Our stay, on a boat moored in a canal at Regent's Park, was the perfect setting for a weeklong sightseeing stay in London. It was comfortable, clean, updated, and gave us all the room we needed. In addition, it was surprisingly quiet, given that we were in the middle of a world capital, and was marked only occasionally by the singing gondolier who plied the canal past the boat. Andres & Candi were very attentive hosts, communicating well about location and time to meet for check-in, and responding promptly to our questions and needs during the stay. I recommend them very highly!

Un endroit vraiment au calme et original. La cabane est spacieuse et bien équipé avec en plus une grande terrasse. Très bon accueil de Audrey et explications très claires ainsi qu’une flexibilité au top! Nous reviendrons.

Hello, We were two adults ans two kids and there was plenty of room to accommodate us 4. We had a great stay and a warm welcome. The location is great in Little Venice. Of course, if you go for this type of accommodation you know it will be somewhat different and exciting and this is exactly what you’ll get. Brushing your teeth with geese and ducks passing by - you can’t beat that.

J’ai loué la grande villa ainsi que la cabane « je ne suis pas du matin » pour y fêter les 40 ans de mon mari. Le lieu ainsi que la maison soit encore plus beau que sur l’annonce. Le cadre est magnifique, le cours d’eau qui longe la propriété, le parc arboré et bien entretenu, les cabanes qui ont beaucoup de charme et le jacuzzi qui est un vrai plus. L’intérieur de la maison est très joli, nous étions 24, 18 dans la villa et 6 dans la cabane avec tout le confort nécessaire. La cuisine est très bien équipée avec un immense plan de travail. Il ne nous a rien manqué, j’ai même eu le plaisir de découvrir qu’il y avait deux fours (cuisiner pour 24 personnes était tout de suite plus simple). Les essentiels comme le liquide vaisselle, papier toilette, sac poubelle étaient à disposition en cas d oubli même si nous avions prévu ce qu’il fallait. J’avais demandé une flexibilité dans les horaires car j’organisais tout ça en surprise et la propriétaire a tout fait pour que ce soit réalisable.

The water lodges were immaculately clean and very well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and lots to do.

Alex was extremely helpful before we even arrived answering questions and mooring the boat in a perfect location for us (just next to wedding venue we were attending). The boat was very comfortable and straightforward to get used to in terms of power, etc. There are some really thoughtful arrangements to make stay more comfortable and being able to feel at home straight away, like lots of storage and plenty of fuel the fire, etc. It is a fantastic way to enjoy being in London, but still having a lovely peaceful and unique place to stay. This was the most wonderful stay, The little boat is fantastic, so well appointed, it’s tranquil, the farm is so quiet and full of wildlife. We felt so welcome and so well looked after. The owners are so friendly They even went out of their way to buy me special food because of my allergies. And the on-site indoor heated swimming pool was such a bonus. To be honest, we just can’t wait to come back - either to the shepherds huts which also looked gorgeous or to Zena the boat. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a deeply relaxing enjoyable experience. The village is a very short drive or a lovely walk away and there’s nice pubs and a few shops. And the beach and surrounding countryside is also lovely. Kingfishers , herons, geese, dogs, baby calves, owls, bunnies, deer, birds of prey and then stargazing From the deck at night by the fire pit - Wonderful!

I’ve been to London 6 times, but this was my favorite trip! Martin’s boat was cozy and comfortable and was docked in Little Venice, my new favorite part of London. This is definitely an off grid experience. The solar setup on the boat gave me more than enough juice to keep my electronics charged and to provide lots of light. The stove is now oil-based and stayed on and hot for my entire visit—I was snug and warm the entire week. The bed might be a bit short for two tall people, but I was comfortable by myself. I used the handheld shower in the tub and had no problem. The weather is too chilly now in February to get a full tub of hot water, but I’m really looking forward to coming back during warm weather and taking a leisurely soak in the big clawfoot tub. Because the tub is below the waterline, there is a pump that pulls the water out and drains it in the canal—just flip a switch and 1 minute later, it’s empty—not complicated at all. Martin was a great host!

We had an amazing short stay on Hannah & Aubrey’s canalboat and we could not recommend it more! It was a located a 10 minute walk away from the Angel tube station & therefore it was really accessible to restaurants and coffee shops. There was incredible attention to details within the interior of the boat and we easily felt right at home. My partner was working remotely on the boat and the WiFi was great, we were very warm & cosy thought our stay.This was our first time staying in a canalboat & will definitely be looking to stay again.

Linda’s AirBnB was amazing. In fact it’s going to make bookings in the future difficult as they will have to live up to this one! Linda greeted us personally when we arrived, in the rain on a wet and windy night, and gave us a tour of Tamanzi and made sure we had everything we needed. The houseboat itself is fully featured with everything you’d need for a weekend or longer getaway. It includes a sauna, four poster bed, bath, shower (which was not quite working when we were there but Linda has had sorted since) as well as a hot tub which is extra. All of that means you can use Tamanzi as a base to explore all the surrounding areas (we went on a 15 mile circular walk along the Thames and back through Bushy Park) or just relax on the outdoor decking and feed the ducks. Depending on your circumstances it could be seen as pricey, but you really really get what you pay for and we’d definitely go back when funds allow.

Was one of the best stays we have booked so clean peaceful and everything you would need as most people forget something but if you did forget anything there was every little thing there very well thought out would definitely recommend a stay here x

Lovely place to stay. Brixham is beautiful and makes it so much more fun staying on a boat in the marina. Will definitely stay again.

THE most tranquil place to stay in Zone 1! I looked forward to coming “home” each day after a full on day in London. Such an adventure, I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place, very smart and comfortable Great to wake up to the gentle sound of water and birds and the very gentle movement of the houseboat.

This was a very special place to stay. We felt privileged to have access to this wonderful barge. It was so peaceful, sitting in the wheelhouse watching the tide come in and go out bringing an ever changing array of bird life in its wake. The place was clean and the bed very comfortable. Julian and his partner were friendly, helpful, inventive and creative. They gave us the information we needed, allowed us to come earlier than stated and although we shared the barge, it didn’t feel that way as our part was completely separate and private. We would love to stay again.

I chose Lily Pods in hope of a completely isolated, off grid experience. I got just that and more. The location is perfect for if you want to shut off normal life and be consumed by nothing but lovely walks (Heading to the South Wests biggest Gorge/Waterfall is a must), nights playing board games whilst the fire burns, reading your favourite book whilst sat on the dock of your pod listening to the water hit the pond from the waterfall opposite your front door. It’s Unique, beautiful and quite frankly the best experience for that price range you will get in the UK. If you do need a few forgotten things or a nice meal out, there is places in a well documented app put on by the owners and an information booklet inside the Pod. I decided to pop the question to my partner whilst here and thankfully she said “YES!” Hosts went above and beyond to get flowers and chocolates for my proposal and even laid on a bottle of Cava! Don’t miss this and BOOK IT UP!
