It was my first time visiting Guatemala and I was blessed to find Jeans place near San Marcos and at first sight the place from the outside doesn’t seem like much but once you make it past the entrance gate it is stunning. The views are amazing from all areas of the property, the house was comfortable and clean, the pool was super fun and it was a stunning view while swimming around. Jean is a very nice host and helped me get from Antigua to her house and was very supportive throughout my stay. It was amazing being able to take a boat right from her home and being able to get dropped off at the property. If I come back to Guatemala I hope that I am able to stay in her place again!

We really enjoyed staying with Augustus! The view is incredibly beautiful and his home has a very neat vibe. The location is just outside the bustle of town to allow for a peaceful get away while still having easy access to everything that is cool to see and do in San Marcos. The most stand-out aspect of our stay was Augustus's excellent communication and availability - he gave awesome local recommendations, very detailed instructions on how to get to his home, and also offered to and heated his sauna for us to try!

This is maybe a little less about House on the Rocks and more about Marlon as a host. We were to stay at this beautiful destination and the morning of our arrival, my father suffered a stroke. Our plans needed to change. Marlon was so kind to offer suggestions and support as we needed to cancel our stay very last minute. Although our reservation was non refundable through AirBnb, Marlon offered to personally reimburse us a portion of the stay. He also offered us another Airbnb closer to the city at no charge. A very stand up and compassionate person. Will definitely look forward to a stay at House on the Rocks on our future trip to Lake Atitlan.

Joshua's home overlooking Lake Atitlan is a great find. Beautiful views, right on (above) the water, easy boat service into town (you can go by road via tuk-tuk but there are many, many steps down to the house), very nicely appointed and equiped, and really nice outdoor space (patio, balconies, jacuzzi, waterfront, etc. We had a lovely stay and definitely plan to come back. Joshua is very responsive and the local caretaker is great and available 24/7 - together they provided great customer service and they offered many good recommendations about local businesses, services, tours, and so on.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Very quiet but only a few minutes from the centre of Antigua with all the restaurants and cafes. Hosts were really communicative and accommodating when our arrival was delayed. A great stay.

This place exceeded our expectations, it was even more beautiful than the photos! The living space is spacious and breathtaking, with a stunning yard that offers an unobstructed view of the volcano. The kitchen was fantastic, and we loved spending our evenings cooking dinner and grilling on the barbecue. Every night, we used the temazcal (like a sauna), which made our stay even more special. Lesley and the groundskeeper were incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel right at home. Lesley also shared local recommendations and kept us informed about daily events in San Marcos. An unforgettable stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful house, and I have to say, Adolfo was an exceptional host. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything was perfect for us. His hospitality was above and beyond, offering helpful recommendations, answering any questions we had, and making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The house itself was gorgeous, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. Adolfo's kindness and attentiveness really made our family’s trip memorable, and we are so grateful for his help. Highly recommend!

Jorge was an amazing host and must try if staying in Lake Atitlan. Ill start off by saying the process was smooth, I was coming in from Panajachel which, Jorge also assisted with the Private boat ride to the private dock right in front of the property which by the way was an amazing experience and view just to get to the property. When pulling up to the dock housekeeper was waiting for us to welcome us and show us the property, house keeper also provided some wood for the fireplace which we used on two separate nights. I felt bad at times because how often I would reach out to Jorge for recommendations and assistance for things that were local, he literally treated our group like a resort concierge but he didn't mind and was very helpful and responsive. Overall the stay was an amazing experience and would definitely go back. Jorge was an amazing house and Thanks again.
