Loved the cute little rustic barn feel. Very quiet away from the city life. David and pat were amazing hosts. Would give them a 10/10 recommendation. Would come here again

This is our second stay at Grant's place and it was everything we were hoping for. The cabin itself is delightful, but the outdoor areas are amazing! Grant and his wife could not be better hosts. I highly recommend this property!

This was an amazing AirBnB for anyone looking for a new, modern and peaceful cabin surrounded by nature, wildlife, and a lake with dock. I stayed for three nights with my dog while at a hunt event. We enjoyed hikes through the woods and he swam in the lake. The cabin itself is new and a fantastic design. Large kitchen with everything needed (toaster, coffee maker, cooking essentials) and great appliances. The master bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed, luxury linens, and a spacious en suite bath. The living area had a giant comfortable sofa and large tv. Even though the location is remote there is good WiFi available. Out the back is a wall of windows with a slider to a large deck with lots of seating and a grill. Loved the deck lighting, view of the stars, lake, and sunrise. The host was easy to communicate with, friendly and helpful and I would love to stay at this AirBnB again.

Plenty of room for the 8 of us. The guys loved sitting on the back porch.

This was an absolutely adorable place to stay. Super comfortable and cozy, with everything you need. We loved it and would definitely stay again!

What a great find , what a great space, what a great town! Haley’s loft was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The view was the historical statehouse , just across the street. And you could imagine Lincoln coming to Vandalia when it was the state capital . There’s a lot to like about this small town and even more to like about the “ Loft in Vandalia” Thanks again Haley

This cabin was a cozy, unique place to add to our trip. The directions seem like a lot, but just put the coordinates he gives you into GPS and it takes you right there. The bathroom is on the back porch, but a full bath and clean. He even had a small heater in there. If you’re like us and prefer to find unique experiences when you travel, this was a great choice. We only stayed one night, but I would’ve been happy to stay a few more. Bill, the host, was super responsive, and getting in and out was seamless.

Thanks again Erin and Steve for a great stay at the lake house can’t wait til we are able to come back. There is literally nothing we don’t love about your place and the lake and Vandalia. You guys are truly first rate Airbnb owners.
