I had a beautiful time at the Stables! It’s a getaway from the world at a working farm. I love animals, so I asked to meet some of them, and Yvonne took me to see (and pet!) the milking cows, and explained the entire process to me! The house had traditional charm but was has been updated everywhere that it counts. They have lists of local recommendations but I was happy to get groceries and use the excellent kitchen at the property. I did not have a car and was warned about difficulty getting around but as I was only interested in nature and peace and quiet, getting to and from on public transport was easy enough. Finally, Yvonne was always prompt responding to me and was very friendly and welcoming! I’d love to come back!

Fantastic stay and great location. The owners were very quick to respond when messaged and they very kindly gave us a tour of their farm which we loved. I would highly recommend. 😊

Great place has everything you need and was great for families with nice big garden and swings for children to run around in. Jan was a great host and so lovely and warm! Lots of lovely things to do around the area too!

Lovely homely stay, very comfy beds and sofa, well equipped kitchen and brilliant hot tub! Donna was so welcoming, helpful and responsive if needed. We went on some great days out to Glastonbury and Wookey Hole, plus Tyntesfield. The area was very quiet, the road did not bother us at all and we had an excellent meal at the local pub the Litton, would highly recommend.

Lovely long weekend stay in Kington, the cottage has everything you need for your stay including a much needed wood burner for the cold April evenings. Good pubs and shops and dog walks within easy walking distance of the cottage and Judith was a friendly host and quick to respond to messages.

What a beautiful home and location! Perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. Host and owners on site was excellent, giving local recommendations and freedom to explore the amazing surroundings. House was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed.

Beautiful place in the most beautiful surroundings! Very private with gorgeous views right over open fields and secluded. The property had everything you needed and was also well equipped for our stay with our 1 year old! Rosie was an excellent host and very helpful! Would 100% stay here again!

Beautiful property. Animals especially chickens and the dog were a delight to adopt for the stay. Ellie was a fabulous host avd and really gracious and helpful. A perfect place, local pub was a good walk but very doable and really friendly. All in all a great experience, host and barn.

We loved our stay at Hannah's place. Lovely home, perfect for our family. The house is well set up with everything you'd need and really clean and tidy. Lots of things for our 2 year old daughter to do and play with and really safe for her too, stair gates, enclosed private yard etc. Hannah was very helpful with directions and providing things we asked for like a high chair and cot. The location is really peaceful and quiet and was perfectly situated to get to loads of great walks and other activities in the Beacons and surrounding areas. We would recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to the region.

The Stone Barn is set in a beautiful location and the place itself is amazing. We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding in the local area and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The barn is exactly as described and fitted out well with everything you would need. Nicky and Mark were great hosts, providing detailed check in and parking information as well as initial essential items in the barn. We are already looking for our next excuse to stay here again.

Great little getaway home. The place was lovely and fitted what we needed perfectly. The host was quick at responding to any questions we had and gave us lots of goodies on arrival. Would highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at the barn.The place was immaculate and very welcoming. The place itself had everything you need, it is very well though trough.Very nicely done up, there’s definitely an eye for the attention to details.We are a family of 4, 2 little ones under 8, we has some lovely bike rides and lovely teas at the Amberley inn and the Black Horse.We did the Stroud rail trail by bike, going towards Stonehouse,it wasn’t that great we ended up cycling along a dual carriageway, not great with little ones.But toward Nailsworth there’s a little cycling trail,which was really good fun, it’s not big but enough for a couple of jumps, and a few bumps.The property is facing a lovely field with Jasper and Petal the 2 local horses,and they’ll be happy to welcome you in the neighbourhood. The kids were very cosy upstairs and downstairs was great with a toasty fireplace. My hubby is quite tall so the bed unfortunate l’y was on the small side for us, nevertheless the mattress is very comfy

Die Unterlunft war kleiner als erwartet, aber dennoch makellos sauber, mit Allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, wir haben darin super geschlafen. Alles da, was man in einer Küche so brauchen könnte… und mit kleinen Willkommensgeschenken… das hat uns sehr gefreut. Der Garten sieht zauberhaft aus. Trotz Hauptstraße ist es nicht zu laut. Sam und Adrian sind entzückend, sehr nett und immer gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder. 100% Empfehlung. 👍🏻

It was our second stay at the old stable. We feel like home and can’t wait to come back. Gillian is a great host and the house a great location to explore the Cotswolds.

Catherine was a fantastic host and we had a wonderful stay at the property. The views were absolutely stunning. We enjoyed walking around the local area including Cheddar village, Cheddar Gorge and the reservoir. The barn itself had everything we needed and it was very clean and tidy. We had a brilliant few days away! If you are looking for tranquillity, peace and quiet in an idyllic setting, you will not be disappointed. The Barn overlooked the pond, so we spent some time bird watching as we sat out on the decking during breakfast and in the evening. We stayed in The Barn, there is also The Leat next door, which we would consider, if you wanted to take additional family members. The property had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. This was the perfect location for sightseeing the surrounding area. Natalie, the host, ensured that our stay at The Barn went smoothly before and on arrival with information regarding check-in and check-out. This was a holiday break for my elderly mother-in-law, myself & my wife. We needed everything on one level with separate bedrooms/bathrooms/showers, this property met those needs. Thank you Natalie for an amazing time at this stunning property and for looking after us.

Carol’s place is very comfortable and luxurious - just as described in the listing. It’s a perfect location within walking distance of all the amenities in the lovely village of Marshfield and close to Bath and Bristol. Highly recommended.

Beautifully converted barn makes a wonderful space - in reality, it is even more picturesque than on the photos. The barn is a great base to visit Bath, Bristol, Stonehenge from, but also to explore immediate surroundings. Maggie is truly a superhost, having provided everything needed, advised on local walks, shops, eateries and made us all (including the dog) feel very welcome

We had the most wonderful time at The Old House Barn. The quaint barn is styled to perfection, creating a cosy and serene atmosphere that was ideal for relaxing in the breathtaking beautiful countryside. The modern amenities made our stay incredibly comfortable allowing us to cook meals after a day of visiting nearby villages. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and the delicious treat that greeted us on arrival. We couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect stay. Very easy to find. Long bumpy farm track but vehicles didn't have any issues. The barn was lovely, private and peaceful with enclosed gardens and hot tub. Very spacious inside with all amenities you would need. The bath was the biggest bath I've ever seen ! Shower and toilet down stairs in a huge utility. Met Lynsey who was superfriendly and very helpful. Booked in at another one of their properties on same site in a few weeks. Lots of places to walk in beautiful surroundings .

What a gem of a find. Like others have said, a lot bigger than we expected. Beautiful and warm with a wood burner to make it cosy in the evenings but to be quite honest even though it was cold outside ( we even had snow showers) the accommodation is warm enough if you didn’t want to light the woodburner. Bed very comfy with the smell of lovely fresh bed linen. Stella was at hand with a small query that we had . I would highly recommend this place to stay , tucked away with walks for the dogs just outside the door . My first words when we unlocked the door and walked in were; “ oh this is lovely, we always choose nice places “. Thankyou Stella
