The guest house is as described and is located in a great location to explore the north of Iceland. Having stayed 3-nights, coming back to relax in the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Steini and Gunna were fantastic hosts who welcomed us when we had arrived and made us feel at home. I highly recommend this place!

Un cottage magnifique. Idéal pour relaxer dans la nature. Baldur a été un hôte exceptionnel. Le grille-pain a brisé et Baldur en a immédiatement livré un nouveau au cottage. Je recommande chaleureusement Baldur.

Easily one of the top 3 Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. The location provides a breathtaking view of the valley, and dark skies provided spectacular auroras at night. The hot tub was a fantastic way to sit outside for hours despite the cold and watch the dancing lights in the sky. Meanwhile, the beds and couches were all very comfortable, the appliances and kitchen all functional and clean. I could honestly stay here for ever, and will certainly try my absolute best to come back.

Our stay at Ólafía’s could not have been more perfect! Ólafia was kind and welcoming and made us feel at home from the second we stepped on the property. From the fireplace running upon our arrival to help warm us up from our travels to the tour of her farm and fresh eggs in the fridge, Ólifía made sure every part of our stay was memorable. The location of the Airbnb was fantastic. It is a quick drive to Akureyri to grab anything needed, has gorgeous views surrounding the property, and is close to Route 1 (Ring Road). We got to wake up every morning to incredible mountain views and greetings from her pups and close out the evening with visiting the horses and relaxing in the hot tub. Getting to stay at Ólafía’s farm was an absolute dream, and we cannot wait to be back next year!

The view from this house is everything! This little house is separated from the rest of the town, so you really get a feeling of isolation! It also helps that we got to see the northern lights. Just wow! Spacey enough for 6 adults!

Wij hebben een hele fijne vakantie gehad mede dankzij deze mooie accommodatie. Het is een beetje afgelegen t.o.v. Akureyri; wat ook duidelijk op de kaart te zien is. Maar met een huurauto ben je binnen 10 minuten in het centrum én kun je alle kanten op. Wij zouden deze fijne plek zeker aanraden aan anderen!

Schöne und urig gemütlich Hütte. Toller Whirlpool auf der Sonnenterrasse. Badezimmer ist außerhalb, kurzer Weg über die Sonnenterrasse. War für uns aber kein Problem. Das Badezimmer ist schön geräumig. Ein Grill ist auch vorhanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Hosts waren jederzeit super erreichbar.

Beautiful chalet, with cosy furnishings. Very well equipped kitchen as well. Place is exactly like the photos, with a hot tub that overlooked a great mountain view. The platform around the chalet was perfect to hang around, set up a tripod and watch the northern lights dance across the skies. Our family of 5 loved this place very much.
