We had the best vacation with wonderful memories. The most important part of our vacation was having a place to enjoy with our older dog who loves to swim. This may be our last summer with him and coming to Higbys was the best decision. They directed us immediately to the swimming area for him and it was perfect. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way. Thank you for one of the best vacations. The memories will last a lifetime!

Perfect for what we were looking for. Very convenient ski in/out right off the slopes. Very responsive host and very clean.

We planed a LAST moment trip with our family. We had a group of 4 adults and 4 kids of multiple ages and we ALL had an amazing time and comfortable stay. We love Bemus point as a location and went and enjoyed walks around town and the sunset. Debbie was an absolute pleasure and a very gracious host. We loved her dog as well and will definitely book here again.

Wonderful place!! Home has all amenities with huge full windows & high ceilings overlooking the lake in a great small community of 50 private homes with lovely & friendly neighbors. Proximity to Jamestown & Chautauqua institutions was great. Use of bike paths in adjoining Camp Chautauqua(100 acre site with 100 mobile trailer homes & 20 small fixed homes ) was great Also private tennis/pickelball court available at no cost on premises & large pool on adjoining camp property available as well as 2 boat docks.Great & safe for young children as community is private with no through streets & most kids & people use golf carts. There is adjoining campsite playground on lakefront which is great for young children. Bring a boat or kayak along & use Chautauqua institutions nearby for nightly entertainment as well as day lectures , art instruction courses sailing school, variety of day courses & lectures with great theater & opera productions. only 3 miles away.

Our long awaited family reunion of 8 adults and 1 dog LOVED staying in the Plum Bush house. The house is BEAUTIFUL and spacious, the beds comfy, the water hot and the sunporch was the coziest place to gather for conversation and enjoy the welcome snacks and beverages. The pool water was a balmy 88 degrees and the grounds were a great place to hike, have a camp fire or play a game of corn hole. Mary and Bert were nearby to answer any questions and made us feel at home. We would love to stay there again!

Michelle was very kind! Her empathy came to the forefront when she allowed us to keep one of our cars parked in the driveway for a few days after check out due to an emergency. If you'd like a quiet getaway with family, this is perfect! We also took a 45-minute car ride to Allegheny National Forest and spent several hours hiking. You can walk to the lake, and the public beach access is only a 15-minute drive (it has a very scenic view). Highly recommend!

The home was actually better than the photos! It was extremely clean, first class, and well appointed. The attention to detail was amzing. She even left little snack baskets out for us. We had 3 kids aged 5 to 14 with us and there were tons of games and activities in the house for them to use. The dining table was large enough to hold all of us comfortably (we had 7 people). The kitchen had everything we could have wanted. There was firewood already cut up and ready to use in the fireplace. We also like how the house was laid out. The kids pretty much had the lower level, the main level was parents and main living areas, and the grandparents had the nice upper loft level. We had several questions during our stay and Denise was expremely responsive in helping us out. We hope to be able to return for another vacation.

This was my second stay at this house. It’s my favorite Airbnb by far! We’ll be back for sure!

we had a quick little visit as we drove cross country, but Sharon we excellent and the house was perfect for my family and pets. loved the little touches like a kids coloring table and water bottles in the fridge.

This was a perfect place for an extended stay in the area. Very spacious, beautiful and serene decor, and plenty of amenities provided. Lisa was an excellent host.

This was our second time staying at Claire's House in Bemus Point, NY. There are eight in our party with a dog. All the instructions and communications were clear and helpful. The layout of the house is great for our group. We can spread out in different rooms on the first floor and the bedrooms and baths are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We are hoping to schedule soon for Thanksgiving 2025, Two families are from the Berkshires in Western MA and one from Indianapolis. Claire' s home is conveniently in the middle. Bemus Point is very walkable. Bustling in the summer and quiet in winter. There are several places to eat even in winter. No driving necessary.

This was, far and away, the best house I have ever stayed in through Air B&B. Every possible thing you thought you needed to bring was already in the house. A fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, sheets and towels, and even extra bathroom needs. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to both the grocery and a few shops and eateries. You can actually SEE Chautauqua Lake from the house! Wi-Fi and TV options were plentiful, and there are comfy chairs in the living room if you wanted to stay in and catch a movie or a game. In short, I hope other hosts are reading this, because THIS HOUSE is the reason Air B&B exists. I’d stay here every time if I could.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse! The space was peaceful, private, and perfect for relaxing. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we especially loved the thoughtful breakfast treat that perfectly matched the theme—it was such a special touch! One of the coolest parts of the stay was getting to experience the free-range chickens, peacocks, ducks, and guinea fowl roaming the property—it added such a unique and fun touch to the whole atmosphere. The home itself is spacious making it an ideal spot for a larger group. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

The house was very spacious and had 3 really nice bathrooms. Common areas had a lot of space and we never felt like we were tripping over each other. Perfect place for quality family time and enjoying the beauty of the lake!

Wendy's Lakehouse was exactly what my husband and I needed for our mini-retreat after our daughter's wedding. We were mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted when we arrived; but after a couple of days of complete quiet and privacy in the house, walking and laying on the private beach, listening to the water, watching the sunsets, and basking in the fresh Lake Erie breezes: we felt restored and refreshed. The only thing that disappointed us was that we couldn't stay longer... life rolls on! 😅 Within hours of our arrival we were making plans to return- next time with our 4 sons- as soon as possible! We even were dreaming about bringing future grandkids in years to come! 🥰 Thank you, Wendy, for providing this peaceful retreat!

Really nice location and fairly priced accomodation. It is a downstairs accomodation, rooms are not huge but big enough. Overall a great stay.

Kathleen’s home was perfect! We felt comfortable from the beginning. It was well stocked with extras. A great place to visit with an elderly person, or someone with limited physical abilities. There was only two steps, and a walk in shower! I can’t wait to return when the weather is nicer so we can see the beach.

What a beautiful home, very clean, well laid out and plenty of room for all of us to stay and relax for a long weekend to attend our daughters wedding. Host was VERY responsive and very friendly. Could not have asked for a better place to stay during this wonderful event. Loved seeing the rabbits playing in the yard at night and the chipmunks playing on the patio every morning.

This house was amazing! Beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood quiet for peaceful nights sleep. It was a great place to gather and make memories. Loved the large couches on both levels. The kitchen being open to the living room area was so nice to have everyone still all together and chatting while also preparing meals. It was very close to town with nice variety of restaurants to choose from. It was also great having three full bathrooms. The house was very clean and provided all we needed for weekend getaway. Three retired old guys stayed here for a week's long steelhead fishing trip. The house was roomy and comfortable. Amenities were all good for our purposes. Patty, the host answered her phone each of the four times I called her with questions and provided the answers making our stay go uneventful.
