This place is wonderful! The minute we walked in the door we felt right at home. We stayed during February and took advantage of the snowy conditions in the area. After playing outdoors, we were able to come "home" and get warm and cozy. Joanne has done a beautiful job decorating. It has everything you need for cooking if you prefer that to eating out. It's also close to all the fun activities. We loved it and are hoping to stay again this summer.

Joe’s Cabin was a perfect space for our family! Long driveway was perfect for sledding with our 3 year old, we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere yet so close to the main street in lake placid. Skiing was great and not a far drive from whiteface either. Amazing views out of the living room windows of the mountains in the distance. Snowed every day we were there and there was a snowplow that always made his way down the road and driveway. Joe was a great host and very accommodating. Loved being able to bring our dog with us as well!

Very cute and charming house! Everything was clean and as described. The area is very convenient and it’s easy to get to many different hikes.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location allowing us to be within walking distance of town, but far enough away for privacy and quiet. The house itself is perfect for entertaining and socializing, but also allows for people to spread out and have their own space. Having access to the garage is a huge perk for keeping ski/outdoor gear out of the way.

As last time, we enjoyed our stay there :)

This was our second time staying with Julie. Julie communicates well and the place is cozy and clean. We love the location in Keene and access to Lake Placid and Whiteface! We hope to stay with Julie again!

This chalet is beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, and clean! My family and I had a great time here. There was a lot to do and it was close enough to Lake Placid. Dana was quick to respond to any questions I had and very helpful. Would stay here again.

Michael’s place was perfect for our group of 8. The common space was comfortable and well-furnished. The cold temps did not allow us to enjoy the porch but in the warm weather it must be sublime! We made full use of the well-appointed kitchen. The little butler’s pantry was a great place to store non-perishable items so the kitchen counters remained clear. Each room had either an en suite bathroom or one right next door. Everyone loved the water pressure. We felt like we were away from it all but very accessible to town. Everyone in our group enjoyed their stay.

Had a fantastic time at the Jay house! Was so surprised that the skiing was only 15 minutes from the place, it made it super convenient. There were a lot of great restaurants nearby, and the guidebook left by Nicole was really helpful in finding great places! We also accidentally left an elephant at the house with sentimental value, and Nicole offered to ship it out to us! Above and beyond anything I could have expected, highly recommend.

My group of 8 adults, 1 child & 2 dogs loved our stay! The host was very communicative, the kitchens/bathrooms/bedrooms were clean & stocked, and the views were gorgeous. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. We’re a group of 4 mostly retired couples. Linda’s place was perfect for our needs. We used 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, comfortable communal space, a dining room that accommodated all of us, and a great kitchen with lots of counter space, utensils, serving dishes, etc. The main bedroom upstairs also had an adjoining suite perfect for families with young children. Linda’s instructions were clear and she was very responsive to all messages. Linda had towels for the hot tub which we loved using after a day of outdoor activity. We highly recommend Linda’s place and look forward to returning next year.

Absolutely beautiful home!!! Anything and everything we needed for our stay was available. Hosts were amazing. Provided all necessary instructions in advance and during the stay. Provided local recommendations and activities. We felt at home! It was so peaceful and relaxing and exactly what we wanted!! Truly out of a Hallmark movie. Beyond happy we found this home for our family escape! Short trip to whiteface was definitely a bonus! Hope to go back again in the future.

Beautiful and peaceful place. Lots of room to hang out, inside and outside. It was nice that the kitchen was stocked with plenty of glasses, mugs, dishes, utensils, and things for cooking, as well as some other basics like spices and coffee filters. Tina and Greg were very responsive. Everyone loved it!

Beautiful lake placid home with a perfect location. Great views of Mirror Lake and the Olympic ski jump. Very walkable to all of the shops, restaurants, skating, cross country skiing & the toboggan run. Perfect layout for our large family. Very cozy & comfortable beds. 4 full beautiful squeaky clean bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen. We loved the gas fireplace and enjoyed the hot tub especially with the snow falling around us, gorgeous!! We would love to come back again soon!

We had a great stay! The house is close to both Main St and Whiteface, so it’s perfect for whatever your agenda is. Ann, the host, is very personable and does a thorough walk through of the house upon on your arrival. The host is very communicative and was an ideal host! A previous comment mentioned the hot tub not working during the stay, but it seems to have been fixed and was working perfectly during our stay. One thing to note, the host/permits only allow for four cars in the driveway. There’s an additional spot available at another location close by and after five cars you’re on your own. As a large group, we had to do some shuffling around but in the end it all worked out and didn’t deter from the weekend. I would recommend the house and host!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house, although we didn’t experience much of the lake because we were there for a ski trip to Gore and we got over a foot of snow. We did spend a lot of time in the house. It’s really great — comfortable, clean, modern, well-decorated and -designed, just a terrific vacation home. Location wise, it’s an easy 20-minute ride down a main highway to get to Gore, so no problem there. It’s two minutes to get to a Stewart’s and a couple of restaurants, delis, pubs, pizza. Not a huge selection of choices but enough for a long weekend. Lisa was an excellent host, available throughout our stay for little questions we had. We would love to stay again in the summer to see what it’s like when it’s not covered in snow. The lake is absolutely beautiful. 100% recommend. You’ll have a great time.

The A-frame was absolutely beautiful and 100% worth the visit. Will definitely be coming back! Peaceful home tucked away in the woods. Great location , white face mountain and high falls gorge short distance drive . Perfect wood-stove to relax in-front of. Awesome winter retreat.

our family not only loveed the house as it has been our favorite so far, but we loved how private it was and still close to so many things! Teresa answered any and all questions almost immediately and followed up with individualized tips and recommendations! When I inquired about sleds, she set out what she had so we has instant access and then sent me local sledding and ice skating information. We had a magical Christmas trip thanks to Teresa and her home! Thank you!

Had a great stay, things we loved doing were fishing the lake, camp fires down by the water and just hanging out. Ausable Chasm was an amazing trip during our stay. I would also highly recommend hiking Rattlesnake Mountain, it’s a short approximately 15 minute ride from Petr’s place.
