, and of course, right close Giants Ridge made it all the more better. Abby was very responsive, and accommodating! We do this trip annually, and will definitely be booking this again!!

The place was perfect. It had everything we needed and then some. Also, it is incredibly close to one of the alpine ski lofts for Giants Ridge (literally right across the street). We will definitely stay again!

Very nice place and in a great location. Would stay again in a heartbeat. David was very clear on the communication and made sure we had everything we needed. Cabin was well stocked with miscellaneous items in case you forgot something.

An absolutely amazing trip. We booked the boathouse to get away from the world for a few days and experience one of Minnesota's beautiful lakes. When we arrived at the boat landing, Julia was waiting for us and took us out to the island. During our visit, we never went further out then we could paddle. The island is a very serene setting - a perfect blend of awe inspiring nature, as well as rustic, yet very comfortable anemities. We spent our days sleeping in a comfortable bed, cooking lunch in the full kitchen while taking in the beauty of the lake, taking in the smell of the pines and exploring the waters on kayaks, paddleboards, and the aquabike. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset every night from the shore, and took our time looking at the endless stars before before retiring to the boathouse for the night. At night, we listened to the waves crash against the shore and loons sing to each other. To the people who grew up visiting the Northwoods, this will feel very nostalgic, and people who have never been will enjoy the new memories and experiences greatly. A perfect place to disconnect from the world. In addition to the wonderful nature and great boat house, Julia is an absolute gem of a person. From the moment we met her, she was so kind and welcoming. You can tell she has a great love and appreciation for the island. She was extremely responsive to questions prior to arriving, as well as when we were on the island. I cannot thank her enough.

Beautiful area. We enjoyed snow shoeing down to the lake. The cabin felt roomy and we gathered at the large table in the sun room to do crafts. Perfect for our group of 5. There are mice, so be prepared for extra cleaning and sanitation in the kitchen area. The fireplace added to the warm ambiance and we appreciated the availability of wood and kindling right outside the door.

Beautiful setting. You need to plan to drive to whatever you would like to do - but that is the case for most places! We were comfortable and had everything we needed. David provided an extensive list of area attractions and resources, which was very helpful.

Ive stayed with Kelly at one of her other properties as well and all was very good as this recent stay. We visit Ely a few times a year and will always check with Kelly for availability.

The cabin is very cute and cozy. The location is excellent, with easy access to Ely and direct water access to the Boundary Waters. Perfect location for day tripping to Kawishiwi River. The hosts' relatives who were taking care of the property were very friendly.

Great, rustic cabin with comfortable beds and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The lodge outdoor amenities were a big plus. We loved the screened in porch right next to the lake. Very peaceful. It was full of outdoor toys and floaties for my kids. The sandy beach was very clean and enjoyable. There were two docks my son used to fish off of. The playground and fire pit were also a hit! Bring your own oil, butter, foil, bags and seasonings for cooking. The cabin had plenty of dishes and towels. Hosts were very accommodating!

Joan and Don’s place was beautiful and they were very responsive. Don built much of the place by hand which is impressive! We enjoyed seeing faint northern lights, playing board games at the big table, cooking in the chefs kitchen, and baking in the sauna by the lake. For a remote winter getaway with a large group, this is the place.

Two friends and I stayed here for Grandma’s Marathon weekend. The condo is about 30 minutes from the start, which worked out perfectly. The condo is exactly as described, directly on Lake Superior with the most gorgeous views from the living room and master bedroom. We loved that each room has its own bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen for making our own meals. The indoor pool and sauna are a very short walk from the unit and are very clean and well maintained. There is a bike path that intersects with the condo’s driveway, which goes along the water and is separate from the road. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you Shawn, Everything was clean, convenient, and comfortable. All in working order. The view is spectacular. We so enjoyed the deck overlooking the Lake...peaceful. We were here for the golf and it did not disappoint. Two are in the top 100 public golf courses. We will make this trip again and definitely stay here.

Can’t say enough great things about this cabin. Such cute decor, clean as a whistle, such a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, awesome location. We would head back in a second!
