We booked Maddy‘s place very last minute. She was very amicable and got the place ready quickly for us! The upstairs mezzanine was perfect t for ours kids. Maddy and her family were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again if we’re passing through. The house was perfect for two adults three children and a dog. Our children are aged 8, 10 and 12 and we enjoyed cycling out to the local town and playing by the swimming pool. The kids loved feeding the goat, there were chickens too. They loved the owners dog too! We visited Royan, it’s approx 30 minutes drive. I would throughly recommend this place!

Louise et Mickael nous ont très bien accueillis, avec en plus une bouteille de vin blanc et des bières au frais ! Très appréciable ! Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances agréable au Moulin Chaillou. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine, que les enfants ont adorée (4 ans et 1 an). Tous les commerces sont à proximité, la plage est à 45 minutes, ainsi que l'aquarium, etc. Si besoin, n'hésitez pas, Louise et Mickael sont là pour répondre à vos besoins.

Almost don’t want to say how lovely, as will make it more competitive to book to go back! In a word - glorious! - The gite, gardens and grounds and pool are kept beautifully. Gite was spotless and very well equipped (including lots of goodies on arrival, garden games to use there - kids were very happy - charcoal ready for the bbq etc), huge comfortable beds, and wood fired hot tub to sit and look at the stars. - Stunning surrounding views (endless fields of sunflowers) and lovely shady woods to be walk. - Lots of pretty villages - particularly Aubeterre with its central square and river beach worth the short drive (under 20 mins). We also loved the big river beach at St Aulaye (c.40 mins). - Meg and Mark are kind, fun and knowledgeable hosts who were perfect balance of around and incredibly helpful - but very much left us to just relax and enjoy the gite/pool as our own. - Shopping v easy at local supermarkets, various markets and nearby village shop/butchers. Thank you!!

Notre séjour c'est très bien passé dans cette jolie maison bien équipée. Les hôtes sont très arrangeants et flexibles. En été, avec le jacuzzi, la piscine, la cuisine d'été et la grande terrasse cela doit être superbe ! Le seule petit hic s'il doit y en avoir un est la localisation avec un logement qui n'est pas simple à trouver, en grande partie à cause de Waze qui nous envoie dans un chemin assez loin derrière la maison. La voiture est nécessaire pour ce logement. Merci pour cet agréable séjour entre amis :)

La maison de Robert est parfaite pour un anniversaire avec une quinzaine de personnes. Mention spéciale pour la terrasse et la vue, ainsi que la « salle de bal » ! Dommage que le jacuzzi ait décidé d’être capricieux

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce mobil-home agréable et bien équipé. Nous avons aimé sa localisation et son environnement végétalisé. Le spa a été très apprécié de tous en cette mi-saison. Les draps et serviettes sont fournis ce qui est appréciable à l'arrivée. Le camping dispose des infrastructures nécessaires pour passer un bon séjour (centre aquatique intérieur/extérieur, aires de jeux, animations, location de vélo, bar/restaurant, supérette, ...) Le centre-ville est facilement accessible à vélo. Nous avons trouvé tout ce dont nous avions besoin au marché. Nous avons un peu moins aimé les oreillers trop plats à notre goût, sinon le reste était top! Je recommande le logement de Marine.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette belle demeure, joliment décorée avec vue directe sur la Dordogne. L’endroit est calme et paisible et l’emplacement idéal pour visiter les villes et les vignobles environnants. À recommander vivement à tous les amoureux de la nature et aux amateurs de bons vins. De plus, les échanges avec Pimprenelle ont été réactifs et cordiaux. Nous aimerions bien y retourner !

L’appartement est fidèle à la description et très propre. Très bien équipé. La communication avec l’hôte était parfaite. Tout était fidèle ! Je recommande.

Un hôte disponible et vraiment très à l'écoute. Beaucoup de recommandations sur les activités à ne pas rater et des partenariats locaux qui nous ont permis d'avoir des réductions (location de vélos par exemple...). Merci à Romain pour sa gentillesse !

