Michael's home was precisely what we wanted for a two-week remote work/vacation. A classic 1920s house, room for two people to work, front porch that was perfect for drinking coffee on in the morning, and a private backyard with a hot tub that we used almost every evening. The street was exactly as busy/quiet as we wanted -- not so quiet that we felt like nobody lived there, but not so busy that we had to deal with traffic noise or heavy pedestrian traffic. We quickly made friends with the neighborhood cat, who would come sit on our laps if we were on the porch. In the evenings and on weekends we could walk to the beach and multiple restaurants, or take a five-minute drive into downtown Galveston. Overall, a beautiful house in a great location.

We stayed at Tammy's place with our 2 grandsons. It is a lovely place. The house was spotless and in a great location. Our grandsons spent so much time on the beach which is just steps away from the house. My husband and I could sit on the covered porch and watch them dig for hours. Of course, we were right there with them when they wanted to go boogie boarding (3 boards available at the house). The house was well stocked with dishes, glasses and pots. Tammy gave us recommendations on where to grocery shop and even a nice restaurant down the road. If I had a question, she was very responsive and answered quickly. The hot tub was an added bonus which we all enjoyed at night. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We certainly hope to be able to visit again. Thank you!

My family and I had a great stay. Every picture and everything listed were very accurate. Geat space and lots of sleeping accommodations.

The property is beautiful… there is a view from every window and balcony. You can see the ocean and the bay… unique for Galveston Island. There is a pond directly outside and with the fountain, which kept mosquitos away. The kitchen is good for entertaining a family, and there is a formal and outdoor dining area. I would suggest bringing a bed pillow, high quality pan, and extra roll of paper towels. Alex was nice and responsive. The resort is family oriented and the quiet was well worth the 20 minute drive. We will stay with this host again!

The place was exactly like the pictures. Easy check in and very responsive hosts. We felt right at home when we walked in. Easy access to the beach and the provided wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, and sand toys made it even nicer to enjoy the beach. We enjoyed the top deck area and view of the fountain and bay. The resort is about a mile away and provides nice amenities to enjoy if you choose to purchase the reasonably priced pass.

Just what I needed for a last-minute get away.. a small house with the necessities. I was happy about the size because of my back injury; I can barely move or stand, so short distances were helpful. It was close by to all things that I needed to access! I did bring my two pups, and it was great for them. I had to observe them in the backyard because the fencing wasn’t super secure, but this was okay, as my dogs do not try to escape. This is a pet friendly stay, and there may be traces of dog hair, as there were some when I arrived. This did not deter me AT ALL, and the house was not unkempt by any means! Just something to keep in mind for anyone not use to pups. The bedroom sleeps a bit warm; the window unit may need a cleaning/maintenance. Minor detail. It was an accommodating visit. Candice is helpful. Pay attention to her instructions on the location. I was initially confused on where to go. Perfect for a quick couple of sleeps and providing a desk for remote work. Barbara certainly put a lot of work, and personal touch to make this place right at home. We were very relaxed and happy here -our toddler also had so much fun. We would love go come back !

I started out looking for a place nearby my best friend’s home which the Airbnb luckily was located 10 minutes away. This was due to me having surgery and recuperating for at least two weeks here in Houston before I headed back to my hometown of Corpus Christi. Rebecca and Mai are excellent hosts. We loved everything about the Airbnb. Everything was clean. They were very responsive with messages. The area is super nice and friendly. The neighbors all came out and talked to us. Very dog friendly. We will surely be back in the summer and enjoy the beach. Thank you so much for the comfortable stay. It made post surgery all that much better staying at your home. We had a great time and could not have been be happier with Mary and Henry’s place.

This property is the perfect example of "don't judge a book by it's cover". The exterior shows the age of the property, but the interior has been completely renovated with modern fixtures and furnishings. With a location walking distance to the Baycliff fishing pier and a local restaurant, this was the perfect accommodation for myself and a few friends after a day of fishing on the bay. The back patio area was also a great addition, with a fire pit and grill available. Would definitely check availability and stay again next time we are in town. Thank you again for making us feel at home!

From check in to check out, everything was smooth and as expected. On 2nd day, I realized I would need to extend and was so easy and hassle free!! I stayed for 2 weeks. On start of 2nd week, Ms. Annie dropped by with extra toiletries. Paper towels etc. Waling in.. beautiful and well designed! Color choices are bright and welcoming. The master bathroom.. OMG.. one of the reasons I chose this place. Deep soaking tub, within the large shower area. The beds are soft yet firm, for good nights sleep. If I'm back in the area I will definitely rent again! Than you Eduardo and Ms. Annie for a great hassle free stay!!!

Beautiful and comfortable historical home in the heart of Galveston. Beds, linens, pillows were very nice and comfortable. Highly recommended.

My family & I stayed here to celebrate our vow renewal. The Cardinal Cottage is absolutely so beautiful and peaceful and homey feel! Mallory and Melina are such amazing host and really went above and beyond to make us feel special! Our kiddos loved the upstairs loft area! The front porch is so beautiful as well! This place is 10 out of 10!!! I would book this home again in a heartbeat! Also so close by the shopping mall and so many restaurants!

Janis was a phenomenal host and was great at helping us secure a last minute spot for a family vacation. The space was tastefully decorated while maintaining the historic charm of the house. The kitchen was beautiful and equipped with great appliances. The bathrooms were spacious, aesthetically pleasing, and functional - to note one of the showers is a handheld. The beds were firm, but comfortable for all members of my family - I slept on the pull out couch and had no problem! The location of Janis’s home was perfectly situated a short walk from the Seawall and a quick drive to many of the shops and restaurants in Galveston. You can hear the Gulf from the front door and the neighborhood was quiet. We had a lovely stay in this beautiful historical home and look forward to the next time we can book again!!!

The home was extremely nice and clean. Everything that we needed (towels, seasonings, charcoal, cleaning supplies, etc.) was abundantly available. Would love to visit again and was definitely worth the price.

Chad and Sharon’s house is awesome. It was exactly as described and was a great location. The house was very clean and had everything we needed (minus food and drinks). There was even a stocked coffee bar! We would definitely stay at their place again, they are wonderful hosts.
