This cabin does what it says. A place to retreat and use a base for exploring. With a great pub in walking distance, convenient location for exploring Norfolk and Norwich, and space to relax this is an ideal place to relax away from it all. Be patient and you maybe lucky enough to meet the local Barn Owl! We took two dogs and the communication and organisation of the trip were clear with a very friendly, responsive host. Some thought needed when bringing a larger car and it can be a tight squeeze but the space works well and if you have dogs the garden area is fully enclosed (cocker and collie proof). Cooking facilities are limited if you want lots of self catering but with some fantastic foodie pubs not far away, and The Parson Woodford 13 mins walk down the road, it’s not a problem. This cabin does what is says, provides a place to get away or use as a base with friendly responsive and helpful hosts.

A very quirky cottage, beautiful interior , lovely little garden with a seating area, parking for one car . Great location close to the high road , for provisions, coffee shops, restaurants, take aways etc( cottage very peaceful, no traffic noise) nice walks nearby for walking the dogs. Ideal location for me as I was visiting family and friends nearby . Owners live next door should you need them ( I didn’t , as everything was catered for) Will definitely be back . This place was beautiful, and Katie was an amazing host. Greeted us at the door, had a few snacks and drinks ready for us and gave us a tour and was really nice to us in general. Really good communication and really even gave us a late checkout. Honestly would recommend this place to everyone.

My stay at Kingfisher Lodge was the perfect weekend escape for me and my little staffy Freya, the properties garden is wonderful, great fun to explore and a perfect suntrap to indulge in a good book! The accommodation was clean and cosy with everything needed to relax and feel at home, with added goodies including bread, butter, eggs, jam, milk, tea, coffee, a fruit bowl and wine/beer. I slept great, the mattress was super comfy and the location is peaceful and quiet whilst being 10 mins drive from the lovely town of Bury St Edmonds and a 2 min walk from Norton Park which is a must if you're staying with a dog, it's a lovely walk with woods, a river and even a maze to enjoy. The host was friendly and accommodating and made our stay the best it could be, as did his lovely little dog Georgia. Would happily revisit. 5 stars all round.

This place is just stunning. Beautifully decorated and kitted out. Everything comfortable and homely. The hot tub was spotless and soooo lovely. Parking right outside your lodge. The setting is idyllic with the fishing lake just in front and it’s so very peaceful. You can feed the ducks as they come up to the lodges. There’s donkeys, geese, ducks, alpacas and peacock/hen. There even a games room on site with a snooker and pool table and dart board with lots of board games etc you can play. A lovely welcome package on arrival that included a bottle of Prosecco, bread, milk and biscuits. Really helpful guy on site that couldn’t do enough for us (think his name was David). Good comms with the owner Sharon. Would highly recommend.

This was a very last minute booking but Esther responded straight away and sent entry details in plenty of time. We loved the cottage and the way it has been so thoughtfully modernised and stylishly decorated. The bed was super comfy. All the small stuff had been thought about, just to try right extent. The stairs are very steep but that’s very clear from the description and there a useful movement activated light in the top hall, so you really couldn’t lose your step. We do like to sleep with a window open, so, as others have mentioned, the road noise can be a little loud but a pair of ear plugs easily sorts that out! The decor and artwork and flowers etc really make this place extra special and Lavenham and the surrounding area is a super spot for a few days away. We would happily book the cottage again.

We stayed for a long weekend in this beautiful cottage Everything was perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Lavenham is lovely, we visited Tatum’s Tea house and the Great House Hotel for a Sunday roast dinner which we highly recommend We will definitely be back to stay again

1st class communication and welcome from our hosts. One minor hiccup was solved quickly and completely. Loved the hot tub and walk-in shower. We also appreciated the welcome pack and gift 🥰
