Amy was a wonderful host, providing super-prompt responses and proactively sharing tips and helpful information. The house is beautiful and in a great location, close to both Eureka and Arcata—as well as great hiking. The house was a perfect “home base” while visiting family for the thanksgiving holiday. While we didn’t have children with us, this would be a great home for kids too—lots of toys, games, and great communal areas. We would love to come back again! Thanks again!

I booked this place as a surprise to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We loved our stay so much. The little cottage is so cute and the sheep were fun to go out and watch in the mornings. The hot tub was definitely our favorite thing about our stay! Being out there at night with the stars and cute backyard set up was amazing. The view from the kitchen was insane! Since we were so close we decided to drive up to Oregon and visit the coast. On our way down we stopped by the Trees of Mystery which was so fun! We made s’mores and enjoyed the fire pit as well. Thank you for letting us stay, we’ll miss it very much.

An amazing place with an amazing host. Felt like our own private paradise on the coast with sea lions barking on Christmas morning and amazing star gazing from the hot tub. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This house is well worth its price. The location is amazing it’s a quick drive to so many beautiful things. Erik is extremely responsive and provides amazing recommendations. The bed quality felt perfect.

When my family and I got to the place, it was very warm- Lala made sure the place was warm and cozy before we got there. The place was very neat and clean 🧼. I loved how responsive the host was and very friendly. Would definitely come back.

We reserved this place for our daughter & son-in-law & from everything they said, it was delightful. They mentioned it was a cute, clean place & appreciated the various teas & coffees & especially the thoughtful gift baskets!

Amber was very nice, responsive, accommodating to our needs. The house is beautiful and there were lots of thoughtful touches. The beds were very comfortable for us and we all had great sleep. The area is peaceful. Definitely recommend!

We try to visit the north coast once a year, and we only stay at Denise's. This home is beautiful, comfy, and now feels like our very own vacation home because we've stayed here many times. Centrally located to all that we like to do - Lost Coast, Fern Canyon, Trinidad, Arcata, Old Town Eureka, Petrolia, etc. So nice to be able to prepare our meals in a clean kitchen with everything we need. Beautiful walk into Ferndale and the fun shops, and the neighborhood is fun to walk around and look at all of the old homes and beautiful architecture. We didn't have our little dogs this time, but we have in the past, and the yard is great - fenced and very safe for lots of romping. Cannot recommend this home any higher - it's the best, and Denise is very warm - feels like I've known her for years.

Beautiful, peaceful, and very private. Easy check in and out. Lovely, stocked kitchen and modern bathroom. I did hear Daniela practice her piano 2-3 times in the unit above me, which she had told me about. Her playing is amazing, and was a welcome sound. My only criticism is not with Daniela’s place at all, but with the neighborhood. The area doesn’t have any street lights, and it makes it very difficult to see.

This little “micro-apartment” had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Excellent location, close to the Plaza. Amber, our host had excellent recommendations for restaurants, even left a discount card to use at many businesses which we were able to take advantage of.

I had a great Airbnb experience! Many Airbnb rentals don't have the touches necessary for me to feel at home: throw rugs, sufficient lighting (lamps -- no only spot lights), and a kitchen table that isn't counter height. All were present in Katie's rental and much appreciated! Not to mention an abundance of food staples available for if you didn't make it to the grocery store upon checkin, and a home made coffee cake to boot! And fizzy drinks! My stay required me to be at home to do some work and I was quite comfortable at the provided desk and office chair and slept like a baby in the great obviously new bed. I woke up to the sun streaming through the redwoods. Great central location while being out of the frey. Perfect!

Clean, peaceful, enjoyable getaway. We were greeted by the household dogs, Lucy and Ollie, who made our wonderful stay even better. The dogs were so sweet and friendly. We felt safe staying here and hosts were helpful and responsive.

This trip to McKinleyville was a "girls trip" and Jennifer's place was PERFECT for our needs. Being two 50 year old females, connecting after many years, our goal was to hang out, watch TV, see the beaches and have a nice meal somewhere. Parking was easy, finding the place was easy. The pub food was good, the bartender we had (Talia) was awesome, and we had a great night. If you want a "Las Vegas" type of trip, this is not for you. My bestie, brought her tiny dog and we we went to Clam Beach and Moon Rock beach and it was so tranquil. If you plan to cook, bring spices, and all the foods you want to eat/cook including sharp knives, can opener and other essentials, pots and pans are provided. We cooked most of the trip and it worked out great. Safeway and Grocery Outlet is right there in town.

We were visiting Cal Poly Humboldt and this place was perfect- walkable to campus, to restaurants and other businesses in town, and to the beautiful community forest. Street parking was easy and we enjoyed eating at the little patio table outside the door- lots of beautiful flowers in the neighborhood in February. We had everything we needed in the house plus fresh fruit and flowers!

I will stay here again. Very convenient, quiet, clean, good value, and responsive hosts. I stayed for 8 nights in January, so I have a good feel for the place. The bed, sofa, kitchen appliances, and bathroom fixtures are all pretty new and in very good condition. Communications were very good. I recommend this place.

Wow! Every time I come to see my family in Humboldt from now on, I plan to stay here. Close to convenience in both Arcata and Mckinlyville, but so peaceful, vast, and beautiful that it was truly a retreat. It is a great launching point for those looking to adventure in Humboldt. Cozy, cute, thoughtful, clean, such a gorgeous setting. I could have stayed weeks. Looking forward to getting to enjoy the space again! Have already recommended to others. Was also ideal for having a pup- I was able to tire him out with walks and fetch before visiting family. Really made my trip all the more lovely. Thank you for sharing this space!!!

This place is truly a hidden gem. The property is magical, set amidst a beautiful forest and lush vegetation. Monica and Keith were wonderful hosts, and I highly recommend this location to anyone thinking of staying in Eureka. You will not be disappointed by the house, its amenities, or the surrounding property. I would rate this place a perfect 10 out of 10

Such a cute and cozy place. One of the only cabins we have found in Trinidad with an ocean view! We opened the bedroom window and got to hear the sea lions every morning. The hosts were friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The fire ring and spa were nice added touches. We can’t wait to come back!

What a beautiful private chalet style home, atop a private hill overlooking a serene meadow surrounded by oak and redwood forest. With a hot tub in the center of the meadow. Cozy home, propane fireplace, bbq and patio, 10/10 location and amenities. Thank you for allowing me to stay here!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for my birthday weekend, and it was amazing! The cottage is so cute and the perfect size, and you have these giant Redwood trees right behind you. The hot tub was so relaxing and you can look up to see more trees. There are some trails really close too, and only 15 minutes from a cute downtown area. The host was very responsive and friendly, I would definitely recommend staying here!

Quaint, relaxing, with green and luscious surroundings as soon as you step out of the door. The host has done a wonderful job making sure that this little cabin in the woods is private, quiet, clean and comfortable with all of the amenities of home. Absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be back!!!

I had a wonderful stay in the River Otter Suite. It was the cutest place, and had everything I needed including a fully appointed kitchen. It was super clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great location for me - right across from Sue Meg State Park and about 30 minutes south of Prairie Creek State Park. Marke was a great host - very helpful and responded promptly to my texts. I hope to be back soon!

Place is alright, close to a lot of stuff tho. Had a great mini trip!
