This was a great place to stay. Matthias and Rebekka are nice people, and the apartment looked just like the photos: modern, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Having a washer and dryer was a real bonus. It’s also a wonderful headquarters in Reykjavik … parking is right outside, it’s close to downtown, it’s near a great bakery, coffee shop, several burger shops and a convenience store. Plus, in one minute you can be on the main road out of the city to explore the many natural attractions surrounding Reykjavik. And as an added bonus it’s just a 4 – 5 minute stroll to one of the city’s great swimming pool/hot tub/sauna/steam room complexes. If it’s available, don’t hesitate to book their apartment. (PS … I found that parking in downtown Reykjavik was difficult …. not that many spaces and the parking “zones” were confusing to figure out. If you’re able to, just hop on one of the many electric scooters that are all around and you can be anywhere you want in Reykjavik in 5 minutes.)

Eines der besten AirBnb‘s die ich je war und Sigrún ist eine ausgezeichnet freundliche Gastgeberin die ich und ihre Wohnung nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen kann. Die Lage ist super vor allem wenn man einen Mietwagen hat und liegt direkt am Meer! Der Ausblick aus dem Balkon mit einem Tee/Kaffee auf das Meer und die Eisberge ist einfach traumhaft schön. Gerne würde ich falls es nochmal nach Island geht, gerne diese Wohnung bevorzugen. Danke für Alles und hoffentlich auf eine baldiges Wiedersehen.

Natalia’s place is in a great location. Very clean, great layout, and looks just like the pictures. Brikk bakery was our fav place for flat white’s and delicious croissants! Nice walking trail by the harbor close by and easy walk to Sky Lagoon. Highly recommend!

Oh we absolutely loved this darling little place. Very cozy especially in winter. Felt like our own little cozy cave. Very walkable to groceries, restaurants, so close to airport and Blue Lagoon. Highly recommend for a visit to SW peninsula of Iceland.

We were staying for a couple of nights at the end of our trip and this was a perfect location just outside of Reykjavik but close enough to visit and explore the city. Very new apartments so everything in excellent condition and well fitted out with everything you need. Ground floor apartment with clear instructions provided on how to get in.

Magnea’s apartment was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, warm and very well appointed. The apartment decor is not only comfortable but so cute and thoughtful. I loved all the local touches. And the location can’t be beat!! Right across from the sea with fantastic views. Great for relaxing and watching the world go by, which was my entire agenda. I also found it easy to walk to the small grocery store for food as well as the bus stop to ride into Reykjavik - take the #55 to the #1, and then voila! Magnea was very responsive and helpful - a perfect host. I would definitely stay here again!!

Spędziliśmy tydzień w apartamencie wynajmowanym przez Dagnę i był to wspaniały czas. Apartament jest świetnie zlokalizowany na wzgórzu z panoramicznym widokiem na miasto aż po ocean. Któregoś wieczora za oknem pojawiła się zorza polarna. Raczej dla osób dysponujących samochodem. Mieszkanie jest wygodne, można poczuć się jak u siebie w domu. Są wszystkie potrzebne udogodnienia. Dagny jest bardzo komunikatywnym gospodarzem. Szybko odpowiada na wiadomości i jest pomocna.

Very spacious and comfortable apartment! Asdis and other air bnb host responded to our questions quickly and were very helpful. We met the host who lives upstairs and her husband, both were kind and friendly. I’d recommend this Air Bnb to anyone.

The Water Tower is a unique building and beautifully designed and decorated. It is a short drive from The Blue Lagoon, so an ideal place to stay for a visit. The views are spectacular with wide windows to view the ocean and surrounding areas. It is extremely comfortable with very high end fixtures and fittings. We loved the open plan kitchen and living area at the top of the Tower which is large and full of natural light. Super comfy beds. We had a really great stay!

My friend and I absolutely adored this beautiful home! From the location to the cleanliness to the aesthetics, it was all perfection. Anthony and Yr are wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed chatting with and getting to know them! We even jokingly wondered how much it would cost to have Anthony design our homes! We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

The views are spectacular and the place is clean , cozy and has everything you might need , we could not have asked for more . Svana was very responsive and nice to communicate with , we felt welcomed and being taken care of every step of the way . Beautiful surroundings , the accommodation was expensive but Iceland is expensive everywhere . Beds really comfy, and house was lovely and warm with stunning views of the city .

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Our host was a kind and pleasant elderly gentleman, and the house was a real Icelandic home located in a quiet and peaceful village. It was his actual residence, and while the house was somewhat old, it was spacious enough for our family of four—two children and us as a couple—without any inconvenience. Although the official address suggests that it is not in Reykjavik but in a nearby town, the location was still great, and driving to the city center was quick and convenient, so it was not an issue at all.

This was an incredible home! It was such a charming space that still had all of the modern comforts. The nature preserve that it sits on is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds. The game barn and the private hot spring were highlights of the property and I have to say that this was our favorite of the four places that we stayed while visiting Iceland.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Blick direkt auf die Bucht. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt benötigt, man kann es auch für länger aushalten. Da wir ein Auto hatten, kamen wir auch schnell überall hin, die öffentliche Erreichbarkeit können wir nicht beurteilen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Stop! Look no further if you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik. This penthouse is spacious, beautifully decorated, very well equipped for whatever you may need, and sparkling clean. The hosts were fantastic— they communicated with us clearly and honestly and provided everything they said they would. We recommend them as highly as possible and would definitely return here on our next Icelandic adventure.

The Harbor Apartment was perfect to visit Reykjavik. It’s clean, comfortably furnished, nicely decorated, and wonderfully warm and inviting on a cold January visit to Iceland. The location was unbeatable, just across the street from the scenic old harbor and near plenty of excellent restaurants and steps from a small market for your daily needs. The host provided voluminous tips on getting around and responded quickly with a work-around when we discovered that the Internet network listed in the check-in instructions was down. We would definitely stay here again. Just one small caveat for light sleepers—the bedroom window is located next to the ground floor elevator and you can occasionally hear the voices of people coming and going, or stomping the snow off their shoes before they get in the elevator.

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen. Vielen Lieben Dank für Alles und die tolle Kommunikation!

Thank you to the brilliant hosts for making our stay so enjoyable. Perfect location beside the sea, and within 5 minutes drive of the supermarket and restaurants in Akranes. Under an hour into the city centre and just over an hour to the airport. The ideal base. Salvor and Bjorn were so kind and welcoming. The apartment looks out at the sea, and was immaculately prepared. Full of personal touches and all essentials. The hot tub was a godsend each night, and we got the northern lights on our last night. What an end to a great stay. Fully recommend staying here. If it was a hotel it would be a 5 star. Thank you again to our lovely hosts.

Unnur’s place was absolutely spectacular, and she was an exceptional communicator. She went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed, including a charging adapter upon arrival and extra towels for my comfort. Her communication was truly outstanding.