Super week-end chez Fanny et Nicolas. La maison est géniale et si paisible qu’on aimerait y rester quelques semaines histoire de se ressourcer. Plein d’activités disponibles, un immense terrain avec de beaux animaux autour. Bref juste parfait. Sinon les hôtes sont super réactifs, la maison est propre et très fonctionnelle. Rien à dire nous y retournerons

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable à l’occasion de cousinades dans ce gîte très agréable, parfaitement adapté pour un groupe de 15 personnes. La maison est d’une propreté irréprochable, très confortable, et idéalement située dans un cadre paisible au bord de la rivière. La cheminée, avec les bûches fournies, a ajouté une belle ambiance à nos soirées. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée, ce qui a rendu les repas en groupe très simples à organiser. Yohann, notre hôte, a été remarquable : attentionné, disponible et toujours soucieux de répondre à nos envies. Il nous a conseillé une agreable randonnée se terminant par des tapas dans une cave à proximité de la maison. Merci à Yohann pour son accueil chaleureux. Nous recommandons ce gîte les yeux fermés et reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Très bon séjour chez Sébastien et Agnès. Le logement correspond totalement à sa description, il est fonctionnel et dispose de tous le nécessaire. Sébastien est réactif et donne de nombreux conseils sur les bonnes adresses locales.

The host is super friendly, and very quick in responding. She described everything in perfect detail, so we were able to find the place easily (even though we arrived in the dark). Everything at the house was ready and clean, and we enjoyed our quiet time here even though it was for just two days. The place is close to the lake and the walk in the woods is very beautiful. Carole also gave useful tips about where to walk! Overall we really enjoyed our stay & especially how easy it was for us to get there. We traveled with two dogs and two kids, there were lots of fun toys and games for the children and the nature and little beach were perfect for the dogs. Thanks again, Carole!

We all had a fantastic week at Le Pible. There are so many things we could say about this beautiful place - the setting was amazing at all times of the day and we loved watching the deer and horses roaming across the fields. The cottage and gite were both well equipped and comfortable and the beautifully presented gite gave us extra space which was much appreciated. On arrival there was a packed welcome tray which was both thoughtful and enjoyed during the week. Without a doubt, the swimming pool was a favourite for us all especially as the week we were staying there was a very hot week. It was immaculately clean and we loved the salt water. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and replied to any questions extremely promptly. We unreservedly recommend Le Pible as a fabulous holiday home and have made many happy memories by staying there.

We stayed at Mary and John’s cottage to attend a wedding at Chateau Soulac. It was perfect and we felt very lucky. Only 5mins drive from the wedding venue, it was ideal. The cottage is rustic and charming and very comfortable. We were there during warm days but cold nights and the heating was great - our six month old slept well. Mary and John were very welcoming and on hand for any queries. The cottage is kitted out with all the cooking and dining implements needed and all other amenities listed are as promised. The location is simply heaven - beautiful view of the Dordogne, with trees bordering a courtyard where you can watch red squirrels and enjoy the sunrise/sunset. We had a lovely long weekend and highly recommend.

wij hebben genoten van de stilte, ruimte en rust maar juist ook van de bedrijvigheid in het sluisje. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, dus ook op een koudere regenachtige dag, waar we er maar 2 van hadden in 18 dagen tijd, voorziet het huis in behoefte. De nieuwe airco op de slaapkamer is een genot op zeer warme dagen. Opvallend was dat er zeer weinig muggen waren, ondanks de waterrijke omgeving. Er was niets dat ons tegenviel.

Endroit charmant, reposant, à la campagne mais à deux pas de la ville. Sylvie et Luc sont très accueillants et au petits soins. Merci et à bientôt 👋

We had a lovely 6 days staying here. Two families, each with two children. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Two doubles and two twins. One double is downstairs and the other is upstairs but up a separate staircase, so separated from the others. We loved the outdoor spaces, especially the front courtyard (and the table tennis). The kids loved the pool and the trampoline and Anna’s very sweet and friendly dog. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and grounds. Lots of spots to eat and sit. Very nice pool area and the pool was refreshing on hot days. There were a few issues with the showers, but Anna was very quick to respond and help sort things out and it didn’t impact on our enjoyment of the house. Overall, we loved it here and would happily return (for longer, hopefully) in the future.
