We arrived at Hailey's home after a 12 hr drive. The home was easy to find. Its was cosy and welcoming, just what we needed to relax for the evening.

Beautiful place, friendly people that made it very enjoyable to be there.

The theme rooms were a fun touch. Beds were comfy and each bedroom had a tv and towels laid out. Very thoughtful host that had everything that you would need from coffee to toiletries. Family members lived across the street and mentioned a few times to ask if we needed anything. Also a great suggestion in the guest book to visit Burnt Cave, which we certainly did do.

We have stayed at another of Catherine's properties and were equally pleased with the house in Salmon Rock (now known as Bear Cove). It was super close to the ferry, so we will definitely be staying here again - my children appreciated not having to get up ridiculously early to drive for our 8 am crossing to Labrador. This house was pet friendly, which our senior Lab liked (as she could come with us), and everything was incredibly comfortable and clean. It is on a quiet street and very peaceful - beds were super comfy! King bed and private ensuite in the master bedroom. There were some stairs up to the front door and some more stairs up to the bedrooms and bathrooms, but this wasn't an issue for us. There were multiple couches and comfy chairs for relaxing together in the main living space, access to washer and dryer, dishwasher to make cooking and cleaning up a breeze, and all the utensils/coffee/etc. that we needed. Everything was perfect. Loved this stay! We'll be back!

Belle vieille maison typique, rénové bien situé si prévoyez allez au nord! Il y a des enfants qui joue dehors après l’école. Ça fait du bien de voire ça! Vous rencontrerez sûrement cette charmante voisine Rita avec qui viendra vous salué! Si ça vous dit de vous faire un repas de moules il y en a tout près et faciles à cueillir! Nous avons passé du bon temps à cet endroit.

My favourite place to stay on the south coast, this is a repeat visit for me. Clean, cozy, and quiet apartment with all the essentials. Close to the grocery store and many trails & tourist attractions. Margaret is a wonderful host and excellent baker. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Heading to the Labrador South Coast? This is the place for you to stay! Hands down you will not find a cleaner, well situated place with a host that goes blabber and beyond to accommodate! 5 stars is not a high enough rating for Maurice! We were stuck with a cancelled ferry crossing and he even kept us up to date on all the announcements for the upcoming crossings, and accommodated our needs for stay while waiting! Absolutely amazing!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Big Land Cottage. It’s a beautiful space -inside and out - and just what you’d hope for in a coastal Labrador cottage. The house was clean, comfortable, and equipped with all we needed in the kitchen. The views are terrific from the living and dining rooms, and from the outside deck and yard. The location was a great midway point for a day of touring to the south and then a day to the north. Thanks, Matt, for providing this great space for travelers.

Lovely spot and will become a regular resting place when coming to or from the Labrador ferry. Easy check in easy communication, well cared for accessible unit, comfortable beds and sitting area, highly recommended. Beautiful views and easy to find. Thanks for hosting us.
