Our stay here was excellent. It is so spacious and pristine and Martin and his wife are wonderful hosts. While we had no problems, I did reach out about a couple things (possibly extending our stay, what all was in the kitchen as I had to prepare food for a wedding, etc) and every time I got a very prompt and helpful response, which meant the world. We will definitely be staying here for future trips.

Great stay, no problems. Older basement apt that fit our needs with 4 people and 2 dogs. Sleeps 6 but only 1 bathroom. Short walk to Loudoun street where there is plenty of food and a quaint coffee shop. Michele was excellent host and communicated quickly and check in/out was super easy.

Thanks so much for having us, Amy! I loved all the colors and decorations. We apprecaited how you all took this space and made it something really special. We could tell how much TLC was poured into it. Thanks for the awesome communication before and during our stay. **I did want to make note of a few things for future guest** If you are much over 6 feet tall, there are a few places you'll need to duck. My husband hit his head on a pipe in the hallway a few times before he remembered it was there. Also, just remember that full beds aren't as long as queens and kings. The kitchen sink water gets REALLY hot, so use cation. The shower had wonderful pressure and great temps! The bed was comfortable. We did hear the animals upstairs some in the night. It didn't bother us, but if you are sensitive to sound, make note that this is a basement rental and you may hear some above you. The TV doesn't come with cable or rabbit ears, you must log into and log out. Overall, it's unique!

I highly recommend this place. It's cozy, clean, classy, and the neighborhood is awesome and full of dining options within walking distance. The wi-fi is very fast, the bed is comfy, and Kim is cool!

The most convenient stay I have ever had!

Lovely interior, just as pictured. All amenities provided and well designed with thoughtful touches. Grateful to have had a respite here. Donna is an excellent host and very responsive and helpful.

What a great spot and nicely renovated historic home with so much charm! Loved the chickens and Trent was very friendly. Very comfortable bed!

This was the perfect spot to hang out with some close friends, enjoy good food, and watch the Super Bowl. There was more than enough space. The open lay out let those of us in the kitchen take part in all the conversations and activities. We had everything we needed at the house. I especially appreciated the downstairs bedrooms near the back door for our dogs. Matthew was super responsive and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better space!

This gorgeous and massive space is great for large gatherings. Wifi connection was excellent and even accomodated video conferences. Gorgeous view. Some items in the kitchen were dirty (dish towels, dishes, etc.) and we had heating issues that were solved - nothing worth leaving anything but 5 stars. Overall, would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful home and location. Host was very responsive, helpful, and attentive during our stay. We definitely would love to come back during the warmer months to fish and hike. The local butcher had delicious steaks that we cooked on the grille, got live bait from the gas station down the road, and the Mexican restaurant in town was absolutely delicious. Wonderful experience and stay for the new year. The fires and smores by the river were our kid’s favorite thing to do.

I will say excellent things about this place. I will say excellent things about this place. Welcome to the schoolhouse, where the decor and environment remind you of days of yore. With a gorgeous views especially out the back and kitchen side, we enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub. We enjoyed an outing of a hike in the PawPaw tunnel, and had some food at Cheryl's Snack Shack. We were seeking a private place with easy access but felt remote, within a couple hours from home. We achieved that goal, and we enjoyed ourselves. Kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of towels for the hot tub.

The house was easy to find right on route 11. Julie & Matt were very friendly and communicative. They allowed us to push back our check in because of snow. The driveway and walkway were plowed and shoveled for us before we arrived. We did have a little hiccup with the heat on our first night (it was a super cold spell), but I woke up to a message from Matt with his handyman ready to come take a look. It was easily fixed and they followed up later in the day to make sure! The house was great for our family of 5, the kids had the entire upstairs area and the kitchen was well stocked with everything necessary to cook at home! We loved the view out back of the mountains and cow pasture. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful home; pristine condition - spotless, comfortable, light and airy. Space was also tastefully decorated and kitchen well stocked. Everything is well thought out down to the multi-device charger ;) I truly enjoyed my stay here and look forward to returning. Host proactively checked in during check-in and check-out. It also snowed while I was there and the porch and steps were immediately cleared.

This house is in a fabulous location. It's really a nice big space with plenty of rooms for everyone to spread out, if they want to. The town is really walkable and we enjoyed walking to lunch, dinner & all of the shops.

The home was as pictured and a great getaway for seclusion in the country. We appreciated the cleanliness, the water filtration system and much more. Thank you Marie for a beautiful stay.
