This is my first time in Aptos so everything was new. The view of the beach from the patio is as advertised. I only wished that our stay was more about the town itself (there to visit someone in Santa Cruz). I would stay again here should the circumstances change. Alla is very responsive in the few times we exchanged messages.

James’s place in Capitola was really lovely. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer! He offered a lot of special touches that made it feel like home and you can tell he cares very much about his guests experience. Except for the shampoo, I really enjoyed my stay. Wonderful location (took me a minute to find it), very unique and right where you can access all the lovely things that Capitola has to offer. I defintely recommend this lovely cottage to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

It was worth the cost to stay. Felt very comfortable for our family.

Wow! What a wonderful home. It was very easy to find. It was walking distance from the beach. It has the most gorgeous copper bath tub outside on a private patio. There’s also an outdoor table and chairs, at which I ate pretty much every meal. This place is also extremely affordable for what you get! I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Phillip for your hospitality!

It was a lovely stay! Everything went smoothly and all amenities were ready for use and also easy to use. The property is beautiful and close to lots of things to do while being surrounded by nature. The hosts were responsive and helpful, easy to work with. I was not expecting how close the neighbors would be, but that really didn't impact how nice of a time we had at all. A sweet pup came by a few times and that was really fun. Overall a fantastic time!

We had a wonderful stay at Susan‘s place. I couldn’t recommend it more highly! The place was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and it had all the amenities that we needed! It is also in close distance to the beach and the boardwalk. I would definitely stay there again!

This was my third stay- whenever I want to go off the grid but have all of the comforts of home, this is the first place I think of (I’d probably have more stays here but I am pretty much a spontaneous booker, so Vicki’s place isn’t always available when I want a local getaway). If you’re not local, it’s also a great home base for everything Santa Cruz County has to offer. Vicki is an excellent host and I highly recommend!

We’d give another star if we could. The cottage was perfect in every way and Ron and Nikki are great hosts. We and our two pups felt right at home in the cozy space with its lovely enclosed patio. There were more amenities than one would ever expect, including every kitchen utensil, gadget and small appliance you could possibly need. Also all the spices, condiments and other food items were much appreciated, as well as a selection of local pastries, charcuterie items and fruit. Great TV, comfy bed, amazing shower…. We have to stop now…. Thanks again, Ron and Nikki. We’ll be back!

Jim and Lisa were the highlight of our trip! They were both so friendly and kind. Great way to start our trip! The house is right down the street from Arana Gulch. Jim mentioned that it leads right down to the beach so we took about a 30min walk to watch the sunset! The house had everything we needed from spices for cooking to extra toiletries. The house was always warm, water was always hot and plenty of extra linens throughout the house. 10/10 recommend staying here!
