Wow! Pictures do not do it justice. The place is brand new. They have everything you could want including bathroom supplies cooking basics fire wood paper goods. This place was simply amazing. I mentioned cooking a turkey and not only did they make sure a roasting pan was there but also supplied disposable ones. The place looks professionally decorated. They had directions for everything. The small touches were fantastic. They even supplied cotton pads for your face. The layout is fantastic. The views of the lake were beautiful. We were all sad to leave. As great as it was in the winter I want to come back in the summer. There’s a bar across the water that you could just take a raft over to!

This is a super nice and intentionally designed space, great for 2 couples (and our preschooler) about 20-30 mins from most of the Hocking Hills attractions. We had such a great weekend and the host was so communicative, helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for LL 2024 and would do it again. It was a 7 minute ride to and from aside from getting there unless you left after 2-3pm. It was the perfect place to have AC, stay in from the rain, have a bed to sleep in and full kitchen/refrigerator to not pay festival food prices for every meal. Scott was and continues to be the best, nicest and most responsive host I’ve ever encountered. He treated us like family allowing us to check in early, check out late, etc.. He responded through the app as fast as if I was texting his personal cell. One of us left an item at the home and he sent it back right away. I plan on trying to book this anytime I come back for LL or come back to the area. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and everything was as advertised. We wish we could have used the boat slip/dock and fire pit but didn’t have the time.

We enjoyed this home. I loved their heating system. It kept us very warm. The bed was comfy. This is a canal view. We were glad to see some water. The hot tub swim spa was amazing! This was our first time seeing one. In the summer it would be even more enjoyable leaving the doors open. Yes it was fully enclosed .

Fully enjoyed the experience we had here! Mike was quick to respond, the house was cozy, and a convenient location in Buckeye Lake. Most definitely would stay here again!

The house was great, only downfall for our stay was that it ended up snowing and being too cold to enjoy anything outdoors or the game room because it didn’t get warm enough in there. But overall it was a great house and I could definitely see myself coming back during the summer

The Nest was exactly what we needed after a long day of walking around Chillicothe for the 2025 Chocolate Walk! Easy to find, clean, well decorated and charming. The location was also an easy short walk to great restaurants and entertainment! Will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in town. Thank you, Renee! :)

Nice place, clean, lots of things to do around the area. Enjoyed our stay and all the snacks and essentials laid out for us.

Super clean, and as described. Felt right at home, modern, functional and cozy. Had plenty of space for my family of 5 that included a 2 year old, and twin 4 month olds. WiFi was great to get work done especially in neat little office nook. We booked as a last minute holiday stay but would definitely return and look to stay here during the summer months to enjoy the lake and the local restaurants there.

This cabin is a gem! It was very clean and cozy. The hot tub was perfect! it was super quiet and the owner was extremely responsive.

Great place to stay at Buckeye Lake. Easy and close access to the path that goes around the lake. Spacious living room for 4 and nice large dining table for meals. Dog friendly as well! Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway here. Everything was clean and I was impressed that the kitchen was very well stocked. The hot water flowed great so the showers were glorious. The only thing that I noticed was the bed seemed to be a little wobbly.

Despite dozens (hundreds?) of other options in the area, we’ll never look to stay anywhere else besides the Cottage. That’s about the highest praise I can give a vacation rental. We needed a weekend getaway with our twin 5 year olds, and this couldn’t have been a better choice. Peaceful, relaxing, and private, but with delicious wine, the kindest people, sheep, Alexander the dog, and blueberry banana bread. Margit was kind, helpful, and responsive, and Mark was so considerate to our whole family. The Cottage itself is kid friendly, and has everything you need and none of the rental fluff that you don’t. Simple is so much harder than complex, since simplicity requires choices. The house is perfectly simple, tasteful, and just the right size. I almost don’t want to be too effusive in my praise because I want to be able to book it again. If you want to be in the US but feel like you’re somewhere else, book it. We can’t wait to go back.

We stayed here for one night just for a getaway and it was so cozy! The hosts are very responsive and kind! The place is decoarated beautifully and super clean! There were lots of little details we thought were nice...real flowers throughout, bathrobes, extra toiletries in the bathroom in case you forgot something. They seemed to think of everything! We can't wait to go back!
