Gorgeous spacious house, complete with a beautiful spa! Perfect for a family or large group looking to explore the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. We even caught the Northern Lights from the hot tub and spa! Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

What an experience with weather that brought blowing snow and wind gusts to add to the challenge of a visit in Winter!! Einar and Oli kept in touch and gave us great advice about navigating the conditions, plus we saw the Northern Lights! The cabin was perfect, really well equipped, with extras like spices and cooking oil. The things you don’t think to buy for a two night stay. It was warm, clean, charming and incredibly comfortable. The view and snowscape scenery was spectacular and we were well looked after on the way out too, clearing snow for us to drive safely on to the next destination.

My family of five (two adults, three teenagers) just got home from a week long Iceland road trip and spent three nights at Heidrun's home right at the entrance to the Snaefellsness Peninsula. We loved her home so much - it was exactly as described and we were able to rest and spread out after spending many nights in hotels and hours in the car. The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable (we slept SO well), the kitchen was perfectly equipped for me to make home-cooked meals, and the hot tub was a dream. We had a lot of cloudy and snowy days so we did not see the northern nights on our trip but if you had a clear night - this would the PERFECT place to experience them as the home is very private. We felt like we were in our own little world. We also loved the proximity to the Snaefellsness Peninsula - it made for a very easy 1/2 day trip for us. When we return to Iceland, I would 100% stay here again and I will recommend it to friends who are visiting. Thank you!!!

Beautiful location and accommodation, decorated amazingly. Only thing to point out would be get your supplies well before you get to the location as no shops or restaurants nearby and even the ones local were not open as per the google search. Would definitely stay again

A beautiful house with everything you need and wonderful surroundings. Snaefellsnes is the place to live if you want a nature experience and many places to drive to.

2 nuits au calme dans une petite maison de famille pleine de charme. Seul le bruit des moutons vient rompre le silence. La maison de Sigriður est chargée de souvenirs de familles, photos, objets désuets, déco vintage et c’est ce qui la rend si cosy. Déconnexion assurée Attention pour les personnes désireuses de modernité il n’y a pas de wifi, pas de lave vaisselle, pas de Micro-ondes, pas de Télé. Tout est simple mais propre. La vue du séjour est incroyable Bref un joli point de chute pour rayonner dans la péninsule qui finit notre roadtrip islandais en beauté !

This place is nestled in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, making it a perfect retreat. The on-site restaurant is open until 10 PM, and the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also excellent. After a long day of hiking and driving, the outdoor bath and sauna were a big plus. The rooms, kitchen, and bedroom were spotless and clean, contributing to a very comfortable stay

We stayed in Kjartans appartment for 2N in March with our child….very proximate location to visit the peninsula…backyard was good for kids to play and see Icelandic horses.. we were lucky to witness the northern lights from the unit..overall would recommend for small family
