Wow, what a beautiful location. And such a lovely house. There was a an original sauna on the lake which allowed us a true Finnish experience. Elina was the perfect host. She was always responsive and keen to ensure we had a great time. Anyone booking this place will not be disappointed. We will be returning- maybe when there is snow on the ground. Thank you very much.

We spent 5 nights at Erik‘s place and it simpley was an amazing time. If you want to enjoy nature and take a break from hectic every day life, this is the right place to go! Also the outdoor sauna was a very cool experience :) 10/10 would recommend!

Ich habe diese Unterkunft zusammen mit meinem Partner im Winter besucht. Auch wenn es ein Haus am See ist, das sich besonders zur Sommerzeit anbietet, können wir es in jedem Fall auch für die kalten Tage empfehlen! Es ist kuschelig warm und wer dennoch kalte Füße bekommt, kann eine der beiden Saunen benutzen oder sich am Ofen im Wohnzimmer aufwärmen. Das Haus ist so abgelegen, dass wenig Lichtverschmutzung herrscht und man gute Chancen hat, dort Polarlichter zu sehen. Außerdem kann man auf dem gefrorenen See spazieren gehen, wenn man am Rand bleibt, denn in der Mitte soll es Strömungen geben. Es ist abgelegen und ruhig, aber nicht einsam. Das nächste Nachbarhaus ist in Sichtweite und der nächste Supermarkt ist 20 min entfernt. Wir können das Haus in jedem Fall empfehlen! Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön!

Tilava, viihtyisä ja hyvin varusteltu paikka järven rannalla. Toinen mökki melko lähellä, eikä välissä kovin paljon näköestettä. Kokonaisuutena positiivinen kokemus!

Wundervolles Haus am See, traumhafte Lage. Wir konnten die herrliche Ruhe genießen, profitierten von Waldspaziergängen und Sauna. Die Kinder liebten das Eisangeln, unsere Hündin den unendlichen Auslauf. Wir können die Villa Vanamo nur weiterempfehlen. Hier kann man wirklich entspannen und fühlt sich sofort wohl. Die Gastgeber Hannu und Ulla waren sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Herzlichen Dank!

Nautimme pitkästä viikonlopusta omassa rauhassa kauniilla mökillä ja avanto ja sauna kruunasi kokemuksen. Myös kaunis koskematon luonto ympärillä rauhoitti ja talvisaikaan muita mökkeilijöitä ei ollut ympärillä eli saimme kaipaamamme rauhan mökillä. Johanna oli hyvin ystävällinen ja ennakoiva majoituksemme suhteen. Mielellään mökkeilisimme kohteessa uudelleenkin.

Alles war toll.das Haus ist wunderschön in perfekter Lage gelegen. Gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, direkt am schönen See.Sauna,Boot und Billard sind auch großartig.großer Supermarkt (S-market)such nicht weit.man hat seine Ruhe und kann auch viel unternehmen in der Umgebung.Matti ist ein toller,sympathischer und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber!alles war wunderbar und wir kommen gerne wieder!

Persoonallinen mummonmökki rauhallisen tien varressa, kauniit näkymät järvelle. Vietimme viikonlopun Sappeella lasketellen, ja mökin sijainti oli siihen nähden optimaalinen. Talossa oli jotenkin hyvä tunnelma, meillä oli majoittuessa kohteesta hyvä fiilis. Tulisijojen ohjeet olivat selkeät. Koiran kanssa oli mukava kävellä jäällä ja lähiluonnossa. Kiitämme!

Das Haus ist einfach einmalig. Die Aussicht auf den See ist atemberaubend und es ist toll, dass man direkt im Wald ist. Unglaublich schön. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben. Kari ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat sogar kurzfristig noch eine Kinderschwimmweste für unsere Tochter organisiert. Vielen Dank! Der Whirlpool und die Saune sind top in Schuss und die Küche ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Alles in Allem war es ein toller, erholsamer Urlaub für uns und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.

Wonderful Christmas Stay in Säkylä We had a fantastic Christmas in this charming, old-style Finnish home. The house was warm, cozy, and spotless, providing the perfect setting for our family. The owner was incredibly supportive and helpful, especially in teaching us how to use the traditional sauna, as we’re new to Finnish Old Style House. His kindness and support made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking an authentic Finnish experience. Thank you for making our Christmas so special!

Tutto perfetto: superconsigliato. Se dovessi tornare in zona alloggerei sicuramente qui. Barche a remi sempre a disposizione, barbecue in riva al lago e casa comoda per 5. Natalia è stata molto cordiale.

The place is lovely, well equipped. There beautiful surroundings, it’s close to the lake and ruka safari is close by. It was a bit hard to operate the washing machine, but other than that we definitely recommend this cabin! Looking forward to visit again 🙏🏽

We ( 2 families) had an amazing stay at Johanna’s ! The house is large enough well furnished and the kitchen fully equipped. Everything as described in the listing. The location is super nice and we were able to see the northern lights from the house itself !! Johanna was quick to respond to our concerns and she takes care of providing extra heating during the very cold days! If you have a car with you.. then it’s impossible to go wrong with this stay. Thanks Johanna for hosting us .. we really enjoyed the stay !

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property, and I can't say enough good things about it! The highlight of our stay was definitely the cute sauna house, which provided a perfect way to relax and unwind. The private entrance to the lake was another fantastic feature, offering serene and beautiful views right at our doorstep and a memorable experience of swimming in the lake after the Sauna. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive to all our needs, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The entire experience was smooth and enjoyable.

Excellent séjour, un environnement magnifique au calme pour du repos, une très belle vue sur le lac gelé, nous avons pu nous relaxer dans le sauna et le bain nordique très agréable. Merci beaucoup à Markus et Liisa pour leur gentillesse et réactivité.

The villa and the surroundings are very beautiful. We much enjoyed our stay in the villa and the peacefulness and beauty of the whole area. If you have a chance to stay in this place, don’t hesitate. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Kuvat eivät tee oikeutta kohteelle, on luonnossa hienompi. Tilaa oli ruhtinaallisesti, varusteissa ei mitään puutteita. Rantasauna aivan ihana ja oma ranta toi lisää ulottuvuutta oleiluun, ja uimamahdollisuus kesähelteellä oli tervetullut. Oli mukavan viileä nukkua myös helteellä.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le chalet de Tuomas, le chalet est conforme aux photos, petit mais très fonctionnel, il ne manque rien il y a tout pour cuisinier. Le sauna traditionnel un vrai plus et sans supplément. Le chalet se situe à 35mn en voiture de Rovaniemi, il est au milieu d'une foret de sapins, au bord d'un lac. Situation idéale pour faire de belle balades, être au calme. Merci à Tuomas pour les chocolats qui ont fait fureur aupres de nos enfants. Nous recommandons et reviendrons.

Beautiful place to stay very clean and spacious cottage with lovely surroundings very peaceful. added bonus of getting to see the pair of otters out on the ice. would definitely recommend 👌

Paradise on Earth! Our stay at this beautiful lakefront property in Kangasniemi was nothing short of perfect. The location is incredibly peaceful and private, offering a true escape into nature. We loved having not one, but two saunas to enjoy—the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding area. The house itself was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to serene lake views and being able to take a quick dip after heating up in the outside sauna was a highlight of our trip. One thing to note: linens and towels aren’t included, so be sure to negotiate those with the host beforehand if you need them. If you’re looking for a place to relax and recharge in total tranquility, this is the spot. We can’t recommend it enough!
