Lovely cottage and patio, convenient location. Very clean and the bed super comfortable.

This was a perfect getaway for me and my teens. They interacted with each other, played in the game room and loved the swim/spa. Short of a miracle to have them not isolating and on electronics.

This two homes are perfect for a family vacation or a retreat. Pool is not fenced in so children will have to be supervised by adult while outside at all times. I and my mom stayed there and it felt like we were in the woods but we were only a few minutes from shopping and church. Very peaceful which I loved. Animals just a few steps away and they were very friendly. The hosts are super stars that are very responsive and respectful. If you are looking for a picture perfect stay this is it.

Great stay. Locked ourselves out once. Host responded fast and everything was great. We were more careful with the lock after that. Would stay in the house again.

We had such a fantastic getaway for the Round Top Antique Show. The house was easy to find and had the most peaceful setting. We enjoyed the propane firepit in the evening to wind down after shopping all day and got to-go pizza from the local restaurant in La Grange. The house itself was stunning and everything was well thought out and ready upon our arrival. it was spotless and welcoming as soon as we arrived. Thank you for a great stay and we look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful stay while shopping at the Spring Round Top show. Highly recommend for a quiet and peaceful stay after busy days of shopping.

This space was exactly what I was looking for, a peaceful retreat in the woods. I had a great home base for adventures and got so much reading done on the comfy deck. Celia was very responsive and s delight to meet. I can't wait to visit again!

We were blessed to attend a wedding in Bastrop which gave me the perfect opportunity to find a unique place to stay. I hit the jackpot with Laughing Pines Lodge in Smithville. From the moment the whimsical gate swung open for us to the fabulous breakfast of farm fresh eggs in the morning, we felt like we had fallen into an enchanted forest. Sandy and Stephen have created such a beautiful retreat among the pine trees. They were incredibly gracious hosts and we wished we could have stayed longer. The location between Bastrop and Smithville was wonderful as both towns have really become great places to visit. Additionally, Laughing Pines Lodge is right next to Buescher State Park which has lots of hiking trails and beautiful scenery. I really felt after the weekend that I had experienced a truly special place.
