Great location, peaceful and still convenient to town. The place was better than we were expecting. There is lots of room in the house, doesn't feel cramped at all. There was even a hot tub (it had a couple issues, which is why it wasn't in the post, but it was working well enough to use.) Owner was very responsive. I'd stay there again.

Robert’s place is great for a getaway to explore the west coast of the South Island. It has everything you need. The views are stunning and the place is very quiet and peaceful. The house was sparkling clean and everything worked to perfection. Robert is a great host and we can highly recommend his place.

This place is gorgeous and would be my dream house. The bedrooms were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and clean. The living room furniture is super comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. One thing to note is there is only 1 air conditioner for the whole place. It works really well but you have to leave open the bedroom doors otherwise the rooms get warm. If you have snorers in the family beware. You can’t really open the doors or windows at night because it’s tropical and so many bugs come in. I think providing a fan for the rooms would be nice. It’s a minor thing but something people may want to know. It really is a beautiful place and I wish I could live there.

The lookout is a beautiful family home with an exciting surrounding. Given the location the house is a bit humid, but we'll equipped for adults and kids as well. The hiking trails are very close and Rebecca has great advices for places to visit. We had a great time staying here! :) thank you for all!

Its the only place we've ever stayed where we could leave the front sliding door open all night - we felt so secure (and it was hot! ) Lovely hosts, great shower, comfy bed , easy access, very generous breakfast and friendly dogs. We felt very special staying at Janie's Place. Thank you.

Well the pictures instantly appealed- but it’s much larger in real life. The accessibility for me of being able to check in at 9pm was very helpful and as I had a lot of gear with me having the door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading. The details in the memrobilia were very interesting and yet a classic collection that was visually appealing A very classy apartment. Also much warmer and quieter that I had expected.

Beautiful house . Peaceful location and very private . Place looks exactly like the photos . Huge space . The kitchen is huge with a nice barstool table . Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean . Clean towels . Steve is proactive in communications and very fast responses if you ask him anything . We had only one night here but loved it . Thanks Steve .

A fantastic place to unwind and enjoy nature. We can’t recommend it enough.
