Fantastic place, clean and cozy. My daughter loved the dock and that there was a fishing pole for her to fish with.

Great place to stay. We had lots of fun using the kayaks and paddle boards. The view of the river is awesome and relaxing while watching all the people tubing, kayaking, and boating up and down. The fire pit was great to make a fire at night. The kitchen had everything we needed and the entire home was very clean. The loft area stayed a little warm so my kids did not want to sleep up there. We had clean music playing on the dock, which people on the river seemed to enjoy too, but the neighbor gave us a dirty look and gesture - no issues otherwise. Overall a great place to spend a few days.

We loved sitting on the screened porch morning and night. Very peaceful. Very comfortable for family. Good communication during stay. Heat and AC worked well. Very convenient location to Inverness. We arrived at night it was a little tricky to find but that's what made it so private. Maybe a blue reflector on the mailbox would help! Rowboat, kayacks, canoes, horseshoes, fishing gear, plenty of games for adults and children. A great time.

From morning coffee on the porch to evenings by the water, every moment was peaceful and easy. A perfect getaway with beautiful views, great hospitality, and all the comforts you could ask for. Can’t wait to come back! Don't miss the bonus AC'd bathroom on the porch! We almost did.

Peter was a great host! We really enjoyed our stay, using the boats/kayaks, and enjoying the peace and nature in this private location!

This was our second time staying at The Acorn. The house was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed...toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, coffee and tea supplies...so pleased that we didn't need to run to the store to get any of these items! Dan and Michelle are very quick to respond if we ever need anything. Had some issues with the internet and it was taken care of in a very timely manner. We love relaxing in the back yard and enjoying all of the wild life. The alligators won't bother you if you don't bother them! I absolutely recommend Dan and Michelle's beautifully decorated home to anyone who would like a relaxing, clean, and comfortable place to spend their vacation!

Such a peaceful and nice place to go for vacation. The house and property is absolutely beautiful. The only issue you could possibly have at this place is rude neighbors to the right that seem to watch you constantly but that comes with renting places with neighbors close by. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to visit here again.

The hosts are very attentive and think of every detail to make it easier and ensure you have a great experience. ☺️ We loved being able to use the kayaks, so much fun. The lake has a beautiful view and an incredible sunset. It's a great place to relax and unwind.

Wonderful clean modern condo apartment near Orlando. This served as our base for a golf trip to play courses in Orlando and Daytona Beach. Had to do some driving to get back and forth to the courses, but staying here was well worth it. Clean quiet home with everything you need. Close to shopping and plenty of restaurants. The host provided all the instructions, information, and supplies we needed for a stress free vacation.

So cozy and very large space! Super convenient, host was extremely kind! Definitely recommend!

Jodi was always very responsive. We ended up having to do a late check in, and Jodi was very responsive. I was grateful that he allowed us to bring our dog to his home. The backyard is simply amazing. If you can, let him know in advanced the time of your check in and tell him about your A/C temperature preference, as the control is in his home. Even when we checked in late, he was attentive and accommodating in regards to this too.

What a great gem! Love the location, the BEST possible area to be! The cottage is simplistic decorated, free of clutter and you feel right at home walking in! Will definitely be back at stay here! This was a great find! Clean and looked just like the pictures. Quiet and comfortable!

We were in a mandatory evacuation zone due to flooding and we’re going to be without water for a week. This caused us to leave our home abruptly late at night with little notice. William allowed us to check in early, and provided a pack & play for my little one to sleep in. We were able to bring our dog. The scenery was beautiful, the house was so cute, we never heard the guests or neighbors. Very close driving to Disney, and under an hour to several beaches. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

We needed a place to stay last minute and this place was perfect and exactly as described, quiet and a wonderful stay! Garry was very communicative and though we didn’t have any problems, Garry offered his help if we needed it. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful venue for my intimate wedding elopement. Alisha allowing me to take photos with the horses was a magical addition to my perfect big day. Lovely place to stay as always.

My stay was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, cozy, and everything I hoped for. The private lake was incredibly relaxing, perfect for unwinding and taking in nature. The cottage itself was amazing—well-kept, charming, and had such a welcoming, at-home feel. It was the perfect escape.

From when we got there to when we left, Jerome was nothing but kind and was incredibly responsive to anything we may need! Would recommend to anyone in the area!

We stayed here with 10 women on a lady retreat it was perfect - all the amenities you could need and more with the kayaks and St John’s River and many springs nearby. Would definitely stay again!

We loved staying at the Blue Bee Cottage. It was cozy and comfortable. Each room was detailed perfectly. The neighborhood is very quiet and the cottage is within walkable distance to town or on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays you can walk one block and use the Freebie ride. The cottage has a wonderful comfortable king size bed and the driveway was a plus to park our corvette. We definitely would stay again if we ever visit Mt. Dora again.

We had a wonderful and comfortable visit to the 1930s cottage in Mount Dora. Everything was as described. Our favorite part was the screened patio in the backyard where we started our days with coffee while watching the birds and our dog play in the fenced backyard. We hope to return for another visit!

This is the cutest little spot! Hosts certainly put a lot of thought into preparing for anything that you may need while here. I just wish I could have stayed longer to spend more time on those porches! The little restaurant next door served some fantastic food and great service too but they close early most nights so plan accordingly. We were in town visiting our college kid so we'll try and stay here again next time.
