Awesome place that literally has everything. Highlights were the sauna, hot spa, pool table and fireplace after snowboarding each day. Super close to The Remarkables and Coronet plus we drove an hour up to Corona and drive was easy. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location, clean and tidy. Lovely and warm on cooler evenings. So handy being 2 minutes walk to the Cadrona pub for dinner.

Lovely place in a beautiful location! House was clean, and perfect for our trip. Scenery is stunning and the hosts were helpful, friendly and quick with communication. The location was a quick 10 minute drive into Queenstown which was easy for us as we had a car, and had no parking issues once we got into Queenstown. Would highly recommend this place!

The views are to die for, such an amazing location, you won't be disappointed at all. house was large enough for 10 of us and we all had our own space without running into each other. Rooms are located using stairs so if you have anyone not able to use stairs maybe contact them and they might be able to work out something for you. nothing seemed a problem at all and very responsive when asked a question. Lovely large house - probably 70s so not super-modern. Bathrooms recently renovated, loved the crisp linen and fresh white towells. Was there with my four adult children (18 to 23). We all loved it as it wasn't "precious" - we all felt right at home very quickly. Kitchen is large with enough appliances to make cooking simple - keeping it tidy was easy because of the space. A bar and dining table so a few options on where to sit. Open fire downstairs most nights. The internet was great - I could work quite happily while the guys went for a ski. Location was better than we realised - half way between Queenstown and Frankton meant we avoided the traffic jams into Queenstown (who would have thought a small country town would have constant traffic jams as skiers return every afternoon!) and could easily shop at Frankton - much cheaper and more choice. Only 10 minutes to the airport and multiple buses run both up and down the lake with a stop just a few metres down the hill.

Arriving at Tess's home was an absolute delight! The property is simply breathtaking with its modern design and stunning views of the hills and river valley below. This charming rural home boasts four bedrooms, a beautiful living room that connects to the fully equipped kitchen stocked with all the essentials you could need. The beds were incredibly comfortable with luxurious linens, making it hard to get up on some mornings with the fresh air flowing through the open sliding door. We had a blast doing yoga on the well-maintained lawn and sipping drinks on bean bags while watching the sunset. Queenstown is a dream destination with so much to offer - from wineries and bike rides in Arrowtown to thrilling activities like jet boating, funyaking, bungy jumping, and zip-lining. The gondola ride and luge were a blast, and the bush walks, especially Bobs Cove, were unforgettable. Not to mention the fantastic dining options, with Amisfield being a standout. Perched up on a hill with great views. Clean and tidy with easy parking. We walked into town a few times, a fair walk but good exercise. House was clean, kitchen great. My whole family now wants to move to Queenstown!

We had an amazing week at Shotover Barn... we were 6 couples there for my 40th birthday and it was perfect. The location is great as its about halfway between Queenstown and Arrowtown (you'll need a rental car). The hosts are awesome, not just in their communication but also with the house - from the furnishings to the indoor plants and the gardens, it makes you feel at home straight away; this isn't just an Airbnb. The large dining table made for a special birthday dinner where all 12 of us could sit around while a private chef used the amazing and very well resourced kitchen. This house nails it when it comes to a large group. I will definitely stay here again and have already told many other friends about it.

This is a superb place to stay, we loved every minute of our 2.5 weeks. The setting is perfect, the hosts are super friendly and helpful. We swam in the lake most days, an easy 10-15 minute walk down (less easy coming back as it’s uphill, but well worth it!) We explored the local walking tracks. And Bella the cat appeared most days, usually early mornings when she would join us in bed! Cannot recommend highly enough☺️

The house was perfect for our needs. The house is split over a few stories so be prepared to use stairs. Comfy beds and great showers. Plenty of heating and cooling in each bedroom, hallway and living area. Grassy hilly area out the back for the children to explore. The section is not fully fenced if that is a requirement but for us it was fine.

We loved our stay! Beautiful surroundings and extremely peaceful. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed to make us feel like we were right at home. Highly recommend!

Our family had an amazing 3 nights at this beautiful home on the outskirts of Queenstown. We loved having a huge garage, amazing views and quick access to all things Queenstown. The photos simply do not do the views justice though as sunrise and sunset left us all awestruck. Thank you for hosting us!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here! Place was exactly what we hoped for! Good walkable distance to town and the lake. Loved having the deck and lawn out the back for a bit more space to relax. The weekend we stayed was incredibly hot so was glad to find out the aircon worked well! Overall our stay was great! The one and only downside (not sure if our fault for not looking hard enough or not) but we were only left with 3 toilet rolls- for a 2 night stay at 7 of us it went pretty quick but luckily one of us had brought some of our own to use.

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tessa's. It was a beautiful home with all the amenities you could want, located in stunning surrounds and very peaceful. It so close to the lake which provided for some lovely early morning walks as well as easy access to the ferry which was a lovely way to get into Queenstown. Tessa was a delightful host and went above and beyond with local recommendations and even helped me locate local business for some special events I wanted to plan for my 50th. It was such a great place my friends are keen to make it an annual trip! Thank you Tessa for helping me make my 50th that bit extra special.
