We had an amazing time staying here! It was easy to find, and close to Malone and Saranac Lake. The open concept living room had lots of space to lounge around and kick back with friends, and it gave us a beautiful view of the winter wilderness while keeping us warm and cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the old-school coffee grinder was a nice touch. We made friends with a lady bug and enjoyed the hot tub! In addition, the owner was receptive and helpful, all while respecting our privacy. Tl;dr: chill owner, good location, lots of indoor activities, HOT TUB.

Lauren’s House was perfect for my family of 4 and friends. It’s very spacious. Fireplace makes it nice and cozy. Hot tub was amazing. We had to buy gas for the bbq, and had to look around for some extra towels, of which they had in the basement. A lot of dishes and utensils for the kiddos. Close to white face mountain. Would definitely return when there’s a lot of snow.

This cabin is terrific. We appreciated the hot tub and sauna. The area is gorgeous and close to whiteface. The kitchen is well appointed w kid and adult plates and cutlery. The cabin was very cozy and well insulated. Tip- get a bundle of firewood along the way for the sauna. The nearby Stewart’s was out.

Had a wonderful stay at the honeymoon cabin. The surroundings were quiet, peaceful, and private. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away and enjoy a tranquil setting in a cozy, comfortable cabin. Host Meghan was awesome and the add-on breakfast option she provided was delicious. Would love to come and stay again in the future.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our dog immediately fell in love with the space both inside and out. It was great to have a place to stay with our dog where we didn't have to worry about others around (our dog is a bit reactive to other people), and we could easily go outside and immerse ourselves in quiet, peaceful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely have to consider staying again if we come back up to visit the Adirondacks in the future!

Very nice cabin to get away to for the weekend while skiing at Whiteface right down the road. Hope's place is very cozy. Hope also provided us helpful tips in regards to the winter storm that occurred during our stay, with providing us a useful website in an event if the power goes out, etc. The hot tub is a plus to have. I highly recommend Hope's place. Thank you!

What a beautifully done property. The location is gorgeous, and the cabin and out buildings are so well decorated. The sauna and hot tub make for the ultimate spa experience, and having the river right there makes it a home run. Loved the upstairs chill area and the bedroom with French doors. Would 100% come back to experience in different seasons

This cabin was cozy, warm and welcoming. The view is beautiful and in the summer there would be no place better to be, the beach is literally across the street. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Beds were very comfortable, and the bedroom is huge. The bathroom was good sized and plenty of towels, we did only have one roll of toilet paper but maybe that was an oversight. Decks and the screened in porch were other added pluses but we didn't of course use them or the fireplace, also an awesome feature.

Beautiful cabin down to every last detail. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. We had fun snowshoeing on the trails.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights while we took care of some business in the area. The cabin is off the beaten path and has a cozy feel. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay—only 4 minutes to the ski slopes! The host was super helpful, quick to respond, and even adjusted the room for us. The welcome email was detailed, and the text reminders were warm and thoughtful. The cabin had a rustic charm, with lovely Christmas decorations and even a bottle of wine—a very thoughtful touch! It stayed perfectly warm throughout our stay. The only downside was the kitchen setup. There was no kettle, the pots didn’t have lids, and the knives were too dull to cut even tomatoes. The bedrooms were a bit tight, with no bedside table in the main bedroom, and there wasn’t a dresser with drawers, which made organizing a bit challenging. Overall, a wonderful experience—thank you for the hospitality!

I was coming into the Adirondacks to do some backpacking. We were going to be arriving late and starting the trip early in morning, so we just needed a place to crash for the night and sort some gear in the morning while we had breakfast. This was a perfect spot and exactly what we needed, though it would have been tempting to relax there for a few days.

We only stayed for a quick overnight but wish we could’ve stayed longer and we will definitely be coming back in the future. The cabin was perfect and the location was so peaceful, private and beautiful. Kasia was a great host and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful stay while visiting our daughter at SUNY Potsdam. Interior is lovely, with so many thoughtful details for guests’ comfort. The long family table is partly why I booked The Buckton House — we shared a meal and had a memorable evening by the fire with family and my daughter’s friends. It was perfect. We’d love to stay again.

Camp Timberock is a rare find. We chose the cabin because of the unlimited options for paddling and hiking. Despite the cold temperatures, we took advantage of the area and spent a lot of time exploring. One of my favorite parts of Timberock would be the deck with the outdoor fireplace. We also appreciated all of the supplies in the kitchen, the extra blankets and the endless supply of wood for the fire. Hope to return next year!

Have stayed multiple times, is a great comfortable place to stay. We love that is has great views and is right on the river, very peaceful. We will be back again!

This cabin was amazing, felt right at home. The details with the decor were great, wish I could live there :) Host was very responsive and accommodating for early check in. We enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour! La petite cabine est propre, joliment décorée, intime, toute simple et parfaite pour celles et ceux qui cherchent à se reposer. Nous avons adoré nous promener en raquettes dans le boisé de l'érablière et les champs qui entourent l'endroit, pour nous réchauffer par la suite sur le bord du feu avec un bon chocolat chaud. Se concentrer sur les choses simples de la vie; lire, discuter, partager un bon repas, faire la sieste, jouer aux cartes, admirer le coucher de soleil, voici à notre avis le genre de programme qui se marie à merveille avec la cabine! À seulement 1h20 de Montréal, c'est l'option rêvée pour prendre de l'air frais entourés de calme et d'un silence apaisant. Françis est proactif, convivial et sympathique. Nous recommanderons cet endroit à nos proches sans hésiter!

Great place for family mini vacation. Cozy cabin with a lot of waterfront activities. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, swimming and of course fire pit during evening. Hosts are super friendly!!!

Bruce was an excellent host! He gave great recommendations and clear instructions. The driving directions were so good we were able to find the place in the dark lol. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable, had everything we needed. The view in the morning was quite nice. The beds were warm and comfortable and the whole place was clean with more than enough towels and blankets. The only thing I'd note is that it's not entirely a true ski in/out experience. We were expecting to be able to ski right from the cabin door onto the hill (as per other ski in/out places we've rented) but if you did that, you'd end up skiing into a building (don't do that, haha) We had to carry our skis past a row of cabins and sheds to get to the hill where we were able to get on. I'd describe it as more of a slope-side cabin than ski in/out. It's not a big deal, still very convenient, just a bit different than described. Overall, I'd give it a 10/10, would recommend!

Kari’s place was warm and accommodating, a lovely place to retreat into the mountains for a few days. The kids loved playing in the yard & we loved cozy evenings by the fire. Kari was such a wonderful, responsive host, full of local recommendations & when the coffee pot went on the fritz, she zipped over and replaced it immediately. We had a wonderful trip & would definitely come again!

We LOVED our stay at Little Nell’s cabin and will definitely be back! It was cozy and in a great location for all the outdoor activities we wanted. The bed was super comfy and the lake right outside our door was so beautiful to wake up to. We enjoyed hiking up a short mountain right from the cabin. We will be back.

The home was in a beautiful location with Great Lake access. Home recently remodeled and clean. Some accessibility concerns for older/ younger guests due to many stairs down to the house and water front. Navigation was made more difficult due to lack of leaf removal in outside areas including stairs and outdoor dining space. A rake and broom were provided but removal ahead of guest arrival would have been optimal
