We had an amazing stay at Sarah's place. Place was very clean just the why it was described. Best part of our stay was of course the hot tub. We will definitely be coming back again.

Lovely home on a great lot that offers privacy and tranquility while being close enough to downtown Galena. Clean, cute, welcoming, and well-equipped, plus many fun extras like ping pong and snow cone maker that came in handy on a rainy day. Plenty of room for two adults and two teens. Pet friendly but did not smell of pets at all. Mattresses were comfortable and bathrooms and amenities were great. Living room fireplace worked well and ample firewood and firestarter was at the house. Hot tub was very clean. We did not use association pool or space but did hike the nearby galena territory trails, which were well kept. It's truly dark at night, which made for great stargazing, but glad we arrived during daylight hours the first day. Appreciated the organized and thoughtful initial communication and info provided by the owner, and her kind check-ins during our stay. We would stay here again!

Had a fantastic stay- our focus was hiking at Starved Rock and it was perfect for that. We’re thinking of a summer trip to kayak now as well. The townhouse is very cozy and the dining table was great for playing games with the family. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large. Our kid was excited to use the big jacuzzi tub for bath time. Plenty of counter space to cook together. Recommend bringing foil or plastic wrap as there is none available. Will need to have all ingredients on hand- there are no supplies left from previous guests with things like oil/Pam. Big grocery options are just a short drive away though. For those with electric cars, the Flying J has good level 2 chargers-not as fast as described in listings though. Saw Tesla chargers at the HyVee as well.

This place was the perfect location for myself and my friends to relax and unwind for a weekend. The walk to the lake was nice and the house was spacious enough that it never felt cramped. The added bonus of two nesting cranes near the property to marvel at was the cherry on top!

The hubs & I were looking for a quiet place to have some down time for a few days. This cabin was perfect. Quiet & private location, hot tub, great amenities that made staying in easy & local options if we wanted to venture out.

Fun stay! My boys loved the games. The location was perfect for getting to the state parks. It was quiet during the week we were there, but I hear the little town nearby has lots of festivals and such. We did not go to the Lodge for the waterpark or mini golf, but will inquire next time. We were able to run around the villas and get some exercise without traffic. Pretty well stocked with everyday items in the kitchen. Bring your toiletries with you. We would like to stay again and recommend this place.

We had a great stay! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was relaxing and very peaceful. The views of the deer and bison on the hills were spectacular.

OMG… didn’t not disappoint. The house is so cute and perfect. It was exactly what my husband and I needed for a one night stay in Michigan. We had a beautiful 60 degree day and loved hanging out in the screened porch and hot tub was enjoyable to use later in the evening. Super comfy bed as well. We will be back!

We loved the Buffalo house for a quick getaway. The house was so cool and very family friendly with lots of cool sleeping areas, lots of places to gather for dinner or games, and included all amenities you could need. We were here off season and the beach(es) were very small and very difficult to access so I would reach out to the hosts before booking if you’re looking for a beach vacation to get clarification on the beaches. We also came during the week and the surrounding towns were ghost towns with most businesses closed Monday through Wednesday so be aware of that. The neighborhood was super safe and a very unique area to enjoy a walk with the family. Communication was flawless! Thanks for sharing your hidden gem with us.

This little cottage has become an annual tradition for my husband, pup, and I. It’s a peaceful little setting tucked away from a larger city. The thought and care that the hosts put into the amenities is evident. I highly recommend this little cottage for anyone looking to get away into the woods while also having all the conveniences of a city nearby. I had a family situation come up that required me to make changes to the reservation with short notice this year and the hosts were very flexible and easy to work with. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Took 2 kids and 2 dogs on a hiking getaway. The surrounding area is full of state parks. We love there was a nice green space in the back for the kids and dogs to play. Be sure to pack your tethers. The home itself was cozy and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and baking ware. It was beautiful to watch the sunset every night.

I was in Rock Island for a quick trip and Catherine's place was a cozy spot to end my adventure. The view of the Rock River is wonderful and the deck looked charming--just wish it had been a bit warmer to enjoy it. I loved the vintage decor throughout--all the mushrooms were so cute--and slept well. Definitely a good spot if you're in the quad cities and want something that feels remote while still being close to everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Tim was a welcoming and helpful host, taking the time to show us around the property and making sure we had everything we needed. Despite the cold weather and strong winds on the first day, we enjoyed the cozy warmth of the wood stove inside the cabin. Our kids were thrilled to explore the beautiful forest trails and spent hours outside, soaking in the fresh air and natural surroundings. The cabin itself is charming and authentic, perfect for escaping the hustle and routine of city life. We truly had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this peaceful retreat.

Christmas in the Cozy Cabin this year was terrific. Clean, convenient, and a host who provided exactly what we needed. This was our third visit... And we'll be back!

Just a wonderful 3 day stay during a curling bonspiel in Columbia County. What a beautiful cabin tucked back in a private wooded area with a wealth of wildlife ( deer, turkeys, eagles). Melissa gets all the details right and takes away any worries associated with staying away from home. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for something that feels like home. . Springbrook was the perfect cozy getaway we hoped it would be. The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was very peaceful. We enjoyed a bonus parade of deer at twilight one evening. We are hoping to come back in the fall to enjoy the cabin again!

This is a very cozy cabin by a beautiful lake, featuring panoramic windows and lots of interesting interior details. The location is very convenient yet secluded from other houses.
