A perfect stay that exceeded our expectations and was even better than the photos. Angela was responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our Christmas was one to remember. I can’t recommend this house and its surroundings highly enough!

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful inside and the grounds were even better. I booked this for my mum 60th birthday and we all had an incredible time. All rooms were beautiful with a lovely kitchen too, even better the welcome pack they leave you. The wrap around veranda was the highlight for us, we spent most of the days on that with the hot tub, we were lucky enough to have good weather so we could really make the most of it. The fishing lake was lovely my partner fished and enjoyed it. The owner was always happy to answer any questions whenever I needed them. Thankyou so much.

Very clean, bedding and towels smelled great. Hot tub was very relaxing, nice farmland surroundings and would recommend shoes/boots that can withstand the mud!

We stayed in the annex for three weeks, as our son was attending an intensive course of physical therapy at NAPA in Harlow. The property being only on the ground floor was perfect for our son in a wheelchair. There is a step at the front door but we found that this was not at all a problem. Our stay was an extremely comfortable one. It is a beautiful property that is comfortable and well thought out. The annex has both style and substance. It feels like a home. The surrounding farm is beautiful and was a joy to look at. Sally herself is a perfect host - informative, kind and good fun. The only negative from me is that the fridge was too small for our purposes. However, Sally let us kindly use another fridge and I know that she has plans to install a bigger one. All in all, we loved it and we have already booked for later in the year.

What a beautiful little place! We had a lovely time, the area was clean, I had no concerns on arrival. Fresh eggs were left which we did not make use of as we only stayed one night and did not take any food with us such as bread etc to make use of the eggs but it was a nice gesture. Hot tub was lovely! We stayed in it quite late enjoying a drink and just relaxing with the stars/animals in nearby field! The accommodation has two TVs, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, the remote controls both which is useful but slightly annoying when you’re using one and accidentally turn the other on🤣 My only minor grumble was the bed. I’m not one to complain about beds as I could generally sleep on the floor if I had to, but it was SO SOFT. To the point we were rolling into eachother throughout the night in to the middle of the bed. I definitely think a bed frame/mattress upgrade should be considered. Overall well worth the money and we’ll be saving this one to consider returning!

This was a fantastic place to stay for our group of friends and a few children. It was beautiful and peaceful and clean. Charis was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions. The rooms were all lovely and included shampoo, body wash, conditioner. Our kids loved feeding the fish with the fish food left for us. It's also a convenient journey from London. We'd love to stay here again.

Booked a long weekend away with my husband and two girls and had a wonderful time! I would 100% recommend Wakes Hall Lodges; the location is so peaceful (you wouldn’t even realise there are other lodges nearby!) lovely views as well. Check in was so easy and the lodge was spotless on arrival. The hot tub is a great feature and was so nice to relax in. Really spacious inside and comfy beds. I would recommend eating at the nearby Swan pub- food was great! Will definitely be looking to book again!

Peaceful location in a beautiful village, extremely clean, cosy and romantic. Very clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very easy to find and check in,proactive host. Lots of beautiful villages to see close by.I would definitely visit again

Lovely apartment close to public transport restaurants yet quiet. Nice and clean free of clutter. Cute balcony with a nice view. Rosie was a great host who responded well to any queries we had. I would stay here again in the future

This Airbnb was perfect for a few days when had a few things to do around London. It had parking outside for one car. It was private, cozy and warm. I would stay again

We had a lovely mini break at the Old Cafe and Julia and Guy were great hosts, allowing us flexible check in and out times as they didn’t have an immediate follow up booking. The rooms were comfortable and the upstairs living space views and light were a joy. We had everything we needed, although a washing machine would be ideal for a longer stay. There was a problem with the dishwasher and a leak with the roof that Julia communicated clearly before we arrived and offered a discount as a result, and her husband attended the leak (which we noticed barely any evidence of) on the roof the morning we arrived. I would recommend mountain bikes rather than road bikes if you want to cycle. Beach road on approach needs slow and careful driving to navigate. A really lovely spot for birdlife in the salt marshes and we made it to a couple of local beaches with the kids which we enjoyed. Easy drive on to other nice seaside towns like Frinton and Walton too.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Stable. The photos when we booked looked amazing but in reality it was superb. The bed and settee were super comfy and all the TV set up was great. We had amazing weather for April so really enjoyed the little sun trap of a garden. The lights at night were so pretty. Going to get some for home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Little goodies left by Greg were very nice. Our little dog was very well behaved and enjoyed his holiday too. The stable is in good walking distance to everywhere in Southend. We walked miles both ways on the beach. Luckily we came before 1st May because after that till September dogs are not allowed on the beaches. And that would have been a game changer for us. All in all it is a lovely little cottage. Designed beautifully well done.

This is a beautiful house in which you feel instantly at home. Restaurants are within easy walking distance and the surrounding area by the waterfront is lovely. The house has everything we needed and more. The garden enabled us to enjoy the outside in comfort and we were lucky enough to have amazing weather too. The highlight for me was seeing a red squirrel playing in the garden! I had no idea Mersea Island had reintroduced these native species and that they are thriving. What a treat!

What a great Airbnb! I stayed here with my dog for just over 3 weeks as I was working in the area. Dog walking through peaceful fields straight out of the front door - the location is so picturesque and the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely beautiful on our morning and evening walks from the property. Comfy bed, clean property, great facilities eg washer and dryer. Highly recommend and we intend to return later in the year! It couldn’t have been more perfect for our needs, thank you.

Accommodation: The caravan itself was spotless and well-equipped with all the modern amenities one could need. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and appliances, making it easy to prepare meals. The living area was cosy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Bonus did not need to take bed linen as the beds were made up Facilities: The park’s facilities were top-notch. The communal areas were clean and well-maintained, and the on-site shop had everything we needed. The kids loved the playground and the swimming pool, which were both safe and fun.

Jenny, I hope you like my review, we enjoyed our short holiday in your caravan. I think you will need to fix some of the furniture, like the wardrobe door in the double room. Otherwise everything was fine, thanks. Peter

Wendy was so kind waiting for us on our approach,,welcoming , helpful and very informative, the annex was cosy, comfy, homely and just what we both needed, plus she popped over some fresh milk as I’d forgetten to being some , we will return thank you so much

The place was well furnished, and comfortable - with everything you would need for a short stay. It does get cold during the night, but thankfully Gaynor does provide multiple heaters to use which do heat the property rather quickly.

A fantastic lodge which had everything we needed for our stay and was spotlessly clean. Michelle was lovely and met us on arrival to explain everything. Would highly recommend.

A comfortable barn to stay in with the added benefit of both a pool and tennis court to enjoy during your stay.

we rented both the rose and court barns, absolutely lovely buildings amd having the pool was great, we met Nigel on arrival he was friendly and polite,he walked us through the barns and showed us how everything worked, all in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back for a return visit.
