This place is a gem! If you read her listing it is just as described. My son and I stopped on our way through and I wish we would have had more time. It is such a cute place and has an amazing bathroom and the bed is awesome. If I ever get another chance to go back through Fairbanks I will definitely try and stay here again :)

We stayed at Tera’s place for our daughter’s hockey tournament with my sister-in-law and niece. It was a great space for our two families. The kids had their own space and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee and snacks. Having the garage in March was great. Tera was extremely responsive. We will stay there again on our next trip to Fairbanks.

Spacious aviation-themed rooms sitting right on top of a hanger. Cool to see planes parked and getting repaired in the hanger from the window in the laundry room. Far enough from lights of downtown Fairbanks to see aurora right from the balcony.

Great stay! Located on the eastern side of Fairbanks, it was only about a 10 minute drive to the airport. There was a miscommunication with the garage code key, but the host was very responsive and helpful. Every morning provided a beautiful and scenic view over the river. Some mornings we enjoyed this view from the hot tub. The upstairs bedroom is very nice and spacious. The downstairs bedrooms were simple and sufficient enough to accommodate four of us. The downstairs bathroom is a bit small to share but we made it work. The living room provided a comfy and spacious environment for the whole group to relax in.

The yurt was amazing! So cozy and clean and had awesome views! Colleen was incredibly responsive and even alerted me when the Northern Lights were expected to appear! The description of the yurt is incredibly accurate and the directions to the address were clear. The location is great for aurora viewing and for getting to some of the recommended viewing sites. It was so cool to stay in a yurt and I would highly recommend Colleen's place to anyone visiting the Fairbanks area.

We loved Colleen’s yurts and really appreciate all that she does to keep them in great condition for guests. The view to the mountains was clear our first night. It was a bit cloudier the second night, but we still had a great time cozy inside. The drive up is definitely challenging in the winter, so if you can minimize that you’ll likely have a better stay.

Mari was very helpful and attentive during the booking process as well as during the stay. Her place is so quaint and beautiful and if you are looking for a piece of paradise with a true Alaskan feel then this is the home for you. Conveniently located to many winter activities and beautiful places !!

Our second time staying in the river suite. It feels just right for a vacation rental, not too big, not too small. Really love the heated garage.

We are repeat customers. This is a wonderful home in an ideal location in Fairbanks. The host shares her home with guests; she is flexible and easy to get along with. While the location is very close to the University with easy access to downtown, the property is in a fabled Fairbanks historic neighborhood that is a quiet and private retreat from the city. Set in a large birch stand, it has views of town below and on a clear day, the whole breadth of the Alaska Range. We had a wonderful extended late March stay.

Just minutes out of town and a world away. Even better than depicted - hard to describe how nice the place, space and geography is! We loved our stay!

A very cozy and tidy home, along with a kind and patient host, gave me wonderful memories in Fairbanks. If I ever have the chance to visit Fairbanks again, Dan’s home will definitely be my first choice.

Had an amazing stay. Bob went up and behind for us during our visit. He was very kind and helpful. His responses where fast and her catered to our needs. He was also able to recommend plenty of great activities as well as have great knowledge of the area. Would highly recommend booking with Bob. Will definitely be visiting again.

My stay at Pam's was excellent, she was so kind and welcoming and made me feel right at home (especially as a younger solo traveler). She was able to pick me up from the airport, and was kind enough to stop by a grocery store on the way to her house so I could get food for my stay (though she also has things to share in her house as well)! Pam was so generous and had great recommendations for places to go/what tours are worthwhile. She also has an immense amount of knowledge about the history of Alaska, especially land conservation and the protection of the Arctic Refuge. It was amazing to hear her stories and learn more about the place I was visiting, it enriched my stay greatly. She was also kind enough to lend me some warmer socks and mittens! Pam is an amazing host and I loved being able to share her cozy cabin for a week!
