Wonderful Christmas Stay in Säkylä We had a fantastic Christmas in this charming, old-style Finnish home. The house was warm, cozy, and spotless, providing the perfect setting for our family. The owner was incredibly supportive and helpful, especially in teaching us how to use the traditional sauna, as we’re new to Finnish Old Style House. His kindness and support made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking an authentic Finnish experience. Thank you for making our Christmas so special!

Rantatalo oli juuri sopivan kokoinen meidän 8 hlö porukalle, muutama olisi vielä mahtunut mukaan. Sijainti oli helposti saavutettavissa autolla ja ympäristö oli kaunis, metsää ja järveä. Pihalla ja terassilla oli runsaasti istumatilaa ja piha-aktiviteetteja oli myös saatavilla. Olohuoneessa oli suuri näyttö ja koko talossa hyvät äänentoistojärjestelmät. Kokonaisuutena hyvin viehättävä kohde, voin suositella!

Kohteen puitteet ylittävät odotukset ja viihdyimme siellä erittäin hyvin. Erinomainen paikka rentoutua, ulkoilla ja lomailla 😊

Just stayed at this awesome house by the lake and wow, it was amazing! The place was super clean and spacious, plus you can see the lake right from the bedroom. There's a sauna right next to the lake that smells like fresh wood – total relaxation spot. The host was on point too, giving us cool tips on where to hike and eat around there. Highly recommend this spot to anyone. Easily one of the best places I've ever crashed at!

Saara was so wonderful as a host and the home was remarkable. We enjoyed our stay so much. Our family (2 adults and two kids, ages 9 and 12) found the home spacious, comfortable, beautiful...and outside there was an amazing hot tub and outdoor sauna, which we really enjoyed using. Saara met us when we checked in and showed us around and she was so nice and helpful. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this home and we'd love to stay again sometime :)

We recently stayed in Minnas house and it was just perfect. The house is beautiful inside and is very cozy and homely. It has fantastic views out the back looking over the frozen lake and there is a little hill down to the lake which the kids used for sledding (Minna had lots of sleighs left outside for the kids to use which was very kind). The location is great as its in a little quite neighborhood in nature but also only a short drive to shops and the centre. Minna is a great host and is very reachable and quick to answer any questions. Thanks for having us.

Oikein ihana ja käytännöllinen majoitus lähellä Jyväskylän keskustaa. Hyvä varustelu ja tosi siisti, iso hieno parveke. Ruokakauppa lähellä. Rannassa meni tosi kiva ja hyvä lenkkeilytie, johon pääsi talon pihasta. Tulisimme toistekin uudelleen!

Hyvä ja rauhallinen 5. kerroksen yksiö. Kaikki tarpeellinen sisältyi huoneiston varustukseen, jopa pakastin. Sänky oli myös mukava. Ainoa miinus oli wifin puuttuminen.

Oikein mukava asunto, josta hienot näkymät järvelle. Rauhallinen ja siisti asunto, joka vastasi kuvausta. Annan kanssa kommunikointi oli sujuvaa.

Kiitos kivasta vierailusta! Nautin asunnon hiljaisuudesta, mukavuuksista ja hienoista näkymistä. Asunto on lähellä keskustaa ja se on kävelyetäisyydellä kaikesta. Kiitos paljon Sepolle ja perheelle!

Belle vue sur le lac. Appartement simple mais calme, propre et spacieux. Dommage qu'il n'y ait qu'un seul vrai couchage 2 places et pas de canapé convertible (uniquement 2 matelas à mettre au sol) l'appartement étant décrit pour accueillir 4 voyageurs.

The space had everything we needed for one night on our road trip. The sauna was great, and everything was within walking distance. The parking was great to have, and the host was incredibly responsive!

We had an amazing stay here, with 4 adults and 3 children (and a small dog). Lots of berry and mushroom picking, canoeing, enjoying the beautiful lake, sauna and hot tub and even catching a few fishes. No need to go anywhere else, there is more than enough to do on the property and surroundings. Pentti was always very responsive and nice. There was everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back here and wish we’d been able to stay longer.

Such a restful stay at Paulina's gorgeous cabin. It was absolutely magical in winter and we loved exploring the area on foot. Paulina was extremely responsive and helpful at all times. Would definitely recommend to others.

Todella kaunis paikka, upeat maisemat ja luonto. Mökissä kaikki tarpeellinen, mukavasti varusteltu keittiö ja mökki ihanan siistissä kunnossa ulkohuussia myöten :) Suosittelen lämpimästi!

Certainly recommended. the cottage was lovely and well situated. Our hast was exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. We would certainly return.

Ihana pitkä viikonloppu Jyväskylän lähellä! Mökki oli kotoisa ja tunnelmallinen. Suunnittelimme jo, että kesällä olisi kiva tulla uudestaan.

This was my second stay to Anneli's beautiful cottage. Last time, I brought my brother and son for a wonderful, family holiday. This time, I brought my new fiancé and it was so romantic and cosy. Both times, we've had a magnificent show of the Northern Lights. We were so lucky. Anneli's husband was able to give us a forecast. It's lovely to be able to warm up in the sauna after watching the Lights. We're also, not far from Santa's village so we saw dear ol' Santa too. So, I highly recommend this cottage and hope to return.

We recently moved to Finland, and this place, along with the really nice hosts, makes it easy to fall in love with the country and its people. The house and sauna are cozy and well-equipped, making it a great place to slow down and enjoy simple moments—whether reading, cooking, game nights, going for long walks, or just unwinding. Our kids really enjoyed skating on the frozen lake and exploring the surrounding nature. The combination of a hot sauna (including great view) and a dip in the cold lake was a fantastic experience for all of us. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the grocery store is close (15 minutes by car). We had a really nice time here and hope to be back some time.
