We absolutely loved our stay here! It was a perfect location to the ski hills yet a very quiet setting that we could relax after a day at the slopes. The house was a perfect size and layout for our group, decorated very nicely, and had great amenities; hot tub, sauna, comfortable choices, and a great sized kitchen stocked with all the essentials.

It was the best weekend getaway place, the only regret me and girlfriend had was that we didn’t stay longer. Next time for sure we are going to stay longer because it was a pretty good stay. The cabin was cozy and it was listed as the pictures. The game room and the hot tub were my biggest highlights of the stay as well as the attic room. Definitely will go there again.

Beautifully maintained house with plenty of space. Aaron was an excellent host and was proactive in thinking about what we may need for our week-long stay. The property was lovely and one could see the efforts to maintain the house. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and everything working as expected. Sound did travel well in the house so that is one thing to be aware of.

The photos don’t do this location justice! The accommodations were top notch, and Jeanne makes you feel like family! Worth every penny! Will be back again to show more friends and family this amazing place!

This place is amazing! I stayed for 5 days in March - kind of an in between season - but it was just what I needed. Very peaceful, spectacular sunrises, and I even saw a bald eagle flying really close to the house. This is a beautiful lake home with all kinds of luxuries and a ton of space. I loved the soaking tub and the huge kitchen. I think my favorite thing of all was all the natural light that came in through all of the tall windows. I discovered that Chub Lake Retreat is only 6 miles from Jay Cooke State Park! I drove over there one day and saw the half frozen river and falls. The location of this lake home is ideal for anyone who'd like to explore Jay Cooke or Duluth. Not to mention Chub Lake! The property is large, so the neighbors are not too close. There's a hot tub and fire pit outside too! This is truly a great find. Don't hesitate to book!

The property is as in the photos, very spacious in the inside. Right on the water, only a minute or two from downtown Ely, but worlds away from the City. Nice setting, plenty of room for all in your group. Multiple levels, built to enjoy being on the lake, so many nice touches, and the kitchen is well stocked, with plenty of glasses/plates and everything required to feel at home. Plenty of towels! Hot tub is in a private setting! Second floor is reached by open stairway, includes an open area overlooking first floor, that includes conversation area with futon, and large bedroom with great view of sunrise and attached bathroom with shower and large jetted tub. We were just two, and felt comfortably together, larger groups will not feel crowded, and two cars can park in the garage, and they provide two remote garage door openers, so you do not have to get out of your car to open or close the garage door. Truly is like having your own place in the woods, if you were a millionaire!

It was a wonderful place to stay at for our girls weekend! The property was beautiful, and the hot tub is huge! We didn’t have the best weather so we weren’t able to use the fire pit or walk down to the beach but the sunroom was perfect to relax in. A short drive to Duluth as well! David was so helpful with any questions we had!

We had a great time at this AirBnb!!! So peaceful and quiet, an amazing weekend getaway. We loved looking at the stars and watching the sunrises and sunsets right from the cozy warm cabin, listening to the wood stove crackling. We were very glad we remembered snow shoes, it was quite the hike in! It added to the private atmosphere.

Jeff was very accommodating with any of our needs/requests, and the location was perfect for our trip requirements. The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking you may wish to do during your stay as well, removing the need to go out to eat if you wish to. My familey and I look forward to another stay here everytime we will be visiting in the area in the future!

Great location! We’ve been doing this trip for 5 years and we’re never able to bring our pup who loves the UP and the snow so we really appreciated that we could bring him this weekend. The place was clean and had plenty of space for the 10 adults we had. The kitchen was fully stocked and allowed us to do all the cooking we wanted. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Stevie answered all our questions immediately. We found it easily thanks to the very helpful descriptions. The cabin looked exactly like shown in the pictures. It was extremely peaceful and quiet. We would love to come back one day!

If you want your own forest sanctuary to explore, look no further. This one of a kind getaway will set you up for peace, adventure and relaxation. If you want to stay on the property only; do it, you will have plenty to do. If you want to take a day trip a bit further North, you are only 30 mins from Gooseberry Falls and more! This was a home away from home and will be on our return list in the future!

My husband and I loved our stay! The cabin was so cozy and cute, and was remote enough for us to have some privacy, but also close enough to order food from restaurants or go to the general store if needed. Perfect weekend getaway!

The cabin was cozy and clean. It had kitchen tool essentials (silverware, plates/bowls, salt/pepper/tea, cleaning supplies). The bathroom was clean and a short, pretty walk from the cabin. Nice for a winter getaway in the woods but within a short drive to Washburn or other points on the South Shore.

This was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay. It can get cold at night on the north shore in October, but a nice fire in the fireplace kept the cabin warm. The cabin is right off the road but perfectly secluded and private. There were a lot of nice extras like books, games, etc. I will most likely stay there again in the future. It was perfect!

We loved staying at Samantha's property. Communication was great, the cabin was clean and super cozy and had everything that we needed. This is a little gem up north and we would love to stay here again. The lake is beautiful and the rental comes with kayaks and other water toys. We kayaked to the local restaurant which was easy to get to and a very pretty, short paddle away. We loved sitting by the fire and they had ample firewood provided. Can't say enough about the experience!

We've stayed at Wolf Track Den several times and always enjoy our time there. Comfortable bed and a very well maintained cabin. We feel right at home and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Great little spot for exploring Ely and the boundary waters area. Will definitely stay again! Small, clean and great view of lake vermillion

The cabin was organized and cozy. It had a lot of amenities for such a small place. It was exactly what we needed. The bathroom was clean and very nice if being compared to a "camp" bathroom. We had the added surprise of finding lake jellyfish in Lake Armstrong. The host had never seen them before and it was one of the highlights of our trip. (Per Google they usually only appear in late summer) We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great little cabin for our kid free weekend away! They had everything in the kitchen you could need to cook meals. It’s tucked into the woods so it’s private and it’s just what we were looking for. It was clean and we had a great experience! Derek was quick and responsive when an issue came up.

Kevin's place was perfect in every way! The Homestead cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for us. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family!
