This is my first time visiting 成功鎮, and I'm happy I put this beautiful town in my itinerary. Everything is relaxing, much more could be explored than I expect. Yu is very helpful and communicated leaving detailed instruction for the entering and usage of facilities. And she also recommended many good places in the town that really help for those who visit here first time. The place is cozy and chill, if you would like to experience the way that local live, this is a good place to stay. And I'm look forward to next visiting. Highly recommend to those who looking for local place of east coast of Taiwan.

Hsu Yin is a consummate host, very friendly and helpful. She provided recommendations for my bike route so I could avoid the busy highway 9. She gave me a walking guide tour after dinner, showcasing what makes the quaint town special. The next day, she sent us on our way with yams she grew herself and bananas. We were only passing through so stayed one night but Chishang would be an excellent base for day trip adventures in the East Rift Valley.

Everything was great!!

This is the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. It's hard to know where to begin! The house is gorgeous (tasteful hardwood furnishings!) and immaculate, the hosts even more so. Everyone from Carol to her sister to her dad went out of their way to make me feel at home. They gave me space whenever I wanted it, while at the same time giving me ample opportunity to get to know the town and its people -- even inviting me to dinner with the family, and to an end of year community party. Dongli itself is beautiful. I wish I could post some of the photos I took while walking & cycling there (they let me borrow a top-notch road bike). It's so peaceful, and I always felt safe walking my puppy around the village, even sometimes without his leash! It's that kind of place. (The host family love dogs btw!). At the breakfast spot (3 min walk away), make sure you ask for the "egg cakes", they're better than they sound. There's v. good AC and wifi and Carol and her sister speak great English.
